Hi Maarten, till the last few SLX-versions i was able to set the "RunAsInvoker" flag with Application Compatibility Toolkit to run SLX in normal user context. if i start SLX now, i get a message box "You need to use an account with administrator rights...". We had discussed that in the past and i understand your arguments for running SLX as admin. But it would be nice if you allow to set "RunAsInvoker" at least. Cheers, Walter.

Hi Maarten I just performed (on FSX) a flight between EGKK and EHAM and I see that in SimLauncherX that there is no data regarding EHAM (no runways, ni ILS) I used version SimLauncherX_5.8.6119.37728 and recreated the complete database before with all my sceneries in scenery.cfg The navdats cycle in SimLauncherX is the one from Navigraph 1610 I just checked with version SimLauncherX_5.8.6121.229 and same. I checked with P3D profile and same behaviour. An idea about this strange situation? Thanks. Patrice.

I have the latest ver.38961. I have found that the auto launch feature no longer works. The latest ver. that works is .31161. In the latest vers. the edit launch entry window no longer provides a auto start window. This is where I set my addons to start before or after the sim. I have pp3d 3 I have gone back to ver.31161 Have I done something wrong or missed a setting? Thanks in advance.

I am using the latest version of SLX and when I go into my profile to specify a graphics file it doesn't save it upon reload of SLX. When I restart it's no longer there. It also is not adding those settings into the sim when I launch. The latest used graphics settings are in the sim and I have to change the file manually using the in sim menu system. Brandon

Hi all, First of all let me say - many thanks for this excellent freeware tool. Unfortunately, I have the issue that when I launch a P3D v3 flight using SLX, once P3D is loaded the window is nowhere to be seen. So I see the splash screen, followed by the loading bar and then POOF its gone. P3D however continues to run in taskmanager and SLX reports itself to be connected, the only way to kill it is by ending prepar3d.exe. If I start P3D directly then my default scenario is loaded immediately (no scenario setup screen anymore), which is a behavior changed by SLX that I do not want, how can I reverse this? Hi Maarten, i selected a flightplan with german characters in filename: 'EGKK - LEPA f. CLS Übungsflug.pln'. The message line in P3D looks like this: and nothing happens. When i rename the pln file into a name without german chars everything works like aspected. Cheers, Walter.

Hi Maarten, i lately installed the Majestic Dash 8Q400 into the standard P3D airplanes folder. In SLX i did a rebuild of the a/c database. If i switch to the a/c tab and select e.g. a C-130 in the standard a/c folder everything is fine, if i select one of the 8Q400, SLX crashes to desktop. I installed ASN and SimLauncherX on a client machine and they both connect and seem to work well over the network. Only problem is that the weather stations don't show up on the map anymore at any zoom level. They used to show when I previously had P3D V2 installed, but ever since I reinstalled with P3D V3 they stations don't appear. I have the Active Sky Data folder pointing to the correct place on the client and weather provider set as Active Sky Next. Tried everything I could think of, including reinstalling both programs, but nothing seems to work. Hopefully just a setting I am missing? The correct weather is being sent from ASN to P3D on the server. Thanks, Steve

In previous version of SLX I didn't have this problem but for several versions now I am seeing it and having to manually load my flight plan within Prepar3D. I use FSBuild2 to create my flight plans and when I pick the plan in SLX it shows all of my waypoints out in the middle of the ocean. Because of this it will not load the plan in the sim. I have to manually load the flight plan. I can't find anything wrong with the flight plan and it works fine when I manually load it but I would much rather load it from within SLX as I have done in the past. Hi guys i recently downloaded the version 4.0 on Avsim now when i start the utility it says You have version: 4.0.5804.24280 The Latest version is 4.1.5891.3361 I click yes to proceed the update and the download progress starts normally but when reaching about 50%- 60% an error pops up saying An error occurred while downloading version 4.1.5891.3361 of SimLauncherX An exception occurred during a WebCLient Request. If tried now couple days but without any luck. Hi Maarten, Love your program. I use it often to move quickly from place to place just by dragging and dropping the user aircraft icon. But if I crash the icon does not update to the current location, the reset location. It stays at the crash site Was that intended? If I drag it from the crash site to somewhere it will then again track. Thanks for all your hard work and this masterpiece program.

I recently installed SiimLauncherX and I had to install it on both the client and server because I wanted to use it in a network situation. This seems a bit redundant, as no other networked application I have requires this. I'm hoping that the server copy can be deleted once the database is built, but didnt' want to without checking first. I undertand why the initial might need this because the server is were the FSX scenery, etc. files exists. However, Plan-G does essentially the same thing and does it across the network without a second copy of Plan-G installed. Hi Maarten, At start, SLX loads NOAA data. I use active sky as weather tool and this is indicated in the p3d profile (directory, weather tool). In the manual, it is indicated to uncheck an option in Tools → Settings → General → Enable Data Exchange with FS Global Real Weather. But i see nowhere to do this. So how to avoid these NOAA data loading and where is this option? Thanks. Patrice
