Real Aircraft Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per post. Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Not much here but trying to find the best way to take photos with a real camera in a small cockpit. Here is one of a tall mountain poking out in California. Anyone have a guess?Trying to get artsy at night. Didn't work to well because of a strong headwind and turbulence. We dropped down even further than FL240 to try to get out of it. Long night to say the least. :(

These are a few pictures I've taken in the last couple weeks. I wish I had my real SLR camera but crunched for time and space makes it impractical most times. This is the King Air B200 I fly. This day was clear enough to get lots of mountains in. From left to right Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens.I believe this was around Mammoth, CaliforniaMy other job I work on the ground for the local FBO to counteract sitting on my but in the King Air the other days :) These are some KC-135 tankers that will be based where I work for almost a year. The KC-135 hub cap on the main gearAn EA-6B Prowler that was being ferried from the East Coast to the West Coast because …

I went to do my first plane spotting session today, at London Luton, my closest airport. It's mostly Easy Jet and Ryan Air, but a few other airlines operate there, as well as numerous business jets. Here are some pics I took:These are my first spotting photos, so not up to airliners.net quality, but I'm happy with them so far. I've got a lot to learn about both technique and my gear.Target for tomorrow - Stansted :).Regards,Dave.

Hello everyone,Well, I joined you some time ago, but I actuallty never introduced myself before. So before posting, I just hope I will make some friends so that we can share opinions about planes, hardware, flight simulators, etc. I'm Spanish and I'm 27 years old.The point of this topic is that is a while I'm trying to build my PC for FSX. I want to spend some money for components that deserves it, and to start, I was thinking on the offer (now that is sales time) that I'm posting below. If some of you could advise me for this processor and mother board I'll be happy to read it. The PC will be only for FSX, to be able to install sceneries, adds-on software and as I'm "co…

Hey folks, some other thread actually led me to the idea to show interested people some most commonly found navaids and how they look in real life. You can fly around in the sim too and try to find some, they are all over the place.Being aware this topic might be a bit unusual to deal with I am a little concerned if this is actually of interest to anyone. Anyways, I will take the chance. :blush:Without further ado, let's start with the two most important components of the famous ILS, starting with the localizer. Here we are looking towards the beginning of the runway, you might actually make out the approach lights in the grass. The antenna is aligned with the extended run…

My home happens to be fairly close to a mid-major airport, about 1.5 miles off the threshold and only a few hundred feet off the extended centerline.I honestly think I am one of the only people in the neighborhood who actually ENJOYS living here. (So much for my resale value)Anyway...This puts me in a decent spot for some day-to-day airplane spotting, but today's quarry was special indeed! ~~~~She appears over my neighbor's house... Passing through 400' AGL, I get a great view of her... A two-pace jog to the side, I catch her settling in below the trees landing...

Hooks had a small, but really nice air show to benefit a sick kid named Cooper Knight. Texas Raiders was the main attraction, but there was plenty of other aircraft there, military and civil, to look at as well. Probably the best point, my buddy Stephen got me out centerfield as the Apache did his flyby. Having that thing come 20 feet over my head and 150 mph was quite a rush!

I went spotting at KORD today. Sadly, the security restrictions and local geography do not allow for airfield action shots, but I was able to take some on short final.
