FS2CREW: GENERAL FORUM

Hello guys, Well, simply without writing alot about this. Wouldn't be a great feature for FS2crew to let us choose if we want to which role to take during a flight? The First Officer usually has more work to do than the Captain does, and since FS2Crew simulates Captain duties and PF duties, you sometimes don't do much of work to the aircraft. I really would want to fly as a first officer or PNF for some flights, or for those who aren't ranked as Captains in RW. just a thought..

Hi crew I have asked this question over at the PMDG j41 forum without any luck and its not specific to Fs2crew but maybe some one may know. I have a usb headset that doesn't separate the sound when flying the PMDG j41. The headset works perfect with pmdg737 by separating voices to the set and engine to the speakers but in the pmdg j41 all of the noise comes only through the headset. any body else have this issue? cheers z

Can anyone tell me how to stop the mic from talking to windows when I am using FS2Crew. When I am issuing command in FSX it opens windows over FSX, which is very annoying. Anyone know how to stop this from happening. Many thanks, Jetstream

Bryan, I am so spoiled by your amazing products I can hardly fly these days without the silicone Joe in the flight deck. With this regard, it appears that one very promising FSX product is about to hit the market sometime soon - the DC-9 developed from McPhat studios and Coolsky. From the previews I will not be surprised if they reach the level of PMDG products with this release. Do you have any plans to make FS2Crew for it? Cheers!

Hi, I have the PMDG 747, Jestream 41 button versions. I'm considering buying the voice versions. Question : Should I uninstall the button version before installing the voice version ? Or I could switch from one to another as in the NGX ? Thanks in advance, Regards, Richard Portier

I recently did a re install to clear the SDK error from the website but I see its only the 1.2v Where can I get the latest version? cheers

firstly I want to say that I get the SDK error on every start up since transferring fsx onto a second SSD . secondly ,on start up, Why I am I only seeing a skeletal version of the the flight instruments on the captain side and no instruments at all on the co pilot side? any suggestions appreciated

I always run FSInn on a second computer and with the Voice Control versions you cannot do that as your mic is setup on the client system. Just playing around today I realized you can run FSInn UI on the second computer and run the Control Panel on the main FS Computer with your Mic plugged in to the main computer. FSInn works as per normal and you now have access to the voice control verions of FS2Crew. May help some of you avoid the Control Panel screen on your main FS system during a flight. Mark.

Hi guys, I have read the manual of FS2Crew for NGX and I would like to try it straight from the takeoff just to get familiar with the product and later I will use it from the Cold & Dark. Despite the program seems to work, for instance once I saw the FO positioning the brakes to 3 after I did something, I miss the concept behind which FS2 work. I would like to use the botton version. Let's say I am on the runway ready to take off, what should I do to use FS2 crew ? I 've had FS Crew since day one and haven't used it .I don't post any thing on the forums cause all they tell you is 'Read the manual" ya right, but there's a lot you don't get out of the manuals . I think, for me, the most enjoyable way to fly is to keep involved with all aspects of the flight segments. I don't remember making a flight without Fs2Crew. I utilize both voice and button control versions. Unfortunately, I would like to use VCV more often but I am having some technical problems with my PC. I still find the way to utilize Voice Control . Recently I made some coast to coast flight with VCV, but something was bothering me. . In my return flight, I realized FS2Crew automation isolated me in my cockpit involvement. I've been using fs2crew pmdg737 voice version for a while, this morning after re-installing fsinn and uploading vip aircraft everytime I opened voice control this came up: Windows/System32/Speech/Engines/SR/SRLOC.DLL is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact ur system admin...etc.. FS2Crew was there after the message but voice button was off and every time I hit it this msg came up. Hello Bryan, Long time since last time we talk, first congratulations for the fscrew NGX, excelent work. I wondred Bryan if the next update is posibel to include the "Yaw Damper" to "Runway entry procedure" or " Before takeoff checklist". Also is "Approach Checklist" for the people like me, memory is not the same now :) it whos nice to have the checklist with "ILS frequency" and "Course", or more simple "Frequency and Course", that because like you know we have to do that manualy with NGX and if you forghet you dont catch the ILS :) Well that all for now, All the best to you Bryan Luis Serpa

Hello there, I kindly ask if I can use my beloved fs2crew in VC mode in FSX with my favourite addons, namely the Flight1 ATR72, LVLD763, PMDG 747 and (in a near future) the NGX. I'm talking about button control versions of Fs2Crew. I used to fly with fs2crew in the 2D panels before, but now I'm competely addicted to the VC and I will no longer use the 2D panel. This is mostly a question for Bryan. I have had the distinguised pleasure of being the owner of several FS2Crew packages. My first package was the LevelD 767, and something about this package has really knocked me out, with its different features, and i'm kinda sad these features are missing in other add-on's for example things like calling the operation center, and checking the flight controls with the FO, and asking the FO to seat the cabin. I really miss stuff like that in the never editions, espicially the NGX version. Howcome these were not included? is it an SDK question? Best Regards Lukas Agerskov

Hey there, I bought this addon today (and can say it's absolutely AMAZING!) however I encountered a bug I think. I told the FO to set a heading, however it just kept spinning round 360 degrees. As in, the setting didn't stop changing. I tried commanding different settings but it got caught spinning. Hope this was a one off but thought you'd like to know incase it's something needs looking into :)

Hello: Iam running win 7 64 and have recently bought the voice commander edition for the js-41. problem is, the on button won't stay on even though I have the English (US) speech module installed. I have also tried a trial version of VOXATC and it is telling me to switch to English(US) even though, once again that module is installed. The mic works and I am able to use window voice commands without a problem, so Windows is hearing me but not FSX. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. (I have EZDOK and TRACK IR installed but no other speech programs that might get in the way). Lon Duncombe

Hello, Recently purchased the FS2Crew for the NGX. Really loving it. I saw that there was also a voice control pack for the PMDG JS4100. I was wondering if and how this blends in with the ngx pack: is it installed next to it ? is there an impact since you are using a newer version of voice control for the NGX and JS4100 How about the 747 pack ?
