  • Thanks MS/Asobo for yet another free update, unrequested, just a gift I did nothing to deserve.  Cheers and thanks, keep up the awesome work!

I don't get it...

Then think a bit about what it takes to make a world update and it is very easy to understand why major parts of the world have not getting any updates and likely may never get any.

Weather, flying infrastructure, forms of government are all factors.

I for one for example expect a second France and Benelux world update before we ever get a single African World Update.

And just in case, as I'm sure some of you still have difficulties to remember this for the 20th time:

You have to "Purchase" a World Update in the Marketplace for it to become active in your sim. Even in MSFS24.

That's why it's called an update. A part of the world already covered has been updated.

More UK updates please.

Whatever you say my man... you do aware that even the first Japan WU was still called an UPDATE.

Will it break any pre-existing airport or landmark?

Cheers, Ed

Do world updates usually do that?

Yes, I do aware. And it's now been updated. Where did you want them to update instead?

How about Greece, any country in Africa or any other country in Asia other than Japan...

It all depends on the data they can easily  get and if there is no data, there is a long process on MS hiring their own aerial survey teams to do the work and thats if they can get the permission from the governments of said countries.

Clearly Japan was quite an easy update for them to do as they've done it before but now even an expanded coverage and it's was also released at Japan's game week.

Even when they do get the data, it takes months of work.

Maybe because World Update Laos or World Update Equatorial Guinea doesn't sound very appealing. Greece could work. Greece and Turkey together would be better. Personally I think India is way overdue, but I suppose they have to go where the best available data is.
