C185F SKYWAGON for FSX

Greetings Captains, Is there a fuel selector switch for the C185 and if so, where is it. If not, what is the procedure to balance fuel tanks. Currently, my C 185 fleet is drawing only from one tank, not both. thanks. Sherm

Kia Ora all Last evening, during an online flight with some friends i had a strange issue flying with the C185F Tundra. Reaching approx 3500 ft, flying over the Alps in Italy, the engine stops suddenly without any visiblecause. I started to fly down for an emergency landing but the engine re started by himself idling without responding at the throttle lever. I try to re start it using both cockpit and hardware commands without success. I use a trustmaster T Flight Hotas-X I changed aircraft without problems. Someone can help me?

I have run into an issue when trying to create a new livery for the C185 Tundra, that the tires display as if they're chrome. Originally I thought that I was saving my files incorrectly, but I noticed that ANY livery I install, including the Carenado paint kit livery, results in chrome tires. Everything else on the model displays correctly. The only livery that has not caused me this issue was the default livery that came when installing the C185 Tundra. Greetings, Having issues with night lighting on the C185 Tundra/Bush. Can't get the red nor the white cabin lights to illuminate the cabin at night. Anyone having the same issue? I do have the latest version installed for P3Dv4. Thanks.

The C-185 and C-185 Bush have been released for P3DV4. I have downloaded and installed the C-185 bush. Greg

Are there any plans to release a P3d v.4 C0185? It's not listed on various lists.

The 185 has always been one of my favorites but my problem is the virtual cockpit. I know I've been spoiled by the newer aircraft like the ct206h and the c208b (both in my bush flying fleet) but I was curious if there was any way to redo the interior to make it look higher quality? Like updating the dash and the instrument panel to look like the 206h and also updating the gauges as well as the radio stack.

The night lighting in the Skywagon is quite nice, but a couple bulbs need a change:The ADF is perhaps an old instrument without lighting, but the attitude indicator and the clock should be lit. Is this something that can be patched?

I was able to install my Bush version C-185 into P3D V2.4 and it seems to handle pretty good. Just about everything I have checked out so far works, except the rotating beacon on top of the tail. When I turn on the switch, there is a red reflective flash on the exterior of the plane, but the beacon is not operating. I seem to recall that this was a problem in FSX for some people, but I can't find a fix in the forum for it. Anyone? The other question is about the fuel and pax and baggage loading. In my plane, it is impossible to get the CG at the proper place using the chart in the menu. It looks to be very far to the rear. The plane seems to fly ok, but there should be a…

I cannot find a mod that adds a DME into the virtual cockpit. Can someone help? Thank you

I was able to direct the installer to my P3D v2.4 sim with no problem. Almost everything works fine. Here are the two things I have found that need attention. I have not changed anything in the cfg file. 1. Starting. This may just be me or my PC, but I could not manually start the engine. No matter what combination of events I tried, it would crank, but not start. It would, however, start using the Auto Start feature (Ctrl/E). I then found that after starting it once using the Auto Start method and shutting it down to a cold and dark cockpit, I could then manually start the engine and it would run fine. I could shut it down, leave the sim running for 30 minutes with no a…

Somewhere a while back I read of a small mod to the cfg file of the Bush Tundra model to make it turn sharper on the ground. I now can't find the post again. Does anyone remember this mod? Thanks.

I just purchased and downloaded this product and received a License-Serial Key. Does anyone know where this is entered. Usually the Installation asks for it before the aircraft is complted in FSX but that has not happened here

Hi all. I'd like to switch the prop model on the C185F Amphibian from Carenado. Right now, it uses the three-blade version, like a C182 has. I'd like to switch it to a two-bladed, C172 style prop. How would I go about such a switch?

I purchased the carenado c185 bush for fs9 a few days ago (yes I know this forum is for the fsx version) the bounce fixes on their website fixed the ski and amphibian versions but I am still having trouble with the tundra version and the float version. The float model tends to bounce until it over-stresses the aircraft no matter how soft I land it. And with the tundra model even if I put it down very gently it bounces but not until I have slown down to about 20-40 knots then it starts rapidly bouncing no higher than a few inches and does this until the wheels sink into the ground and it crashes, while with the ski model I can practically slam the plane into the ground and…

I have had this plane for some time now but recently had to re-install it on one of my computers that crashed. After installing some liveries from the sim on my other pc, I found that the rudder on one side was missing the paint for each of the planes. So I went to the Carendo website and ran both the patches which were supposed to fix the issue, one for each version of the plane. However, I'm still having the problem on this computer. Could it be that I need to run one of the optional patches? And if so, is the order important? I know there is probably a simple way around this because it works fine on my laptop.

hey there my fellow simmers!! i love the CarenadoSkywagon, just i don't love that it doesn't have DME. So i came with a workaround with the default Bendix King Radio Stack gauge (2D). This is an alternative to bliksimpie's DME and ADF combined gauge. Just came with this crazy idea and made it happen. Check this example below: To simulate old-school bush flying, i removed the GPS and instead put this DME gauge as panel N°2. *****BACKUP THE PANEL.CFG FIRST! just in case you don't like/goes wrong Replace the [Window01] section of your panel.cfg with this one. I had flown the 185 Float before but I guess never the amphibian until today. For some reason I have a Water Rudder lever AND a Tail Wheel lever on top of each other on the floor. Obviously there is no tail wheel and so that doesn't do anything, but it's over the Water Rudder that I do need to use and finding just the right mouse spot to move it is very difficult. Does anyone know where in the files I should go to eliminate the Tail Wheel lever on this plane?

Hi, I'm having a problem with the tundra version. I have installed Bernt Stolle's excellent FDE and I'm still trying to land the tundra version without bouncing. On those very frequent occasions when I look like a pogo stick going down the runway after the first touch for some reason the tail will sink into the ground up to the elevator stabilizer. I end up seeing even more of the sky than usual but I don't get any crash sound or automatic resetting of the flight. While taxiing and setting still I've never had this to happen. I know there are some adjustments that can be made in the contact points section but I thought that was only for when the plane is setting s…

Hi, I haven't had this plane for very long but its absolutly one of my favorites, especially since as soon as I downloaded it I installed Bernt's modified FDE file. If that wasn't available I probably wouldn't have made the purchase. I was wondering about the CG though. In the tundra version I load the plane as follows Pilot seat 225 pounds Right front 200 pounds Middle row 150 pounds a piece Back row 175 pounds a piece baggage area 44 pounds I realize that this is a very full load, however, I don't have any trouble getting the plane off of the ground, but it does seem very tail heavy. With the trim set at neutral the plane almost immediately stalls. In …

Hi all, The fuel quantity indicators appear to function with the master switches on. I'm assuming they shouldn't, so does anyone know if its possible to correct this somehow? Thanks
