PMDG 737-600 High Detail Update released
Sure. On initial load outside of the plane you will see first screenshot with seethrough for example on engine, gear bay and even on some parts of fuselage. You see at the engine that even parts of the model aren't loaded at all. After entering the cockpit, the plane initialises and then going out again (except having this pita external equipment loaded that I do not want) all fine. I know other planes take some time to initialise on first loadup like fenix and some others like the JF have some lights on until you enter cockpit but pmdg is the only one for me that is actually doing this thing. At least for me.

PMDG 737-600 High Detail Update released
Hahahahaha. I did the same but in PMDGs world that never happened and we are so called trolls 😄 I can live with that for sure... Otherwise you can still not walk the stairs or enter the plane in avatar mode or walk the cabin. Immersion and innovation is something that they honestly seem not to be even able to spell at PMDG anymore. On initial load walking around the plane you still get parts of model missing like the engine interior in parts and severe lookthroughs. So you have to enter cockpit for plane init first and then go out again. The official updated liveries have issues also. I don't get the hype about this anymore to be honest.

Asobo Caravan vs BlackSquare vs Kodiak 100 in 2024
I have flown the Asobo Caravan and own both the BS Caravan and the SWS Kodaik. The Asobo one afaik is an EX so it has waaaay more power than the BS Caravan which is basically the original 208B with just 675hp. So the Asobo is def easy to fly even at high weight because of its brutal power (>800hp) over the normal BS Caravan. On the other hand I find the Caravan itself quite an easy and forgiving plane to fly. In contrast the Kodiak is a 750hp STOL beast with quite less mtow than the Caravan. Comparing the BS Caravan and the SWS Kodiak is a bit like apples and peaches imho. And yes I find the Kodiak much more handful to fly than the Caravan. On the other hand I go fully loaded into PNG fields where I never even think about taking the Caravan into (at least far away from fully loaded). For me both have quite some different scenario to use in. For example I'm in an online tour atm flying over the hump. Just out of curiosity I have done quite some of the legs both in Kodiak and Caravan. And I can assure you the flights in the Caravan were a real Pita as she doesn't like the heights at load 😄 The Kodiak is def feeling a lot better up there. And the flight model of the 2024 Kodiak is a lot smoother on ground and in the air than the 2020 model. Both had issues on initial release btw with the Caravan ITT limited by error so she was actually not performing very well especially at higher altitude. That was fixed in the new 1.1 update out already. The Kodiak will get an update prob next week to fix some minor issues encoutnered so far. Both are very good products but both also have their shortcomings atm. So time will tell which will have its nose in front me think. SWS delivers a full native package where the BS Caravan is native but not 2024 modular design and following the old 2020 project structure and therefore will lead to the known problems in the variant livery selection with 3rd party liveries. To add pax to the Caravan you have actually to install a mod from .to otherwise you fly empty. Cargo is shown but very limited box style. Cargo pod stays empty. The Kodiak supports full native pax with changing cargo type in the different variants. Nice feature and real a pita in positive way as known from the real world Caravan is the out of balance tanks of the BS Caravan. So expect some tank switching on the fly. Nav suite wise the Caravan comes classic with the usual suspects of addons supported, the Kodiak with an extended 1000xi with a lot of customisation. Another point to fly them both 😉 So in the end me think both are a very good renditions and deserve to be in the fleet and I don't see any of the two failing even in its current state. Cheers T.

Official Aerosoft-Toliss A340 trailer and livestreams of it
Yeah sure. Repositioning flights are a valid example but even then they will not just fuel it up more than needed or even to max fuel like Christopher stated as it utterly makes no sense. You will only take the fuel needed (including, reserves, ballast and stuff if applicable) Cheers T.

Official Aerosoft-Toliss A340 trailer and livestreams of it
That absolut makes no sense in a normal usual scenario at all but even if you would insist to do, check some simple math 😉 MTOW 380T OEW 174T max Fuel 155.5T max landing weight 265T

Official Aerosoft-Toliss A340 trailer and livestreams of it
Oh yes you are right. Just found a FAQ entry on AS discord stating that also. Actually I trust Toliss a lot more on their reputation than PMDG but thats highly subjective for sure 😄As we are talking about a high level in general in this league of devs. Most will end in personal preference in this cases. Cheers T.

Official Aerosoft-Toliss A340 trailer and livestreams of it
In the end it really doesn't matter a lot if its only compatible or native as Toliss is doing the essential stuff outside of the sim anyway (so the benefit of newer flight/ground model related physics is neglectable) and it usually just shows that its a long running project started way back in 2020 times. This way they can still feed both worlds and most will be happy... Happy flying! Cheers T.

Official Aerosoft-Toliss A340 trailer and livestreams of it
I heard different and thats a reason I will def not get it now (beside that I've flown the Toliss 346 in XP a lot so no urgent itch to get it). If you own it can you please check where the wasm files reside for the 346? Afaik even on official feedback on AS discord they reside within the wasm2020 folder and that shows clearly its just a compatible plane but not native. Just jump to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\" and check please... Cheers T.

Why SimBrief AND Navigraph ... clunky interaction?
Sure. I assume you are using the Navigraph charts app and logged in on the Ipad. On the flights menu you should have the two options "+ new flight" and "Import flight". Hit import flight and you will get the option to import from simbrief. That will actually give you a list of flights avail from your simbrief history.

...and I hope all of you have played the textadventure already?

Why SimBrief AND Navigraph ... clunky interaction?
Exactly like Peter said. I'm using Navigraph on an old Ipad for tracking, too. But the leading planner in my case is also simbrief. Plan in simbrief and then you can just import in Navigraph from simbrief without further steps needed. In addition there are still usecases like XP, LNM, Active Sky etc. where its easier to use simbrief for the planning and export plans via downloader to have it where needed. Cheers T.

MSFS 2024 overtakes MSFS 2020 in player numbers on SteamDB
At least the serious devs do... I don't think mscenery even knows what navigraph is 😄

MSFS 2024 overtakes MSFS 2020 in player numbers on SteamDB
Same issue. Navigraph is another nice example of an in our peer group renowned survey but with a relatively small sample size that is actually reflecting a lot of us hardcore users but not the rest of users. And Steam Chart will give you a general picture of PC market of Steam users only. They may again have different preferences than non Steam Users. I use steam too, but not for MSFS. And MSFS on steam is just approx a one digit percentage of all MSFS users that prob have again other preferences than general users. As long as MS is keeping the overall usage and distribution numbers on platforms secret we can only speculate. Steam Charts may be close to real usage but don't have to be.

MSFS 2024 overtakes MSFS 2020 in player numbers on SteamDB
The interesting question is actually, is the Steam Charts in any way transferable to the overall image of 20 vs 24 usage? I doubt so. In my personal field of view there is a steam usage of roughly 5-10 percent of the users and a 2024 usage of 90% with approx 10% interested in the PMDG 737 at all. The part with the 737 is for sure subjective. But the question about the overall numbers stays. So in the end its just another don't trust a statistic that a) we have result for a sample size but NO clue about the population and b) you did not fake on your own 😉

iniBuilds A340 Airliner V1.0.5 Update
Weird. Me on latest also for both. There must be something triggering it. I usually do hops around 500 to 1000nm... Cheers T.

iniBuilds A340 Airliner V1.0.5 Update
...and while the non marketplace people keep waiting prob indefinitely I will be flying happily month over month in the meantime... but fun aside I'm quite happy now with the 340. Winwing Macdoo problems seem to be resolved and I even got no hanging/freezing mcdu display for long now. No bigger issues anymore. In all of my flights I had only one wasm crash so far. Nice plane. Still can't compete with the Fenix smaller busses but solid. Def a keeper in my active fleet. And with some more winwing hardware with the agp and ecam on the preorder it will get more immersive soon 🤪 Keep the blue up! Cheers T.

BlackBox BN2 Islander
Sadly even the "quick preflight" binding will only get rid of normal covers and chocks. So atm without the tablet in 2024 there is only the way to get the gust locks of manually. In general me think the 2024 is a typical quite ok and solid bbs release but indeed there is a a bit of decline in features that would be useful and no increase in visual and 3d model quality. Its def not even close to what we expect in 2024 nowadays. And some other issues as well like the fuel selectors by default in off position but internally system wise on. So you have to touch them at least once to get them working properly. Plus the G1000 version even the left screen stays off with bat on and relying on avionics master. Thats def not like it supposed to be also. But hey at least an Islander 😉 Cheers T.

I Love Fenix But the BFU have made landings impossible
Yap its company specific. But the fuel savings are depending on a lot of factors and not really measurable to one exact number. And I've seen some rw pilots adding around 5 kts to the approach speed to get the nose down again as conf 3 leading to higher pitch. So always watch the runway length. But yes, more companies actually trying to make it standard in their SOPs.

Resetting the Fenix MCDU flight plan having made an error
And another way even documented by Fenix is to go back to "MCDU MENU" hit "FMGC" and hit the "SECOND NAV DATA BASE"... Then you can go back to INIT page and it will be empty/reset. Cheers T.

FSR500 landing gear.
Have you checked the EFB for damage? On the FSR500 like in real world on the M500 you should never interfere with the gear extend and raise process. If you by mistake reset the gear handle while the gear is in process you will damage the gear and it will stay in its position. Cheers T.

iniBuilds shares A340 deep dive video
Def agree... Having the Winwing FCU+EFIS and the MCDU makes it so more immersive to fly a Bus of that period. And that's def the point if INI doesn't start to support the MCDU properly it will be a clear pass! And I don't need simappro support, I would be perfectly happy to use mobiflight but its still on INI to support the basics like all other named devs already do. Cheers T.

iniBuilds shares A340 deep dive video
Then they seem not to affect me or a lot others. As I have no drawback I don't need to search for them. But that's the good thing we have options and even if it is to wait two months to get it on their own store. And lets be honest, two months for an ini plane is still not enough time to fix the initial problems usually 😉 Cheers T.

iniBuilds shares A340 deep dive video
All this marketplace burned statements are quite interesting. Especially the myth that it takes months or ages to get updates. What most people still not get is that the problems for delays are mostly not on Masobo side but on dev side. If you have setup your marketplace process correctly you can get a fix out on the next day if you follow the submission dates. Otherwise if you miss the submission window max four days to get your update out. Sure there were hiccups especially in the beginning but that is mostly issues of the past. And Ini stated it will be marketplace only for the first months and then avail via their store also (even with transfer of license if I heard correctly). A showstopper for me actually would be performance AND no proper Winwing MCDU support. I read on their discord some vague statements that its worked one but promises in this regard have been made and not matched by ini before. And one of the twitch streams showed a black winwing mcdu. We'll have to wait for first real good reviews to see what the A340 can hold up or not. Until now I'm happily flying Toliss A340 and def keeping an eye on the -600 offering coming from them to MSFS in near future. Cheers T.

Boris Audio Pack for PMDG 777 Coming in October!
...so with this nice proper sounds if they now just fix the fbw then the plane would get quite good 😄 Cheers T.
