Here is the first iteration in development of PM/Prosim module. What's done: Display sync with VRi MCP Combo All MCP Dials working (CRS/SPD/HDG/ALT/VS) CRS rotary works for both left and right course (press knob to toggle) Vertical speed indication (not tested, but should work) What's NOT done: NO BUTTONS ACTIONS NO EFIS ROTARIES ACTIONS Instead of that you can use the default FSUIPC assignments for Project Magenta. Go to the FSUIPC Buttons & switches control panel, tap VRi MCP button or turn the knob - it will be detected as joystick button press. Then mark the "Include Project Magenta" checkbox and select th desired action for this button or knob from the drop l…

After 8 weeks of development, trial and error and false starts, I am pleased to offer the next version of LINDA 2.6.0 as a Beta release. This version introduces dynamic connection and disconnection of Joysticks/Devices (switchable) and the ability to connect directly to Saitek Multi and Radio Panels. I am indebted to user Cooly for his excellent work on the Saitek panels. Before installing please READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR MODULES FOLDER. Please report any observations and issues on this thread. All comments are welcome especially from users with Saitek Multi and Radio panels. The beta 11 can be downloaded from here. New Feature…

While using LINDA Editor to write several instructions I tried to ease the job by trying to highlight an instruction and use the copy/paste system. I was allowed to highlight the instruction and bring up the copy/paste sub menu. However, when I clicked on copy, a LINDA error message appeared on the screen producing continuous images with a bleep each time and I could not stop them. I had to reboot the computer to close LINDA and remove the multiple messages and images. The message was "Access violation at address 00405B16 in module "linda.exe". Read of address 000028EC". Have you come across this before. I don't mind one error message if I do something wrong but this…

I have a Saitek Flight Instrument Panel; the small display with some buttons and knobs that can be used to display gauges. The current LINDA version will detect the FIP and allow handling of the buttons, but I would like to attempt to generate gauge images. I already had something working in C++, but even a first test to call that code from LINDA requires me to know a bit more about how the USB devices are identified and accessed in LINDA. Where can I find information about this? Bert Laverman

I've just started using LINDA2.5.7 after upgrading from earlier version and am having a problem with the Tracer window. I can open the window and obtain the Lvars list but when I click "Start All" to begin the trace, the program stops and I get an error message "Range check error". The Editor and Console sections are working correctly. Has anybody else come across this or found a way round? I am running on Windows 7 64 bit with FSX and Linda on their own drive "D" separate from the system drive "C".

Hi! First of all, let me wish you all the best for this new year. And let me thank you a lot for this incredible piece of software that is LINDA. It helps me a lot when installing my saitek setup. As you must have understood, I'm using Saitek hardware to fly mostly on Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 (I sometime fly with standard FSX planes and use SPAD in this case, so it's not the matter of this topic). I want to totally get rid of SPAD when flying the Airbus so that there is no conflicts between SPAD and my assignments in LINDA. But it's currently not possible because of the lack of support of the radio panel with LINDA. And it's even worth when talki…

Hello campers!! This post is to ask for multiple shift states as a feature request. How many of us have saitek flight controls with otherwise useless mode switches on them? I say useless not because they are exactly, but rather because most of us have been unable to do anything with them unless we use the saitek profile software and lets face it, for most of us that is just not good enough. It can tend to be unreliable, laggy, etc... not to mention it only sends keystrokes, and it doesn't even do that very well depending on the keys involved. But it's a great idea right? I know, some of you are still saying "What Idea?? I never could figure out what that thin…

Is there a need for a Carenado C210 module? I have a functional one if someone would like to try it. A lot of the functionality is just FSX commands with added sounds for switches and cowl flaps. Gregg

LINDA has made a huge difference to my flight-simming experience and I would like to pay back a little to the community by learning how to create a module which I can then share. So I have had a go at a module for the Carenado B1900D to add some of those functions which are not just the ordinary FSX controls. I haven't yet learned how to do deal with things like the "initTimer" so it's basically just "ipc.writeLvar" and toggle functions so far. I'm sure there are plenty of improvements which can be made and it would be great if the more expert members can help or advise if they are interested, but I don't know how to upload the module I have created though (it has abou…

LINDA 2.5 is now the recommended version! Hello friends, Here is the BETA of next LINDA patch: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15957127/linda-1.14b-patch.zip The one and only purpose of this patch is to make LINDA more stable and responsive in working with HID devices. Current version could miss some keypresses if they're comming too fast in one queue and there is a noticiable delay between keypress and actual commad exection. This new patch tries to eliminate these issues, but I'm not sure if it will work right on your systems, so let's test it. The optimal conditions for fastest response are: FSX Sync is ON - this one is essential! LINDA GUI …

Hi, first of all: thank you for version 2.5!!! Well done! I am using MCP Combo I and whenever I would like to save a setting in "MCP Combo" Screen inside LINDA I get the following message: [E] *** LUA Error: linda-cfg/aircrafts/A2A_C182/config-mcp.lua:631: '}' expected (to close '{' at line 598) near 'FRE1' Problem is, that the "RADIO" section is not "closed" by "}". Hello guys, After long period of doing other things I'm now getting back to simming... this time it's the DCS series. Not sure if I'll stay with it for a long time, but anything could happen. And now, after getting used to MCP Combo in FSX, I can't imagine how to play DCS without it. So I did some initial investigation and have found that it is possible to adapt LINDA to it. This will require to rewrite the Lua part of LINDA and to do some modifications in GUI part, but nothing impossible there. So, my question is - how many of you really interested in this project? I'm asking because for my own purposes I can do a simple set of scripts without any GUI and wit…

LINDA 2.0 RELEASE CANDIDATE 0 (2.0.5) This new release is as a result of Project Linda2Airbus aimed at making the excellent LINDA utility compatible with the VRInsight Airbus FCU Combo. Thanks to the generosity of the original developers in giving me access to the source code I have developed LINDA 2.0 to provide full compatibility with both the Boeing MCPII and Airbus FCU; it has not be tested with the original MCP but should be compatible. This release candidate has been extensively tested with the Aerosoft Airbus X A320/A321 v1.16. It provides full GUI programming for the FCU by expanding LINDA's existing functionality. It has been tested with both the A…

Hello Linda guys, I am new in this forum and just tried to find out how to build the functions within the DA Piper Cheyenne because I want to build a hardware panel and the most clickspots in the overhead panel are toggel switches. So I tried to find some easy information how to build a module for LINDA. But I failed with my search. And the next problem is the bad search possebilitys here in the forum. So I just tried to program a bit with looking in the existing modules. Is this the right place to post some files when they are note ready yet? I have just put in the nessecary functions for the overhead, but I could continue it if I could get some fur…

BlackBox have now published their SDK. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hnw3iayit3fkydt/BlackBox%20Airbus%20Series%20SDK.xlsx However, as most variables are read-only, it doesn't seem much use for LINDA.

Hi all, This seems to be a fantastic software, although I confess I haven't tried it yet. The reason is that I'm mainly flying the Wilco/Feelthere E-Jets (E-17x & E-19x). I own a Saitek Switch Panel and a MCP Combo, so I'd love to try LINDA with this set up and the E-170! Anybody working on a module for the E-Jets? Regards, Marconi

Hello, I've been searching for anything about compability of Saitek Multi Panel with Linda and I haven't really found anything. My question is, is there any way to make saitek panel work with linda (especially I mean the diplay work with for example 737 NGX, Dash 8 Q400 etc..). For now I have big trouble setting this up. And I also have trouble with setting up view options of my Saitek Yoke - the hat switch on the left doesn't work as I want it to. Thanks in advance!

Hello folks, i just fell over LINDA and LUA. Im into chopper flying on FSX/P3D and found out i can operate switches via HOTAS and LINDA For ex i have the module for the ND Skycrane and now i can operate the snorkle, yeah Im using the TM Warthog HOTAS. Now i wanted to program a module for Ceras UH60. My first switch i wanted to operate was the Force Trim Release on the stick. I found the Lvar trimrel. It toggles when i use the Tracer. I was able to program the switch sound but unfortunately the switch itself is not operating. I progamed the button via a toggle on/off. It is a standard push button. I already checked the Skycrane module for hints and i…
