Hi Maarten, I am trying to filter aircraft so that all Microsoft aircraft do not show up in the tiles option. I've tried filtering by manufacturer and by ratings with Microsoft aircraft having no stars. It works when I enter and apply filters, but when I re-enter the program, the filters no longer apply and I have to filter them again. Is there some way I can permanently filter out Microsoft aircraft from the tiles option? Regards, Gerry

Starting p3d manually results in the normal 'non-red/blue/purple' view, so it's not a nVidia setting or something in the p3d config, I have no idea how to turn it off other than not using SLX :( Thanks in advance Nikki

Hi Maarten, every time i start SLX it detects new aircrafts again which are stored at a none-standard location. The logfile says SLX is reading simobjects.cfg twice: Reading aircraft list from C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\simobjects.cfg Reading aircraft list from C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\simobjects.cfg New aircraft found: d:\flusi\p3dv3 addons\mytraffic\aircraft\a10mx\aircraft.cfg New aircraft found: d:\flusi\p3dv3 addons\mytraffic\aircraft\a300mx\aircraft.cfg ... Hi all, I have only just started using SimlauncherX and have had a few problems with it disconnecting from SimConnect although today after the latest update it worked very well, so all good so far. So after my first real flight today where SimlauncherX stayed connected all the time, I noticed on landing at my destination that some of my AI traffic didn't appear on the airport diagram. I have a combination of default AI GA aircraft which do show up and Commercial AI from World of AI, which do not show. Hi Maarten, i tried to locate the Robinson helicopter, which is part of P3Dv3. It isn't listed in SLX. So i had a look into the Robinson-folder and saw not an aircraft.cfg, but a sim.cfg. I copied it to aircraft.cfg and then SLX showed me the Robinson. SLX should also search for such files. Cheers, Walter.

Ever since the version that switched the database back end to SQLite clicking on the 'airports' tab has caused SLX to hang, at first I thought it might be a AV issue, but even with AV disabled it freezes. Any ideas? (prepare3d 2.5, with default scenery config) Nikki.

Hi Maarten, SLX sends only the pathname to the model to ModelConverterX. It shold send the name of an .mdl file. Cheers, Walter.

Hi Maarten, i had problems when starting SLX with new P3Dv3: When launching SLX i got a messagebox, that said one specific a/c could not be found (that was right). Then i tried to perform the rebuild of the a/c database. It stopped with messagebox: No aircraft found, deleted the database and exited. So i copied a backup of the database back and tried to find the error with Sysinternals Process Monitor. I saw, you tried to open the simobjects.cfg file from the AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 folder. But that file exist in ProgramData folder. As a workaround i created a symlink to the right filepath and everything worked. Cheers, Walter.

Hi Maarten, after updating to version 3.0.5750.42265 everything has been fine. Then i made changes to my sceneries and performed a "Rebuild All". It ended with an error-msg. After restarting SLX it tells me it could not find any airport and close. So i reinstalled an older SLX version and made a rebuild. Everything O.K. again. Then i did the update to the latest SLX. Everything was alright. I monitored the documents\SimlauncherX folder and did a rebuild again. The file SimLauncherX.Prepar3D.sdf has been deleted and not created new. The rebuild again stopped with an error. In the logfile i saw the following lines: 20150930154151 Unable to create or access P…

How can I make UK2000 airports to appaer with its own symbol colour on the map. Like ORBX or Aerosoft. I did like described (not very clear to me) but with no success so far. I remember when using Sim Launcher some time ago it was easy to do. Now with current version (3.0x) it seems to be broken.

Hi Maarten, There is a site called Return to Misty Moorings that creates wilderness scenery and flight plans that allow you to fly from one wilderness cabin to another using float planes. The flight plans do not use departure or destination airports. Where is the graphics setting file for the Default P3D Profile? SLX keeps asking for it each time its open. Clicking on the X does not stop it.Thanks for you help.

This is a strange one, since upgrading to the latest version I have a problem with the filter o airports. As soon as I have put in the first letter the box re-sets and all airports are lost in the view. I have tried reset from the system top let, and this happens both on the local version and the networked version. I use Windows 8.1 with P3d 2.5, I guess it must be something I've done as no one else is talking about this issue. IS there anything you suggest I look at ? Thanks for a brilliant piece of software. I have three profiles setup for IFR normal, IFR light and VFR (heavy scenery). I would like to be able to setup my flight from Launcher but I seem to have problems figure out how. I would like to be able to pick the scenery to load (preferably from a group of scenery based on region ---- UK, Europe, Canada, USA, etc.), then pick my Aircraft, Livery and starting location at the airport. Is this possible and if so how ? thanks.

Hi Maarten, Firstly, thanks for producing such a fine product! I have a couple of issues which I hope can be resolved. I notice when I launch FSX thru the "Fly Now" button, FSX takes ages to load up (around 2 mins approx) If I launch FSX from its default icon, it loads in around 30 seconds. When it does finally load FSX (via the "Fly Now" button) FSX is running in the taskbar, but its no where to be seen on any of my four monitors. I also notice that if I go to the forum button within SLX, no browser window opens up or if a window is embedded in SLX nothing shows up.. Hello Maarten - I have just downloaded your program and I am excited to try it but I am having a frustrating time trying to launch the program. Every time I start the program it starts but the screen loads up off the desktop as if I have a second monitor, but I do NOT have a second monitor! I have a spare monitor I just installed temporarily and moved the SimlauncherX startup screen to my main monitor but no matter what I do the startup screen always loads up in the area of no desktop. Hi Im hoping you can help me with a problem im having, I have been using the SimLaucherX for a few months now and its been amazing, really love it, but after installing the new update, when lauching into FSX and begining to taxi ect, all the aircraft pull to the right,regardless of developer, it may have nothing to with SimLaucherX of course, but I thought it worth mentioning as this was only thing i have added to the FSX before it started happening... I have tried all avenues,reinstalling SLX, recalibrating the controller, turing off realism settings, resetting the flight controls. Hi Maarten, I've been using SLX with P3Dv2.5 for a few weeks now but am having trouble getting Instant Scenery 3 to work with it. Groeten Maarten! I have an interesting problem for you! When I launch the Carenado Phenom using SimLauncherX the primary (center) MFD does not/cannot activate. When I press the ENT or rightmost buttons the MFD flashes momentarily, but then it reverts to the start up, battery-on state. This is the case whether in the VC or when then the 2D option is displayed. However, if I select the Phenom whilst P3D v2.5 is already running, the MFD activates as expected. Hi Maarten, Am learning how to make profiles. But the scenery icon is greyed out. The correct path is in the profile I can open scenery config from tools. Am trying to construct it as I read the manual. SL is networked using win7. Thanks.

Dear SLX users, The new version that includes the client-server functionality can be downloaded now (you should be notified when you start SLX). If you are running SLX on a remote client, make sure that you run the SlxServer application on the server. In SlxServer you have to set the IP-Address and port number and in SimLauncherX on the client you have to set the IP-address of the server and the SlxServer port number (in addition to the SimConnect port number). SlxServer indicates the status of the connection to SimLauncher at the bottom of the window and SimLauncherX indicates the status of the connection to SlxServer at the top right of the main window, next…

Hi Maarten, Just a few hours ago I updated SLX. When I went into the airport tab and selected an airport, I clicked on the Skyvector button to obtain a chart but nothing happened. None of the other buttons work. Do I need to do something else to activate these buttons? Regards, Gerry
