LINDA Development

Has anyone or is anyone working on a Linda profile for the Simcheck A300? I tried it but have no xperience with LUA; Thank you!

Hello- I bought Real Time, but don't really want to start one more thing when I fly- I was told that a simple Lua plug-in would suffice.... "A small plug-in could do it easily enough. There is a standard Lua function "os.date" which returns date and time -- in fact optionally UTC (Zulu) time, which would fit the bill very well." This is the so called "fallback" library, means all FSX standard plane assignments which should be the base for any further assignments! Hi there guys, I was wondering if somebody could help me out on how to get the Lua codes from the LVD767 for operating the FMC with the CDU II from Vrinsight. I know EmileB did this for the PMDG 737NGX and it works like a charm trough FSUIPC. I now operate the LVD767 CDU trough FSUIPC (with the help of mouse macro's) aswell but most of the times I need to press a button on the CDU two times before it gives a reaction, with the PMDG trough LUA this isn't the case. I tried the LUA tutorial found here on the forum but it logs key press etc... but no values from the planes panels. I hope somebody could help me out on this.

Gents, The MCP Combo 2 unit sent to me by VRinsight has arrived. I will start to work on updated version of LINDA in a couple of days. The plan is first to release a compatibility patch without reworking the GUI just to allow LINDA to recognize new unit. The full update with dedicated GUI for MCP2 will be released later. I suppose it will take about 2 weeks to update LINDA, because new unit has a totally new communication language. No major problems expected here, but it will take some time to make it work. All updates on development process will be here in this thread.

Recently I bought the VRinsight MCP Combo II (Boeing type), mainly to be used together with the PMDG 737NGX using the wonderful LINDA software. I was wondering, however, if someone managed to get the MCP Combo working together with the Tinmouse Boeing 737-200? Or maybe somebody knows how I could get it to work?

Hello everybody, I was wondering if there already is an user lib available to easily access the enhanced controls to the iFly 737 which are provided through their iflytofsuipc.exe I started to copy the documented commands to a user lib but before doing all the effort, maybe someone already did it. I know that there is a module from Helge - but it only supports EFIS and MCP through macros. My goal is to write directly to the ifly fsuipc offsets. Cheers, Sebastian

Hello to everybody!first of all I have to say thanks to the developer of Linda, great job!Now to my problem. I am a proud owner of the mcp combo panel, which makes a lot of fun. For a couple of month I started to investigate to realize an Airbus cockpit (next to my 737 cockpit). The jeehell software seems to be great for that and free.Unfortunely there is no support for vrinsight products, as the developer does not own one. The only fcu hardware which is supported is VERY expensive. Therefore if the mcp combo panel would be supported with Linda it would be a big issue for all Airbus pilots.Can somebody help in that case? HIGHLY appreciate that...Dennie

(I've sent a more tangible thank you, as well).You've greatly contributed to my "desktop flying dementia" by expanding the function to allow up to 10 units.I've taken a somewhat different route to "low budget" desktop flying. I love the PMDG 737NGX and have built MCP, EFIS and Overhead units to go with the normal yoke, quadrant and pedals. (photo attached). They are all based on the wonderful Bodnar BU.modules. There are 1 each for the MCP and EFIS and 3 for the OVH, that's 5 x 32+ switches to assign. I've been avoiding this for long time, as I've been thinking this is something very confusing, but after install I found it very userfriendly.My issue is, I can't find a key assignment for realair turbine duke reset timer button that placed on adf receiver. I really need to assign a key for it, as I need a stopwatch for NDB approaches. Would anyone show me the right direction, so I can assign a key for it.Warm Regards

Hi,I would like to update my Captain Sim 767 Profile regarding the use of NAV2.How can I read the value of the MCP Display for example NAV2 active and standby?My problem:Whenever I try to use NAV2 with CS767 and I toggle the value at the MCP this value will be overwritten by "the plane". I am able to write a frequency to an LVAR. Therefore I would like to read the standy frequency to the LVAR whenever I toggle NAV2.Any ideas?

Hi folks,some of us are quite unhappy, cause LINDA doesn't support LevelD 767 and Ifly 737NGX in the same way like PMDG 737NGX.But VRISim does, the only reason for me to use it.Problem, both programs could not be used at the same time.For me I found a solution using two copies of the modules-folder, one renamed to make him "standby"I'll explain it step by step, to be clear. Install VRISim from VRInsight. make a copy of your existing Modules-Folder with all the Linda-stuff in it and rename it to Modules.VRI open the new modules.vri-folder delete all the linda-stuff in it, don't forget the Linda.lua to avoid FSX from Crash. open FSUIPC4.ini and delete all entries related…

Is there any update in the works for compatibility with the new CaptainSim updates? Some of the controls/offsets are no longer working with the latest versions. I've noticed fuel on/off, PFD mode and zoom all not working since the CaptainSim updates. Most of the MCP controls (CRS/HDG/SPD/ALT) still work, however.

Although I'm aware that the M-Panel isn't supported I'd like to report that I have had some success using the M-Panel with LINDA and classing it as the MCP Combo I.Particularly the PMDG 737NGX and J41. The MD-11 behaves mad, but I managed to re-work it.I'm an LUA novice, and perhaps haven't used best practice, but the LUA's included for the aircraft gave me a good basis to adapt them by removing the functions and using ipcPARAMs, after which the sections of code executed fine utilising FSUIPC.Without the LINDA components it would have been very difficult to get to grips with LUA, so thank you!I hope …

Hi Community, I would like to know, how to send an continous update for example to the DispALT() function.My problem is, that I would like to send an special offset of the Wilco Airbus to the MCP Panel. I know that it is possible to set the offset at the InitDsp () function, but then it has just been set at the initialisation. I would like to have a continous update of the offset at the display every 5 seconds or realtime. If I update the MCP Display whenever the MCP ALT Know is turned, the display doesn't work properly. I this it is too much offset read and display updates. Any ideas? Regards,pero

Hi,I am using ipc.control(n, param) to control switches in PMDG NGX.To toogle FD1 switch on the MCP I use:function FD1 () ipc.control(70010, 536870912) ipc.control(70010, 131072)endThis in turn sets the Lvar ngx_switch_378_8 to either 0 or 100.Everything works OK, BUT in order to understand the link between ipc.control offsets and the LVars I wonder how did you guys found thatoffsets 70010 addresses the ngx_switch_378_a Lvar ( FD1) and all other 700XX offsets?
