Let begin with a thanks to Steve's Fixer. I don't know if I messed something up or if there is a simple fix. All UT2 AI's landing lights are too high, like they are floating above the plane about 10-15 feet. DX9 they are fine.

Hello guys, I still some issues with my FPS in heavy clouds. AFAIK my cfg is perfectly tweaked and NI has the good settings too. (I used DX10 How-to-doc to set everything) I use REX 4 for the clouds textures and ASN for the weather. I tried everything. New cloud theme, lowered maximum cloud layers in ASN. I sure forgot something. Has anybody got some extra hints to gain FPS with an overcast sky? Thnks! PS: I now have a GTX 560. Over 2 weeks I get a GTX 680. Hope that helps too! EDIT: In DX9 mode my fps were always fine with an overcast sky!

Hello all I have just downloaded the new fixers for the DX10 fixer but the lights in fsx all have lights around them now even the vpilots traffic models have boxes around the strobe lights. http://i.imgur.com/hZsTxB2.png Boxes around this pushback tug strobe too http://i.imgur.com/3Q9qyOV.png Any fix for this ? After following the "DX10 How To.." document, and making settings in NVidia Inspector, FSX.cgf and then running the setup for the Shader 3.2.3 DX10 fix from Avsim, I have now lost all my text in the menus and drop down menus. Even after uninstalling shaders fix and rebuilding shaders ... No joy! I suspect that it maybe something suggested in the document re. NI or FSX settings. Has anyone else experienced this and know how to resolve? Cheers, Stuart

I had tried DX10 Preview in the past and decided to give it another try with the Shader fixes from Steve on Avsim. However, the DX10 check box in FSX is no longer present. After reading some similar posts here on Avsim, re needing FSX SP2/Acceleration. I decided to do a repair on both FSX and Acceleration. However this hasn't resolved the issue. I edited FSX.cfg to include the line D3D10=1. I then downloaded the latest DirectX from Microsoft. I checked dxdiag programme and it says there are no problems and I am running latest DX11 version. But when starting FSX there is still no DX10 check box! Does anyone know why I have lost this option and how to restore i…

Flying the Airbus Exended- looking at a wing view. I see a shadow line - its not straight but more bumpy.. Any of my settings that can be wrong? CHRIS FROM DENMARK

After learning that running fsx in dx10 mode can offload some of the ram useage to the vram I am wondering if a gpu with alot of vram can cure oom issues. With the pmdg 777, photoscenery and fsdt airports I am right at the vas limit for fsx. Would more vram help free up some vas space for fsx?

Hello, I have recently switched to DX10 and FSX looks awesome but, I realised that in the cockpit, the frames drop considerably(for example with the a2a c172) but as soon as I switch to the outside view, it goes right back up again, even when I have add-on scenery. Has anybody found the same thing? Would the DX10 fixer resolve this? Thanks! Matt

I'm so bummed. After a two year break I'm back at FSX harder than ever, and was all set to install this great new tool I heard about from Steve... DX 10 Fixer, and its no longer available! Are there any alternatives so that we can fix the DX 10 issues his tool took care of? I'm getting incredible frame rates with DX10 but the flashing and other issues are killing me :-( Hoping there's something else out there to do what his tool did. I can't believe we can't get it anymore. Gavin

I have been running FSX/Acceleration with DX-10 via Steve's DX10 Fixer for some time now. Suddenly for no apparent reason when starting FSX the screen that shows the revolving aircraft is black. I tried selecting another aircraft, still black. I then did a repair with the FSX DVD and again with the Acceleration DVD. Still the black screen. Rather than un-installing, just to see what would happen I switched to DX-9 via Steve's DX10 Fixer and everything is back to normal. I will appreciate any help with this as the sim is so much better with DX10.

Hello guys, I came to this forum without any knowledge about DX10 looking for help and after some tweaks and topic discussion with some members of this forum related with DX10 and Windows 8.1 this is the result so far for a series of tweak's and test on FSX! So far my system is running very soft, no crashes, i got really good performance and very good graphics quality. Hi out there, I am using steves dx10 fixer after installing everything like in the How To Do which I found in this forum. I am using 16xQ CSAA with 8x sparse grid supersampling. But I am absolutely not happy with the view of the 3d panel of the dash. It is very shimmering and with DX9 it was much clearer and sharper. Any idea what to do, maybe the Dash is not so good for DX10. Happy for any help. If you need more info, please do not hesitate to ask. Kind Regards Tom

Now that Steve's DX-10 fixer is no longer available for purchase, is there a route that we can follow to switch to DX-10? I have really been thinking of doing it lately, and was quite dismayed to see the fixer disappear.

It seems that the DX10 fixer has been pulled from sale at FSS. Hopefully this is not the end of this great tool.

Finally thinking I'm ready for what's next for my FSX. I've kicked the can around about going to P3D, as I really only use the feel there ERJ-145 and Eaglesoft Citation X but decided to give DirectX10 a shot first. Sad to see what was viewed as the "one stop fix" for DX-10 is no longer on the market, so I'm asking, is there a definitive guide to going to DX-10, or do I just click the button and search out fixes as I discover them? The only other add ons I'm running are FTX-Global, FSDreamTeam Houston, and all the free airports from FTX Global.

Dear All, for some AI models e.g. AIA 747-400, AIG 757-300, all TFS models the Strobe, Beacon and Nav lights are missing during night. During the day all lights are visible. I use DX10 Fixer from Steve in the atual version and shockwave lights for all AI aircraft. All FAIB aircrafts works well during day and night. Any Ideas? Many thanks for answer. Best regards Oliver

Hello, I recently got the Airbus X Extended add-on for FSX but my textures are invisible in DX-9 mode. When I switch on DX-10 preview mode, however, my textures become visible again. I wish I could use Airbus X in DX-9 mode so I can use ENBseries again. Hi guys, Im running a Win 8.1 platform on my desktop and i didnt realize till couple of days ago that all the fixers and tweaks talk about DX10 but what about DX11?? Are those tweak compatible with this version? If not, should i downgrade to another OS to use the correct settings to make my sim look awesome on graphics and performance?
