March 24, 20251 yr I alternate between BATC and FSHUD, and when BATC started gaining more features I also started using it more often than FSHUD because FSHUD became "bland and boring", has less options to interact with ATC agents, although there's something about it's interface I really like, and for instance I also like the way it uses FSLTL Injector to inject it's traffic - sometimes looks better than BATC's built-in injector. Then there's Say Intentions, which I tried for a while some weeks ago, using their 24hr free full trial, and then the free 2 use version. It looks really really good !!! My only problem with Say Intentions is exactly the same I have IRL - I don't know two things after 45 years flying for real: To talk to ATC, and to properly twist for storing the glider tug cable 🤣 For years I have been wanting to find an ATC robot that would put me talking so "freely" as Say intentions already allows for, and I guess BATC too, and VATSIM or IVAO were never options for me because I never found the proper slots at home to play it. So... They're all great, they're all bland (Say Intentions doesn't yet inject traffic that it controls, or control injected traffic), they're all getting better each week, BATC and FSHUD are rather acce$$ible, Say Intentions is expensive, but I believe is probably worth the try, and, above all, MSFS 2024 is so so so gorgeous and great to use that I'm happy, almost as happy as @Greazer with Flight Simulation 😉 Edited March 24, 20251 yr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

But that isn't the reasons why every topic compares them in that way for sure. 🙂 But....comparing products at the same price range or at the same product selling point, here ATC, is good....and yes....now I am aware that the price is a huge difference. Thanks for pointing that here. Regards, Marcus P.
March 24, 20251 yr Well thank God for that..... it had been at least 8 hours since some bloke started a new thread telling us all he wasn't happy with BATC.... I was beginning to worry that perhaps there might be an AVSIM member out there who wasn't aware and needed to be advised. Clearly there wasn't enough room in any of those threads a new one had to be started. I'll now stand by as the exact comments that have been yelled back and forth by people about Say Intentions and BATC get repeated adnauseum in this thread too... I'll tell you what tho, if old mate Brian from Say Intentions is indeed running another one of his targeted campaigns to raise awareness of his product (and perhaps put down the other one) he's kicked it out of the park this time! I'm fully expecting my 83 year old mother to call me this week asking if she should invest in this Say Intentions thingamagig. March 24, 20251 yr And you had to open yet another thread about this to bash BATC? Why not use one of the half a dozen or so others have already opened in the last 48hrs to express your opinion. Or do you have to post proof that you started the thread to win in SI's "Bash BATC week" competition? Nothing to see here, totally normal that we suddenly have endless threads all just criticising BATC... Funny as well this happens days after they won the Flight Sim Awards. This must have really upset the folks at SI to now switch tactics from spamming positive reviews about SI to review bombing the competition. For what it's worth, I really enjoy BATC!

There are screenshots from the SI Discord where they ran competitions and offered prizes for people posting positive reviews and sending back proof of their praise. Someone from the SI team even replied to a thread here saying something along the lines of "we realise what we did was wrong and they would change their approach". SI also sent themselves a celebratory cake from the BATC devs and posted a video about it on Youtube. Only problem is that the BATC guys said they never did such a thing. SI have proven over and over that they can't be trusted and that they are willing to do anything to aggressively push their product. The only thing that's "shameless" here is the behaviour of SI. March 24, 20251 yr The reddit conversation makes a good read, a little less polite than here though! Here's that bizarre video, comments turned off of course! Why didn't they just remove it? Russell Gough SE London
March 24, 20251 yr Ok, tbh, maybe I miss some sub message cause I'm not native speaker. But can't see anything wrong. I often see this response, but it isn't relevant when talking about BATC. People are not complaining about realistic ATC which should be predictable, they are complaining the program is 'boring/scripted' in the way it delivers the ATC service. I used it for a week or so, but when every single flight, all over the world, is cleared to half your cruise level after take off, it feels 'boring/scripted'. March 24, 20251 yr To be fair to the OP, he’s an AVSIM regular and not someone I’d suspect of being a plant. We had the same things when 24 launched with people creating threads to air their grievances and not using existing threads. This must be BATC”s turn.
