Where are the MS2024 Addons?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Is there a list of third party addons which are 100% ready for MSFS2024 Or is every developer trying to figure out on what to do with the alpha state MSFS2024 is in.

Debating should I just reinstall MSFS2020 and revisit MS2024 in August of this year?  I have zero time to do hacks, mods and stuff.  I was in a different situation during the P3D/FSX era...I had the time to do it then.

So far Black Square, A2A, PMDG are not ready? is COWS DA-42 ready?  I am not trying to bash anything, just looking for a list of addons or devs who are MS2024 ready? that is all.

Thanks

I'm sure there being worked on. It just takes time and alot of developers are waiting for a stable version of 2024. But like to said 2020 is always an option.

MSFS 2024, WIN11 Pro x64

A2A and the COWS DA42 are fully compatible and run great in 2024. the Fenix birds also operate flawlessly for me. The Maddog and the Just Flight aircraft are also fully 2024 compatible. I have no idea what is taking Blacksquare so long, and to be honest I have become a little disappointed. The Dukes work pretty much perfectly with no tweaking, just copy the folder over; but the others all need some work. PMDG have struggled, as they seem to have since 2020 was released, but apparently the DC6 and the 777s are close to release for 2024; they seem to be holding off on the NGs to introduce a paid upgrade sometime down the line.

MSFS 2024;  Fenix A320, 319, 321;  PMDG 772, 773;  A2A Comanche;  Blacksquare Piston Duke,  FSLTL,  BATC

I can't copy the folder as I do not have MSFS2020 installed right now.  I have to install that (man, that will take some time) and then install them in MSFS2020 and copy the addons into MSFS2024....sigh.

I just checked orbx direct and it shows DA42 can be installed in MSFS2024...so I will go with that for now.  But I really want A2A, Black Square MS2024 Installer.  I will miss the steam gauge addons as they will not be MS2024 compatible.

Make a fake installation of MSFS2020 (guides you find inline), install those MSFS2020 addons, move them over (or use Addonlinker) and good to go. Takes maybe 5mins.

Greetings, Chris

The A2A Comanche CAN be directly installed into MSFS2024, as it is FULLY compatible.  You do NOT need to NOR should you just copy it from MSFS2020.

More like waiting for Asobo and an updated SDK.  Have noted the tail-off of new material arriving commercially and at TO.

Shame is in order for Asobo. Now four months since release. The community is NOT all xBox users!  And serious flight simulation enthusiasts and developers are getting numb from the cold!

BSQ has decided to replace the Analog gauge versions of the Bonanza, King Air, Baron etc by complete 2024 versions and that is indeed going to take a while.

In the meantime, you can fly the 2020 versions in 2024, if you are willing to accept the risk of Asobo pulling the rug out from under you at some point.. since this is not "supported".  🫢

With all the true respect due to you, Bert, and others. At the altitudes at which I fly most often, and the scenery detail from those altitudes.  And with the highly developed 2020 aircraft models and related mods, and the 2020 developed addon sceneries (which admittedly do mostly work in 2024), today finds me flying now almost exclusively in MSFS 2020.

Always paying attention here and elsewhere, with hope and expectations. So far have not witnessed what should carry me forward.  Feels like more of the same as for the months back then following the 2020 launch.  2024 is no doubt promising, but so far the promise is not fulfilled.

Another concern would appear to be the "influence" exerted on 3rd parties to channel through the Marketplace.  For those of us who wish to modify for greater realism, the Marketplace is not our friend.

Another reason developers are being slow was because of the misstatement from Asobo about everything made for 2020 will work in 2024. Now they have to almost totally rebuild using an unstable 2024 SDK. Once Asobo stabilizes that more developers will start releasing for 2024.

What I do not understand is if the SKD is so incomplete or unstable, how have Fenix, COWS, A2A, Leonardo, iniBuilds, all able to release their aircraft, in the case of Fenix and A2A within a couple of weeks of release. It is a sincere question.

I always wondered if MS2024 is built over / improvements MS2020, then one would build on top of the SDK and not scratch from start.  Who knows what Asobo is thinking...from what I can tell from the menus and what not, it is 100% catered to Xbox Users (pc industry be screwed)

Erm, SU2 is about to be released, your five months out of date.

CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D  RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090
Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

The A2A is compatible, but if you bought it from the Marketplace like I did then you can't update it to the latest fully compatible version, which is very annoying. And it's not just the case for A2A, many add ons are like this if you bought through the marketplace.

Tom Wright, UK PPL(A) SEP + Night Rating + IMC/IR(R)

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM | 16GB RTX 4080 Super | 2x 2TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 | Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Sidestick + Quadrant | Logitech G Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals | WinCTRL Airbus FCU + EFIS + MCDU

if you are looking for aircraft then I suggest getting FSReborn 500, It is quite a joy to fly, also Flysimware's C414AW latest version works just fine, both are 100% compatible with 2024, Black Square's Turbine Duke also works without any issues.
