Guys, I am really so satisfied with this platform that I might consider FC3, but I only have the FC 1.1 installer available for download at the original LOMAC site, and I no longer have the LOMAC disks :-( Does anyone know if I can still install FC3, having just the FC 1.1 installer? Thx for any answer :-)

I have been running DCS for a while now and my impression is that it's hard to learn. One reason might be that things are not like in FSX. Another reason could be that I feel that this sim is more realistic than FSX. I have started with the free Su 25T. I have still not been able to full fill any missions or instant action scenery. Two things stand out in making things difficult. You can't click in the cockpit to do things (like in FSX) but you must rely much more on keyboard assignment. Also since this is a combat simulation there are more things to do and keep track of and on top of that things happen faster than flying a GA plane in FSX for example. What is the best…

starting to support DCS World! I believe IRIS Simulations, for instance, is already on that boat, but I think of many other excellent 3pds! I come from the fsx and xplane "Worlds" so, names like "Leading Edge Simulations" LES ( their excellent models for XPlane), PMDG (why not a KC-135 or other tanker / AWACS), A2A Simulations (any WW2 Warbird already produced for FSX), Flight1 (a military version of the B200), etc..., would be great to see in DCS too! Unlike with Prepar3d, PMDG and probably A2A wouldn't be restricted in terms of EULA since DCS World is a game, and not a professional trainning platform, although it's roots are in the aviation trainning market…

It was just recently that I noticed yet another detail in DCS's FDM that is simply astonishing. Actually, any flightsim worth that designation should model this... On the p51d, which you're assured does not have hydraulic flight controls, set a strong wind from 12 o'clock, on the rw, stopped, and move your trims, for instance your aileron trim. You will see your column moving according to what you set. Is this because the sim poorly simulates triming a control surface by moving the corresponding control (yes this sometimes happens in RL, but that's not the case with a p51d...)? Anyone remeber this one by Microprose. What a blast. I know the folks at DCS have their gameplan worked out. I have the A-10, awesome still learning. While I was learning the A-10, saw a post on the DCS forums of upcoming projects. I then thought of how cool it would be to have an updated F14 Fleet Commander type sim. F18's are cool too, but going a little retro, I think would be a lot of fun. Thanks for allowing my .02. Best, David

DCS: P-51 Status and screens

I have owned this game for about two years and feel overloaded. I can get into it but I just need a bit of help on a getting suggested X45 profile. I am have a tough time finding a profile. I feel I need to do this kinda fist because I dont know enough about the game to determine what the best utilization is for the stick throttle set up (kind of a chicken and egg type of thing). Thanks
