I really missed hand flying DME arcs and good old style RMI flying in this airplane, so I have incorporated a stock FSX Baron RMI gauge into the panel. For those who are old school like me, maybe you crave into this very simple mod. First I would like to thank our mentor Bert for sharing the ADF radio mod into the stack (though I like his radio better but don't have it)--not to mention the F1 GTN gauges. Before stating the mods I don't know if permission is needed from Carenado, or if there is any interest. The RMI looks a bit funky compared to the beautiful 3D gauges in the panel, but it does the job for me. The double green needle points to your NAV2 radio frequency VOR or LOC, and the tail of the arrow will always tell you in which radial you are, no matter whether you are flying to or from the station. This is useful to give position reports to non radar ATC areas along with a DME reading. The yellow needle points to the NDB frequency in the ADF Radio. The mod involves placing the useful digital Shadin fuel meter where the GEM6 gauge is above the backup attitude and directional gyros are, and the RMI in its place. This is what it looks like.

	Hello,

I’m just getting around to installing my Carenado products in v5 to start flying again.

I always knew taxi and landing lights were dim from experience in v4, but they seem to be much worse in v5. No shaders installed, dynamic lighting and ground illumination set to on. After several hours of trying to educate myself on fx files or dynamic lighting, which I have zero experience with, I haven’t gotten anywhere.

At night, on a dark ramp, with panel and flood lights turned on, no light shines on the fuel Selector (I can’t see it at all). I’m using Prepar3D, vs 4.5. I’m sure it’s a gauge that Carenado missed lighting. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi All.

I'm currently working on version 2.0 of the 58TC mod. If I get the blessing from Guzel to use his baron mod, the new 2.0 wll have damage, wear and tear, and maintenance added.

What is planned for 2.0;

A new livery, some flight tweeking.

Re-worked engine sounds.

Damage Mod from Guzel adapted for the Carenado 58TC mod (A Mod Squad!)

The really cool damage mod will add:

- Engine-1 and Engine-2 wear and damage (with fire and sound effect)
- Engine Oil use, adding oil for each engine
- Propeller wear with sound effect for each propeller
- Flaps and Flaps Motor Wear and damage
- Landing Gear and Landing Gear Motor Wear/Damage with sound effect
- Wheel Brake Right and Wheel Brake Left Damage with sound effect
- Flight controls wear and Damage (Aileron,Elevator,Rudder) with sound effect
- If you make High G's, Elevator can be broken.
- AFCS (Automatic Flight Control System) Servos Wear and Damage with sound effect
- CowlFlaps-1 and CowlFlaps-2 damage
- Overspeed (if you fly faster than 235 knots you hear airframe stress sound effect)
- Pitot overheat (if you use pitot heat too long on ground)
- All Damage situations will be logged and saved. (If you leave the aircraft with damaged status, then you have the same damaged and weared status at next day)

I have a model in testing now. Say 30 days or so for release, pending OK from Guzel.
