Bonjour ,

	I started with ChatGpt, but I would prefer to get help on this forum if possible!

	My goal: Checklist for cessna 172 G1000
(very basic no verification of the action because too complicated for me at least for the beginning)

	Process: 1) the Checklist will have to be read by the W10 voice recognition which works relatively well either SAPI or Cortana.

	2) the voice will read the items one by one and to move on to the next one:

	- either I can answer by my voice (if it is possible to integrate into lua)

	- or I press a Rac (keyboard or joystick) which will mean = next

	*************************************************Exemple Script***********************************************

	ShowMessage("LINDA READY...", 10) -- clear display

	_log("[INIT] Captain si vous êtes pret je commence le checklist avant démarrage!")
_log("[INIT] ***************************************************************")

	function Checklist_avant démarrage()

	    ipc.display("documents à bord.", 5) --Displays this message in the simulator
ipc.sleep(5000) --Pause of 5s to allow time to execute
ipc.display("1. ceintures attachées.", 5) --Displays this message in the simulator
ipc.sleep(5000)                                              -- Pause
ipc.display("2.portes fermées.", 5) --Displays this message in the simulator
ipc.sleep(5000) --                                          --Pause

	end

	**********************************************************************************************************

	on this example I would have liked to add a response to the 3 actions.
can you help me to do this according to my test example.

	Question: Linda integrates: lua official program or is it another type of program?

	I found various manuals on 'lua' in fsuipc, but I didn't find the subject of the checklists discussed, I'm going to do my search a second time, I could have made a mistake.

	Merci by advance.🙂

	Hi Everyone,

	I hope you anybody can help me or to give me a good tip?

	I have been using VRInsight's MCP Combo II Boeing until recently. But since I am building a homeckpit B777, I am of course trying to buy and install the hardware as realistic as possible 🙂

	From www.flightsimpm.com I bought the landing gear lever + EFIS + Panelswitch for the B777 and run them all with the Linda software.

	Recently I bought a MCP from the company SimTek with a COM Port via RS232 to USB Connection.... As it is very close to the real MCP.

	Unfortunately SimTek does not offer any software to the MCP 😔and according to SimTek, users have to create their own software that communicates with the code language of the MCP.

	Now comes my question to you 😉.

	I strongly assume that the Linda software accesses your FSUIPC .Lua and thus the hardware will work in P3d V5.5 ( like the MCP from VRInsight)

	I have a PDF file, with the code language of the MCP...! So anybody could read the file with code and I hope anybody can help me to bring this into the P3D V5.4 via FSUIPC?

	Or any other idea?

	1000 thanks for your answer

	Best regards

	Stephan

Hello dear LINDA users,

as there are from time to time several requests for this and that addon, I will just clarify how this is handled.

- You are of course free to request a module.

- LINDA is a community project, in other words, everybody is adressed to create and share modules for addons.

- I'm (guenseli) do not feel adressed automatically if someone asks to make a LINDA module for addon XYZ. I just do modules for addons I like to fly (yes, I have to buy them myself)

- what addons do I (guenseli) like? every Accusimmed A2A plane, PMDG stuff, Majestic and every other system deep addon. Therefore you can be sure to get for that kind of addons a module earlier or later - mostly earlier.

- But Addon XYZ is incedible system deep, why is there no module? there is probably the unlikely case that I haven't heard about that addon. Or - more likely - it is a good addon, but users are divided if it is really that good or worth the money. In other cases, some addons are out there, where I'm myself not sure if I should buy them and therefore I do not like to spend the money. (an example is the Flight1 King Air). In both cases, you can drop me a PM.

	Apologies if this is not the correct place to post this question.

	Question: how do I write and implement a LUA script (assuming this is the correct tool) to cause a specific engine on a light twin (Carenado Baron B58) to fail at a specific airspeed (IAS)?

	Background: The Carenado Baron responds correctly to the P3D Engine X failure (on/off) command when a hardware button is assigned to it. I'm guessing then that it might be possible to "wire" this command to a script to trigger as the a/c accelerates during takeoff.

	It would be useful to be able to do this to facilitate my CMEL checkride with VATSTAR.

	Thanks in advance.

	Hey guys,

	after searching a lot I still did not find a solution. I would like to read a control event paramater, and depending on this parameter value, I would send an control event.

	Example: The COM1 audio panel can be selected to On with the Control Event 66964, Parameter 1, and to Off with Parameter 0. What would be the correct syntax for programming? I have used this but it does not work:

	function COM1_RECEIVER_toggle ()
COM1_receiver_state = read ipc.control("66964") -> I know this is wrong and I didn't find the correct syntax how to read a parameter of a given control event
if COM1_receiver_state == 1 -> if the COM1 Audio is On
then
ipc.control("66964", 0) -> set COM1 Audio to Off
else
ipc.control("66964", 1) -> set COM1 Audio to On (if Off before)
end

	So when I assign a button, it should switch the COM1 Audio to On from Off or Off from On, depending on the given state. Off course, the same principle would be for COM 2, so that I can switch them independently On or Off (e.g. COM1 On with ATC, COM2 temporarily On to listen to ATIS, but not deactivating COM1).

	The COM_RECEIVE_ALL_TOGGLE Event 66465 is not the goal for me as I wish to selectively and independently listen to COM1 and COM2.

	Off course, this principle would be the same for any MSFS 2020 Control Event with On and Off states and non existing toggle function.

	Thank you very much for your help and many greetings from

	Robert!

	To input heading knob, while the heading window on AP panel shows correct and AP flies what shown here in degree, the BUG on HSI jumps about 50 more degree (about exactly 1 radian:57.30degree if it's a coincidence),

	I jumped into the gauges' xml, and find in AP panel, the xml is use: (L:HDG HOLD,degrees), but in HSI it uses: (L:HDG HOLD,radians). I can't simply change them as they also interact with other elements in their space.

	Seems if I use LINDA (or FSUIPC in general) to send "ipc.writeLvar("L:HDG HOLD",HDG)" both of them will recive the number, and as what it think it is, thus makes this problem, if I use mouse click on panel, it will know it's now on degrees and pass radians to HSI correctly.

	After few hours of researching, I was able to make XML edit (in MN_Mercure, HSI_PILOT.xml and HSI_COPILOT.xml) to make it works for me :

		<Rotate>
			<Value>!lua return dgrd(d360(varget("L:HDG HOLD","degrees") - rddg(varget("L:VG1_HDG","number"))))</Value>
		</Rotate>
	</Element>

	But still,I would prefer just only make a better LINDA profile rather than have to edit the xml, and ideas?

See this thread: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/539229-linda-for-vrinsight-cdu-ii-fcu-mcp-combo-ii/?tab=comments#comment-3874921

	A dialog with the Linda developer yielded this:

	"Adding bespoke support of the CDUII would involve not insignificant changes to the LINDA GUI similar to the MCP pages. Access to the physical hardware would be required for at least 6 months and retention would allow continued support. Details of the interface requirements from VRInsight would be essential to successful completion.

	I won't quote a cost element as all LINDA support relies on my free time which has other priorities and calls on it (ie. family and business). Donations are accepted based on the value users place on our support contribution."

	So I'm wondering if there would be any interest in attempting to crowd fund the development. What we would need to do initially is, for example, set up a Go Fund Me account, probably best just to have ScotFlieger set it up in his name so he could draw on it. Initially we'd want to raise about 500 Euros which would allow ScotFlieger to purchase, and get shipped, a CDU II that he could use for the development, and then keep for ongoing support.

	Any Interest? The more people involved the less expensive it will be on each individual.

	I see the 717 module is T version 0.9. No work on it since July 2017. With version 1.1 official release in a matter of days can we, hopefully, get more work on it? Much appreciated.

	Hi,

	At first time, sorry for my bad English.

	I have isntalled X-Plane 11 with XPUIPC v2.0.4.8. I run XP11 and run Linda.exe (inside P3dv4\modules folder). If I push on "Reload LUA engine", I can read inside XP11 screen the same message that I read in P3Dv4: ¡¡Linda restarting...!!, and on LINDA... "Everything is ok!!" 3 times on greeen.

	Ok, then I suposse that XPUIPC and LINDA can talk between them and has communication. Of course, the VRI MCP Combo 2 not connect with XP11.

	Is possible that this be the biginning for XP11 with LINDA?

	Thanks and best regards.

	First- a BIG thank-you to @ScotFlieger and @guenseli for the MSFS default aircraft module. I look forward to its continued evolution as the sim grows. In re other aircraft, I read the issue was the state of the SDK, I also read that the SDK is evolving with each patch. Is it possible to get an update on this occasionally? I am (at the moment) most interested in the Carenado Mooney, but as the market grows, my needs will too. It's very difficult to fly without LINDA!

	Thanks again!
I made a small macro to control the TER ON ND button with the VRinsight MCP. In the following a short instruction to reproduce. Simply sharing is not possible because the mouse macro depends on the screen resolution.
The tricky part of this button in contrast to the other buttons is that you need 2 mouseflags for the mouse macro. First you have to run the mouseflag: 3 (Left single click) and then 13 (Left release) one after the other.

In detail I did this as follows:
A. I created a mouse macro in FSUIPC named FSLA3XX_SL.MCRO with the following content:

[Macros]
1=TER_ON_ND1=RX22002004,3
2=TER_ON_ND2=RX22002004,13

Attention:the numerical values behind RX depend on the screen resolution, for me it is 22002004, for you it can be a different value.

The macro is stored in the FSUIPC main folder.

B. with the LINDA editor the user.lua around the following lines extended:

function SL_TERR_ON_ND_toggle()

ipc.macro("FSLA3XX_SL: TER_ON_ND1")
DspShow("TERR", "ON_ND")
ipc.macro("FSLA3XX_SL: TER_ON_ND2")
end

C. in the LINDA GUI the function SL_TERR_ON_ND_toggle is assigned to the TERR key.
That was it, good luck
Hi ScotFlieger, hi devs,

I was fiddling around with Pete Dowsons "TripleUse.lua" which allows to assign also functions to single press, release like in LINDA and also doublePress and longPress functions.

As i found that thread and figured out, that it is not possible to contribute via Fork + PR, i'd kindly ask whether adding those double-press and long-press functions for assignment in LINDA as it would be ways more convenient than doing that in lua scripts.
Do you think that might be a future feature?

Best regards,  Joe

	Hello,

	I am using Linda 3.2.6. When I am selecting "Developer Mode" in "Setup Linda" the "Linda Tracer" and Linda Editor" activates.
But if I klick another Windows and then back to Linda, the "Developer Mode" deactivates automatically. Even "Linda Logging" setting in "Linda Console" behaves the same, setting is gone when leaving window.

	The setting is stored in "linda-gui.ini", but when it automatically deactivated, this deactivation is synced to confilg file. I also tried to activate Dev-Mode via direct entry to config file, but it is immediately overwritten.

	Linda did not behave like this in previous versions is used.
Is there a way to activate Dev-Mode and Log-Levels permanent?

	Thanks and best regards,
LINDA is currently a 32-bit application developed using the Delphi IDE in Pascal. My attempts to convert it to a 64-bit application have hit a barrier with some routines in the FSUIPC SDK library using DWORD variables.

	Are there any programmers in the LINDA community familiar with 64-bit variables and pointers who could assist me?

	I had a home made MCP with Rotary encoder as 2 button for flight, But with most LINDA module I've used (QW787\AS320), to set a HDG say some 100 away is painful.

	In real aircraft, the MCP knobs will auto accelerate, allow much quicker setting when you rotate the knob fast, While PMDG did that inside their portion(I conncted PMDG with FSUIPC control so no LINDA invoved), they are tuned as real aircraft use a 36click pre loop encoder, while mine only had 20clicks per loop, so it's still need some fine tune.

	Meanwhile, the FS/P3D's own "acceleration" could stuck you in interval 10 forever, or just jump to 10 way too fast even when using with mousewheel.

	I really didn't know much about lua, is there someone could came up a genius code that could detect the speed of rotation and make the interval change accordingly, with parameters to fine tune with? Thanks!
