MSFS will have a good modern Boeing & Airbus within 2 years

There's also the future iniBuilds A380.. hopefully they will learn and build on their A350 experience. That said, FBW is doing such a great job on its A380 I doubt I'll need anything else.

  • Hate to break it you, but the default 787 and 330 are definitely of "decent" (medium) fidelity at the very least and more than good for default aircraft. And the payware ini 350.. well, a lot of peopl

A 717 done by PMDG would be a welcome surprise.  TFDi seems to have their hands full with the MD-11 and I can't see them moving on from it at all.

Isn't the 717 still MDD avionics...?

Can we get a good supersonic passenger Jet (Concorde) perhaps? We have enough A32's and 73's already.

FSLabs will bring their Concorde to MSFS. They just have other higher priority projects to work on at the moment.

@abrams_tank probably should change the title to "every" rather than "a" 👍

Unfortunately, I can't, there is a character limit to the title 😢. I tried to fit "every" in the title though.

With the announcement by Aerosoft/Toliss of the A340, and the iniBuilds announcement of the A340 as well, I realized that within 2 years, MSFS will have a decent fidelity version of every modern Boeing and Airbus airliner.  Maybe it won't have all the variants, but I think within 2 years, every modern Boeing and Airbus will be represented in the simulator, at a decent fidelity.  And by decent fidelity, I am referring to at least iniBuilds/FBW fidelity, or above:

Airbus:

A220 - upcoming from Synaptic Simulations
A319 - Fenix
A320 - Fenix, FBW, iniBuilds
A321 - Fenix, FSLabs, iniBuilds
A330 - iniBuilds
A340 - upcoming from Aerosoft/Toliss, upcoming from iniBuilds
A350 - iniBuilds
A380  - FBW, upcoming from iniBuilds

Boeing:

737 - PMDG, iFly
747 - upcoming from PMDG
757 - upcoming from Bluebird Simulations
767- upcoming from Bluebird Simulations
777 - PMDG
787- upcoming from Bluebird Simulations, Working Title & Horizon Simulations(?)

The only one that may be debatable for "decent fidelity" is the 787, since that is mostly based on Working Title's work. If you think the Horizon Simulations mod of the Working Title 787 is of "decent fidelity," then the 787 is included in that list. If you don't think it is, then the Bluebird Simulations 787 will probably be at least iniBuilds fidelity or above, but it's probably more than 2 years off.

And if you look at the Airbus & Boeing list above, there isn't much up for grabs anymore, except specific variants.  The only one that is up for grabs, if you think Working Title & Horizon Simulations is not "decent fidelity," is the 787.  This means there is time for another competitor to tackle the 787, if Bluebird Simulations is at least 2 years away from the 787.  At Bluebird Simulation's pace of development and because the 767 is their next priority after the 757, it could even be 4 years until they realistically release the 787, so this gives ample time for another competitor to do a high fidelity 787 before Bluebird does.

Anyways, I think we have come a long way since MSFS 2020 was released 5 years ago.  I never imagined the day for MSFS where we would have a  decent fidelity version of every Boeing and Airbus modern airliner, but we are approaching that day soon!

I hate to break it to you, but the hs 787 isn't really that good, neither is the inibuilds 330, 320 neo and also multiple examples of people having issues with the 350.

Yes they do by saturating the Airbus A320 market. Good priority I guess.

And the payware ini 350.. well, a lot of people also seem to quite like it and don't have the serious issues that others do. One has to draw their own conclusions on whether it's worth the price.

It is.  I think I just want it a bit more indepth than what TFDi is offering right now.

I'd love a Fenix 717, but that's just dreaming.

I want a good quality 787 😀

only superficial.

Boeing engineers re-wired the whole avionics architecture beneath.
Gone was the MDD point to point architecture with the old Arinc 429 bus, and instead used the Arinc 629/multi transmitter data bus, which was used in the B777 a few years earlier.

In essence multitple systems communicate on the same bus (think of it like Microsoft biztalk, but in an airplane-setting), this leads to less wiring, easier fault detection and more importantly, it offers (semi)automatic role reassignment without needing hardwired alternate (point-to-point) paths.

TLDR: looks like MD-11, has the DNA of the B777

Isnt't Aerosoft also doing the A330Neo?

Not that I expect much of the first version, after that disaster of the A330Ceo, but from what I heard this will also become part of the Toliss cooperation at a later stage.

And then it has the potential to become a very decent NEO.

I'm thinking you will be calling these "study level"?

Nothing I may point out is something that ones studies to enjoy MSFS2024.

These products on MSFS2024 are no where near real life.

These aircraft are strictly for entertainment purposes.

I'm actually not sure if you are making an assumption, statement or just relaying to all of us what is already pretty obvious. As your 2 year window comes and goes we all might be moving on to MSFS2028 or something similar.
