  1. I'm guessing fake video cards are not being sold by the major retailers like New Egg, but are on eBay or sold by individuals and for prices that are well below retail.
  2. This incident happened several years ago, it is not AI generated, it was real. Also, look at the flexing of the pontoons and their supports, that was one hard landing.
  3. True, EV's do weigh a lot, even more than comparable internal combustion engine vehicles. Lighter weight motors combined with batteries that are lighter in weight, faster to recharge, and more durable will make EV's a more viable option. Less weight would also mean less drain on the batteries while driving, the result should be a longer range between recharging. Definitely making EV's a more viable option!
  4. Aviation is not 100% safe for anyone, but it is still much safer than any other mode of transportation.
  5. In other words, your shed has become its own unique ecosystem.
  6. Welcome to Avsim! We do have an X-Plane forum, I would suggest you post your question there.
  7. Welcome to Avsim!
  8. A machine wins a marathon... yep, at some point we will all be replaced by the machines.
  9. I have no explanation. There are things about which we simply do not understand and have little or no real knowledge.

I dunno. I'd consider an unreliable weapon to be a dangerous weapon.
  11. I sure do not miss all those tweaks that became necessary with the disc versions of FSX.

Solar powered cat! Although it reduces power production for you, the cat gets a good recharging. 🤣
  13. So did the AI programming fix 167 vulnerabilities and introduce an additional 334?
  14. "This is why you still fly RJ." Ouch! 🤣
  15. Artificial intelligence, it is always artificial, but not always intelligent.
  16. I think all of these tweaks became unnecessary with the Steam Edition of FSX.
  17. So the sim USN or USAF did not intercept you, sim escort you out of the area, and give you a sim phone number to call when you sim landed? 🤣
  18. Well done! I did not anticipate the story ending in that fashion.

    AI, for certain, but funny!
  20. Takeoffs are optional, landings are not. There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there are not old bold pilots. There is no such thing as gravity, the earth just sucks.
  21. I don't know what is up there, but I do recall an incident that I witnessed in the mid-1980's. A neighborhood friend and I were interested in astronomy, so on clear nights we would break out out binoculars and telescopes and observed the night sky. One night, we both saw something moving across the sky from north to south. We both thought it was a satellite, at least until it made a 90 degree turn to the west. It was not an arcing turn either, it was an impossibly sharp turn. There was no possibly way for a man-made craft of that time to make an instantaneous 90 degree turn.
  22. Beautiful launch! They are on their way to the moon.
  23. Well, we will see if they light this candle or not.

Maybe, but it could also be this. Which might be a bad idea!
