Baron B58 FSX | P3D

I have several Carenado aircraft for FSX and I want to upgrade to P3Dv4. Will my current aircraft migrate to P3Dv4 or will I have to purchase new ones for the new P3Dv4.

Thinking about buying the Baron B58 during the sale. I want to fly it in P3Dv3. Carenado does not make a P3Dv2 nor v3 version, so I assume I would install the fsx version using the migration tool. Have done this on some other Carenado fsx models and everything seems to work except the cockpit switch sounds. Anyone have any experience/advice on the B58 in P3Dv3? Thanks

Hi all. Gave this item a second look, and have started full bore to make a Carenado Baron 58TC version. I can do this in two ways; 1.) A separate plane with it's own parameters... separate Aircraft folder and gauge set. or B.) wholesale change of the current liveries in your Carenado B58 File. No matter which, there will be a new livery included that I'm currently working on. The good news is, no .air file changes are needed... so this is purely an aircraft.cfg and gauge change affair. Flying my new Carenado Baron B58 in FSX and am tring to understand what the de-icing pressure gauge is suppose to show. The needle moves all over the place, and I'm not sure what it's telling me when it moves. Is it suppose to show me when I need to turn on the icing switches?

Yesterday I downloaded Carenado's Beech 58 and was checking out all the features. I noticed when I am outside of the aircraft, the engine sounds are really (I mean, REALLY) bad. Is this a known issue, and is there a solve for this? Also, is there a list of highly recommended mods to this aircraft? Thanks.

I have purchased the Rxp 530 and 430 not the unlimited pack. Can I install two (not crossfilled or linked) Rxp 430s in the Baron ? If not, is there a config file for a single Rxp with the blanking plate ? I have searched and seen these sort of things mentioned but didn't quite understand the posts, including an uprate of the transponder with Rxp components. Cheers

Installed the Baron into P3D V3 and have noticed the maximum manifold pressure at full throttle is reading about 25" at an airport elevation of 720 feet. Checked the same in FSX and get a normal maximum MP indication.Checked the aircraft config file and it shows 32" as maximum. Can somebody else check their P3D V3 install and verify what you seeing maximum MP in a runup? Trying to determine if it is a V3 issue or a messed up file setting.

I have RXPGNS 430 installed on my Baron. When I attempt a GPS approach the yellow HSI indicators appear but they are centered, and stay there. I installed a generic HSI as a popup and it works fine. Any suggestions?

Hi. I've got the B58 for FS9...it's loaded with bugs, and I'm hoping a patch will help. I tried putting in the FSX patch as it was the only one I could find, but no change...can I install the patch manually file by file? Thanks.

Hi folks I have a problem that has occured suddenly. For some unknown reason I cannot set the altitude on the Autopilot Panel. The VS adjustment seems to work with the up/down Buttons (but show odd numbers instead of even increments?). Neither the up/down nor the set nob function for altitude setting. Can anyone help?

I don't remember where or when but i once dowloaded this information about tuning the Beech Baron 58. Any (real world) pilots who find this aircraft.cfg settings more realistic ? I've just purchased the B58, and the first surprise was, that there is no Terrain button on the GNS430 GPS, therefore no map profile to see mountains heights ahead. This is really disappointing, because I love flying the Baron over mountains and valleys with real weather download. That means if you're surprised by a weather front without a terrain mapping, you're dead! Now I had the same problem with Milviz B55, but they had a patch solution, and it's working good. I really wish CARENADO has also a solution for, because this is my first purchase there, and hope the support have a nice solution gift - it's Christmas time anyhow Thanks

I have two support tickets in with Just Flight and Carenado. So far Just Flight has offered completely irrelevant, useless information. Carenado has yet to respond. I see in the forums that someone else had this issue a couple of years ago, but no solution was presented in the post. Everything in the plane looks and works perfect, except for the wings and engine cover. When the plane first loads up, they are invisible. After a few minutes, they turn black and stay that way indefinitely. I have tried all of the suggestions on Carenado's website including re-installation as administrator. After recently downloading the Carenado B58 and flying on Vatsim with it, I have found the transponder will not cycle a squawk beginning with '0', all the other digits are fine however after being given several squawk codes and not being able to set them, the problem is becoming a bit of a pain, anyone know a fix? Squawk codes such as '7000' are fine, but '0457' will not set. Anyone else having problems?

With TrackIR now I would like to have the copilot position/view (sitting right) looking straight ahead like the pilot (sitting left) and not transverse direction down to the GPS. That would be exactly like in the FSX standard B58 Beach Baron. If someone knows the parameter for the aircraft.cfg and where exactly to be amended, I'll be grateful. Thanks

Hi all, Hope someone can help; I bought my Baron 58 a while back, and until now have always flown it straight from the aircraft selection screen with the engines already running. This time I want to do a start from cold and dark, but can't for the life of me figure out how to get the engines started! I've turned on the battery and alternator, as well as the fuel selectors, and the cockpit is completely dead. I know I must be doing something wrong here but I've tried everything and am at a loss! If one of you Baron veterans can lend a hand I'd be really grateful! Cheers, Tim

I've had the Baron for FSX for some time now. I am planning on getting Prepar3d in the near future. Is it legal to instal my copy of the Baron into Prepar3d or to meet the letter of the law would I be required to buy another copy? How about if I uninstalled it from FSX then installed it into Prepar3d? I guess another question I should ask since I'm asking them is since I bought my copy of the Baron before it was officially Prepar3d compatible (at least listed that way on the Carenado site) can my copy even be installed into Prepar3d? Thanks for the info.

Does anyone know where to find one? Having trouble with the Nav 1/approach. Either something is not visible in the VC or there is some buttons I can't find.
