Dear community, I am trying to adapt an 8 position rotary switch for the PMDG 747 EFIS range knob. This requires recognizing the direction in which the rotary switch is being turned. Every of the 8 positions has its own Lua script and its own offset. When the switch is turned and reaches a new position, the offset of this position is set to "2". The script then checks if the offset of the position preceding (clockwise) the actual position is also "2" - it would mean the switch has been turned clockwise. This works pretty well, but if I turn the switch too much, I geht jumps and mostly increases where there should be decreases. I am suspecting the internal memory. …

I am trying to find a work around for a rotary button that only has a push-function but not a pull-function. I want to use it in an Airbus home cockpit for the Baro encoder that in the real airplane is push/pull. My plan is that if a push sends a push command (ROTOR_BRAKE plus parameter) to FSUIPC, the next push will send a pull command. So while the button can only be pushed, it will send alternating commands. I have experince with the EPIC programming language that is similar to C++, but I cannot find information how Lua handles flags. Hello, I have a WinWing Orion Throttle base. It has several rotary knobs (every rotational click is a button signal) and I want to set those up to control the MCP of the PMDG 777 in P3Dv5. I've managed to get it to work but there's at least 2 or 3 seconds of lag from when I start rotating the control to when I see a reaction in the sim. The alternative that I'm using now is to use FSUIPC6 to assign keyboard commands to these buttons and simply set up those key commands in the FMC menu of the airplane. Please note: Using F2 (or repeating decrease Throttle) is NOT the solution. Please do not post that. On Prepar3D I had the thrust reversers working by setting values for the reverser axis in the Honeycomb configurator. This allowed for a configuration where the reverser handles could be used on the Honeycomb Bravo, as they are implemented using switches. Setting the reverser axis values also allows you to use "Idle Reverse", while using both the reverser handles and the pull-back switch (pushing the throttles levers down beyond zero) can be set to "Full Reverse". I installed and configured as described, and LINDA (version 4.1.5) correctly starts up together with FSUIPC. First of all, there was a missing "config-hid.lua" in "MSFS Default" that caused it to complain, and possibly also blocked saving of changes? In any way, only after I created an empty file did it save correctly. The PMDG module contains a syntax error in "config-CDU2.lua". There was just a single line and it looked like a comment, so I just prefixed "-- " I succesfully defined bindings for the parking brake to set, but releasing it did not work. Hi, when on my old system, I use a MMJoy16 USB input with encoder, and set to 40ms timer, it'll skip some(many) steps when rotation fast(normal speed when you use them actually), but for my FPS it's about what I could get, and LINDA is also happy with it. I have built my new system and FPS grow much higher, now if it's FSUIPC direct input or in other sims like X-Plane, I can set the timer to 20ms or even 0 to get much less skips, and that makes large input much easier, however, when using with LINDA, such fast input will cause input lag, LINDA seems can't handle all the fast input, but instead of skip some in between, it'll lag them behind, and execute all of them wi…

For anyone using the Saitek/Logitech Pro Flight Yoke, the X52 HOTAS, or the X52 Pro HOTAS, you've most likely encountered difficulties with the Mode Switch when using anything other than the Saitek Smart Technology profile editor. Windows' Game Controller setting (joy.cpl) will show the Mode Switch as functioning, yet your game or third-party programming software (like LINDA or FSUIPC) will not recognize any input--programmed or native--from the Mode Switch. Everything else will work, just not the Mode Switch*. There is a reason for that, and a solution as well. The Mode Switch was intended to triple the amount of keybindings/controls that you could program. As …

I had to reinstall W10 on my PC and then reinstall P3D V5.3 on another disk than the system disk. As it was before the reinstallation. My MCP II worked fine, including loe Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals, and Saitek's Swicth Panel.I'm running with FSUIPC 6 and Linda 3.3.5.1364 in a "Modules" folder in P3D.When I launch the simulator the LINDA program does not launch whereas it did before.When I launch it manually I receive an error message which I attach below.Thank you in advance for your help.Jean-Luc - FCY-DML

Hello, i use this great LINDA-module for the FBW A320. There are now 3 other mods: LVFR A319 - FBW Compatibility Mod by Horizon Simulations LVFR A321neo - FBW Compatibility mod by Horizon Simulations and LVFR A318 - FBW Compatibility Mod by Horizon Simulations Using these mods, LINDA choose the default aircraft module and not the FBW A320 module. Good evening all, I am using the Saitek switch panel with Linda. As usual when I power up Linda, the LED gear lights come on in the usual flashing red and green motion. I know the fix for this is to press a button on the controller. However, slight problem here is that I removed the LEDs from the saitek panel to use them as a warning indicator. So effectively I have the Saitek LEDs plugged in and working as a warning panel without the attached switches. My question is, how do I stop the flashing LEDs where I have no associates buttons available to press. Any ideas about this would be most welcome. The PMDG 737 for FS2020 v.06 has the functions for Fuel Flow "reset" and "used". but when assigned to any button or switch, the "reset" will "stick" and not return to "rate" when released. And the "used" function doesn't do anything. All other functions I programmed (and I have a LOT of them) are working fine. There is no "rate" function to be used for "On Release".

I'm trying to set the altitude with the ALT preselector in 1000 ft steps higher or less. It's an Carenado CJ2 aircraft on a FSX:SE Sim, and Carenado is very tricky. I asked their support for help, but they told me, thats not possible, because its too complex and they have their own thing. The FSUIPC logger tells me, if I set the altitude with the mouse, it starts 6 event-IDs at the same time to set the desired altitude. With Linda tracer I found a Lvar "L:CUSTOM_AP_ALT_VAR_SET_ENGLISH" to operate the ALT value. I made a lua macro with it. At Mobiflight in the macro settings at the value window, I wrote 1000 in it.
