The astonishing scale of the universe.

Space is big.  You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-boggling big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space. - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

And this is only the part we can see, it seems likely it is infinite and goes back infinitely in time.

Our best measurements tell us the universe is flat and thus possibly infinite. But that's our "best" measurements though. Could be that the universe is curved and not infinite but we don't have the ability to measure such a slight curve. So we don't really know, but we do know that there's lots more beyond the observable universe.

I posted that the other day, in the other thread. Good old Douglas Adams. 😁

Compared to infinity and the creator, the universe as we know it so far, may seem tiny and unimpressive.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Infinity is just human concept. eg.  1.1, 1.01, 1.001, 1.0001 ... etc to infinity.  So, if it can go on forever, why is there a number 2??

Win 11 Pro, MSFS Deluxe, Quest 2.
