Dear Bert, I think I am a bit like Les with his dual 430's. I've made some progress trying to configure my GNS530 Garmin to the B58, but got myself a bit bogged down at this point. Would you be kind enough to spell it out for me and perhaps any other RXP users who are reading this. I somehow managed to get the GNS530, GMA340, and GTX327 from RXP correctly installed in my ORBx Lancair, but that was a few months ago now. All I want to do is replicate that set-up in the B58, if I can. I presume I would need to use all-RXP gauges, since they are designed to talk to each other. But I I'm not even sure how to remove the 3D knobs or swap out the default Audio panel, etc. Crackin…

HelloI need to reduce the size of the 2d Main Panel so it will display on one screen in Eyefinity but can't find where the cfg for the main panel is located. I have looked in the panel.cfg file but main panel is not listed. Am I overlooking something? Thanks in advance!!GB

Sir: We have just purchased 2 copies of the carenado Baron B58 and installed.one wich is for my friend Harold Oduber, a very keen flyer of the real Baron ( + 6000 hrs ) but there is a problem gething the 2d cocpit to show ( full instruments ), VC with F9 no problem, F11 will show outside view and f12 Up-down, but F10 no cockpit view.My friend Harold is a parkinson patient so when I'm here in Aruba on vacation I try to help him.Can you help us please, I have trying to get support from carenado and Sim Market but no joy.Your help would be much appreciated.thank you.Joop ArensIVAO [email protected]

Hi,I just got the Reality XP GNS 430W XP. It's great. I was also considering getting the GNS 530 WAAS version ($50 USD) to tag along. I notice that the "Ultimate" version allows for linking and 2 licenses one each for GNS 430 and GNS 530 and linking between units($99 USD). Does anybody have any expertise with the Ultimate edition, versus stand alone 430 + 530? Not sure if it's worth putting $150 in GPS or not.Thanks,BB

I really like the B58 in all respects.. until its time to land. When approaching airports (in particular) FSX jumps to the next "View" as if I had hit the Cycle View (S key)) however, my "S" key is disabled to accomadate EZDoc. It is really annoying especially on short final. In fact, its maddening. . Is ther possibly a setting that may be causing such errativ behavior? I can not seem to start either engine from cold start. I have followed all the procedures listed in the manual but when I hit the starter the engine turns over but never stays running. If I use Control E the engines start aok. After that I can restart the engines OK until the next time I start fsx or change planes. Any idea as to what I may be missing when attempting cold start. Thanks

Is it me or has anyone else noticed an anomaly on the flight time located on the transponder? I like to use the flight timer and on the minutes segment it continues on past 59 minutes and never turnsover the hours past "1".Art Schwartz, Jr.

Hi allAfter reading some posts regarding some erratic behaviour on Throttle, Prop and Mixtures: I've decided to share my experience with you guys....O bought the B58 the same day as it was released and I didn't have a nice experience (you can find them on some post here) BUT at the same time I got the chance to test some hardware including Saitek (which I own from some time) and Elite Simulations throttle quadrant>I have to say that all the problems associated with throttle looks like are related to Saitek, for some reason that I don't understand a well calibrated, refine and clean Saitek induce problems on this particular Carenado addon, with the Elite hardware this …

Hi Finally I visited a friend who has the B58. I was very surprised, VC is fantastic, its far the best piston for manual flight I have ever encountered in FSX. But the stall & vmc characteristics are just not right, sometimes its so unrealistic that you cant recover....?It would be a great training aircraft if the stall, vmc, & ADF could be fixed.....is anything being done about that?Thanx/R

:mad:Everything works except the mixture levers.Leaving them in 'full rich' and at FL080 (8,000 ft alt) the fuel flows are around 13 gals/hour per engine with 2400 rpm and 2200 boost. I think this means that the mixture controls are working in 'auto'? Being used to setting them myself I wondered if there was a way to make them work manually.I am using FSUIPC4 registered version, and the mixture levers on my Saitek Pro Yoke system show operation over the full range, with the VC levers following each movement synchronously. When brought fully rearwards they do cut off the fuel supply to each engine. Over the rest of the range nothing happens.Enlightenment sought - :(

:blush:OK, so I'm the only one who doesn't know how to make the yoke invisible in the Virtual Cockpit!Please, put me out of my misery. A recent PC Pilot review of the Carenado B58 Baron said that one click did it, as is the case on many Carenado products.Never did see the point of having a 'virtual' yoke as well as the yoke/stick I was actually using. Also, I can lean over the real thing and see the switches.Waiting for advice, but not holding my breath!

Now, someone please correct me if I'm missing something here. I have found that when you switch the #1 Garmin 430 to GPS, or select a flight plan in the Number 1 430, the #2 unit follows suit exactly. Whatever/however you tune on the #1 unit, is reflected exactly in the #2 unit. You can't have the GPS mode selected on the #1 unit and the VOR/LOC mode selected on the #2 unit. I'm not sure (yet) what happens when you select a nav or com frequency on the #1, if that's reflected in the #2 unit also (if it is, that's even worse), so before I go off on a total rant, has anyone discovered a switch that allows you to operate the 430's independently of each other?Thanks.:(

The left engine on only the Red Classic seems to have a mind of its own. It surges, runs away and only erratically follows the throttle setting. . Right engine-- no problem. Other Baron paints ---no problems. Is this a built--in snag on the Baron ?? CJ.

After 2 'customer support' emails to Carenado and 2 speedy replies that did not FIX my Baron 58 I asked for a refund (as there is no free trial of this plane) Carenado emailed me Friday that a full refund had already been issued. I know.... 3 - 5 days wait..for me. This morning my bank says there has been no notification from Carenado now after 36 hours of any credit process being started or in the pipe line. I hope to get my $$ back. I'd rather have a fully-tested and fully-working Baron -and- decent support that could fix my plane. It is IMPOSSIBLE this Baron is NOT BROKEN..IMHO...Carenado's 2nd supporft email was a re-hash of how actual pilots have "signed-off" and …

I normally don't ask for help like this, but I have been trying to figure out how in the world to click on the fuel selector to turn the fuel valves on...but for some reason, no matter which view I cycle through, I just can't seem to get at both of the fuel selector valves.. I managed to get one of them barley, and I realize that I could just hit the trusty old "ctrl+e to fire the engines up automatically. But since your able to get at one of them, I know that they work and would like to use them to make everything more realistic when starting up from "cold and dark". Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hello just got my computer up and working as advertised in my own mind (personal joke to me.... ) So i decided to fire up on maiden voyage with new improved system the new Baron 58 i had purchased week before... taxing out to active changed mind on destination and clicked on gps so i could get pop up and blue screen computer restart... any fixes out there... I bought i believe after may 4th but how can i find the version number of this plane.... just wish when any company updates their products they just have it listed at top of new aircraft config you are using version 1.1 so we know. Other Carenado planes fly just fine... Thanks in advance Steve
