I'm not currently a DCS simmer but I think the A-10 is a pretty cool aircraft (I used to fly one in the old 'A-10 Tank Killer' days if anybody remembers that far back ) and I'd like to have one in FSX to buzz around in. I've read several threads on how the systems fall woefully short on the Iris A-10 compared to the DCS version, but I'm curious how they compare specifically on their flight dynamics/model? If anyone around here has flown both, can you comment? If it's bad, has anyone tweaked the flight model to improve it? Cheers!

English: vFlying Jokers is a Norwegian virtual wing flying DCS series. We are primarily a combat simulator gang that always welcomes new members! Flying Jokers was a Norwegian military acrobatics team that was active in the 60's and 70's. They flew F-86 and F-5 before the end of 1973, they were part of 332nd wing at Rygge. Although they were known for acrobatics, vFlying Jokers primarily focus on the combat part of DCS! Want to fly online in a friendly, humorous atmosphere so check out our website. We will at times, especially on Fence in Monday fly our mission as seriously as we are capable. But we must first of all have fun! Also it is the case, the more the …

Would love to see a large multi-engine plane in this game. Like an Antonov An-70 or Tupolev Tu-95. Is there anything planned or coming out?

I have everything installed correctly, but I cannot for the life of me select an aircraft and sit in it in a multiplayer session. I am greeted with a free roam cam screen with no aircraft, eventhough I select an aircraft in the start up menu. I have the A-10C, select it but it doesn't show up after hitting 'briefing'. Any help?

I've been reading a number of forum posts on DCS and it clearly seems that the physics modeling and systems modeling cannot evn be compared to FSX/P3D. From what I am reading, it seems as though DCS might be placing me at risk of diverting all of my flightsim budget in favour of it as opposed to P3D. Has anyone made a semi-permanent move to this sim away from FSX/P3D. There seems to be alot of great aircraft being developed for it now. I have not actually done any flying in DCS yet, but for those who are familiar with it, what it the most striking difference when flying in DCS compared to FSX/P3D?

After watching Froogle's latest video on DCS World, I decided to download and install it. Being a 9.7GB download It was a good test for my Verizon FIOS speed match upgrade (58Mbs down/58Mbs Up) I got a sustained 7MBS download speed and downloaded the file in 25min flat, Yippee!! Half way though the download I remembered DCS went 64bit only. As my system still runs on 32bit Vista OS (Don't ask ) I assumed it wouldn't work, but I let it finish anyway. To my surprise though it fired up like a charm, and was flying in no time. As my system is only a 3Ghz E6850 C2D system, I was also pleasantly surprised at the performance! It was butter smooth. Not sure why it works on a 32bi…

Too early to say. We would like to model all aircraft systems when the resources are available to do so. The ZA (combat trainer) and C (trainer) versions, that is. http://forums.eagle....ead.php?t=92197 http://forums.eagle....14&postcount=39 http://forums.eagle....74&postcount=53 http://forums.eagle....87&postcount=54 Short of ED owning/testing/flying the real aircraft - the only way is to see if the FM matches available real world data. Received an email that there is a sale as of now, and the FC3 shows as $11.99 yet at check-out is $15.99. Can anyone from DCS or TFC/ED kindly explain this discrepancy. Email sates 70% yet it works out less than that.

If you received an email from DCS regarding their September sale - be advised the advertised prices are not being honored. I went to spend $33 for three items, only to find out they claim a mistake was made in that email. The $33 would have been $49 if I checked my cart out. I know a lot of people will give them a pass, but, I find it unprofessional. If you put out an advertisement, proof it, and if there is an error either honor it or send out a correction email, at least. I am not a frequenter of their forums, and even then it took some searching in service threads to find where they mentioned the email was wrong.

Hello, team, I have flown IL-2, IL-2 BOS, LOMAC, and LOMAC-FC. Now moving to the A-10C. Would like to see an F-16C or -CG from you guys, but I can wait. Based on the use of the A-10C, would it be forseeable to generate an add-on region for, say, Afghanistan and Iraq/Kuwait? Nothing against the people of those nations. It would be a good experience to fly the A-10 (and others including Russian/Soviet aircraft) in the actual theatres of combat that they've flown in. Best, Kevin

I watched a few Youtube videos last night of the OR rollercoaster demo and was very intrigued as to what the experience for a flightsim might be. Has anyone experienced it, and more importantly, is ED working with OR developers to make this a future possibility?

Hi all Yesterday I bought the F15C on sale. Wow, unbelievable power. I love it. One question. I have assigned differential breaking to my toe pedals on the rudder, but much like with FSX, on initially assigning the axis control, the breaks are applied when the toe pedals are unpressed - therefore the break are permanently applied. In FSX there was a checkbox to reverse the axis so that the breaks were applied only when the toebreaks are depressed. How do I do this in DCS? cheers

While I kept away from the multiplayer experience provided by DCS World, although the P51d was the reason I joined this platform, I was really not getting the most out of it. I bought DCS some 1,5 yrs ago, after deciding to really give it's flight dynamics model a try, and immediately became a fan of it. My main problem with DCS World is the proper configuration of all those commands, switches, views, communications... specially when dealing with the modern fighters. Although I also got FC3, the A10C and the Ka-50, and the two helicopters ( uh-1h and mi-8 ) the truth is that the only airplane I really fly, and am trying now to learn to use online in multiplay…

Hi I downloaded DCS World yesterday for the first time. I havent yet flown in it, but spent most of yesterday getting used to the interface, setting controls up etc. Now learning to start the Su-25 before setting off on my first flight. Does DCS come with a recorder and playback function , similar to the FSRecorder in FSX?
