Baron B58 FSX | P3D

In the Carenado Baron B58, when using the GPS toggle (Shift + 1) I keep getting the following screen with the lower half black. Has anyone got any ideas why this isn't working? Also, the mouse click for the GPS doesn't work?

Hi All. Just wondering if/how one would go about changing the aircraft over to a B58T. Would it be as simple as changing the aircraft,cfg, or is there more to it? Thanks.

I have just switched to DX10 and have noticed a problem with the heading and course bugs. In DX9, hovering with the mouse on either of the bugs will give you the heading in a popup text box. Once on DX10, this feature goes away. Since my ole eyes are not like they use to be, it makes it kinda hard seeing the actual heading. Just wondering if anyone else has ever noticed this and maybe know of a fix? Thanks

Hi Guys, Just a small bit of info please. I would like to know if it is possible when switching on the GPS in the VC that is switches on the 2D one as well at the same time. The reason I ask is that I noticed that in my Bonanza A36 and my Skymaster 337 this works but not in the B58.

I went searching for some new repaints and failed to find anything that caught my eye, so I did a little touchup to the Red one. Very conservative but different enough. Should anyone be interested in downloading shoot me a PM and I will upload it to the Avsim library. Ray

Good evening guys. I have got a problem with opening the doors of the Baron AFTER LANDING. I can open only the pilot doors (main exit). When I try to open the baggage door and the passenger doors, it just opens tha main exit. Before take off it worked perfectly. This issue occures on every flight I do. Hi! I'm using realityXP FLT/FLN gauges in most of my GA aircraft and wanted to change some of the barons gauges with the FLT ones. The problem is that in barons panel file the entrys seems to differ from others that I have installed (i.e carenado 172n panel file change "172Things!Airspeed" with "rxpFLT!Airspeed" and thats it). I'm asking is the B58 panel built differently so its not possible to modify gauges or should I dig deeper with the manual of FLT to get the gauges installed? Thanks, Archi

A Work In Progress:

When I start my flight and turn the autopilot on and select NAV it tracks the route right on with NAV annunciated on the upper left corner of the autopilot. After a while the plane very slowly starts to drift left of course. Next I see the ARM annunciation on the autopilot. As the flight progresses it drifts further left of course. Eventually the NAV annunciation moves from the upper left corner of the autopilot to the lower left corner. The CDI on the HSI also show the plane left of course. If I deselect then reselect NAV the plane banks a little right but then goes right back to where it was. Each time I do a new flight it starts all over again. If I just do a turn (do …

Hi, I just started flying the Baron again after several months of flying turboprops and I've noticed something that I'm not sure about, so I thought I'd ask if anyone else has seen it. Whenever I enter a turn in the Twin Baron I apply enough rudder to keep the ball centered but then without me changing the rudder input the ball slowly rolls to the side of the turn. No matter how much rudder I input the ball will center for a second and then slowly uncenter. Has anyone else seen this? I don't believe the real plane would behave this way. I'm wondering if there is some setting in the cfg file that needs tweeking. Thanks Mark

Folks How do I tune NAV 2? There doesn't appear to be anywhere I can put the mouse to get the hand with the +/- to tune. I'm running Acceleration. Is this one of the units that needs Gold? I'm sure I've downloaded the patches. Also, was there ever a fix for presetting the alt hold altitude, rather than having it simply hold the one you're at when you press ALT. Cheers Mike

the last few times I go from KBFI to CYYJ (Boing Field to Victoria), I get to 3000 ft and above, I lose power, and so do a dive till engine revs up and then usually no further problems............happens around Harvey Field as well, all in FTX PNW??...........any thoughts on icing or could this be a wheather program issue??...............appreciate your comments!! FolksI'm not sure if it's the driver or the plane. With the taps open for take off the rpm go to about 2800, which is a couple of hundred over red line. I've never flown a Baron, and not flown a similar twin for years and can't remember that detail, so not sure it that's right or not. Seems not. To stay under red line, I have to have the MP around 23". Any advice from people with more twin time than me?Also, should I be able to find a patch for the AP, so that I can set the rate of climb or descent?CheersMike Dryden

I just installed a SSD drive for FSX, and now am reloading everything.........installed the latest version of the B 58, including Bert Pieke's AP fix, and now when I hit the Shift 1 to get the AP view, and undock and move to second monitor, it goes blank?? all the other screens on the second monitor work fine, just this one.................on the old drive I could move the AP anywhere and no problem.............Anyone have a thought as to what the gremlin is??????????? thanks, B42L8

Has anyone noticed a lack of any illumination of the runway/taxiway at night in the Baron? I turned mine on to see where I was going in this black hole I was in, and there was absolutely no difference with them on or off. If there is already a thread on this (I did do a search) could you point it out to me please?Many thanks.PS - just checked the aircraft.cfg and there is no entry for landing lights. Does anyone happen to have the numbers for landing lights for this machine?
