The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

...and here's the cause of all that low level stuff............ Wairakei and the geothermal springs. Great animation There's Taupo, the lake and field just through the cloud just left of the nose Loads of folk enjoying the lake and the fields crystal clear. Nothing about so a long lazy turn onto finals Parked up by the tower. Big Skydiving facility behind the fuel pumps over there. Terminus is the other end of the apron but a shuttle to the lake sounds good? Geoff

Continuing my fantasy tour I've hitched a ride in a Caravan to Taupo. Cloud permitting we'll be cruising at 8000' on a simple dog leg that will take us out to the Firth of Thames and then straight to Taupo. Leaving Ardmore Climbing turn with Takanini coming into view On over Takanini and Papakura.... Setting my dog leg course from 4000' overhead the field. The Mangatangi reservoir down there and beyond the hills the Firth of Thames Looking back we see the Crosseys, Wairoa and Upper Mangatawhiri reservoirs... good VFR reference but not names for a flaky RT? The Firth of Thames and the East Coast Road with Kaiaua and Miranda e…

To continue my fantasy journey of ORBX NZNI.... Well after a night in Auckland wher my new found Ag pilot friend introduced me to his rich "Warbird" owning friend .....I ventured North... in his restored Strikemaster. As a Brit I of course knew that these were the basic trainers for RAF pilot "back in the day". What PPL wouldn't give his right arm for a flight ....but not perhaps his breakfast? Leaving Whenuapai (NZWP) we headed North ...and all was well until he decided to show me why this was such a great trainer... ..from high G aerobatics he decided, not noticing the death grey I'd turned, to show me how we…

Looks like the 4:30 start was on the button... Oh looking good.. Great so glad we did that, now lets head for the coast There's New Plymouth so we'll skirt the zone and head North Incredible how the colours change as the Sun gets above the haze Looks like Mokau down there so we need to look for Taharoa Hmm there it is. I've only managed one trip down to the Canary Islands this year and was quite looking forward to this trip. So with just a touch over twenty tonnes of fuel loaded, doors closed and everybody strapped in we had a short wait for taxi clearance. Pushback and ready to start the taxi checklist - a few heavies in the background on Pier C of Terminal 1 including Emirates A380. It is a short taxi down to runway 5R down pass the Aviation Viewing Park. Cleared for takeoff and rotating at around 145kts. (Be nice to be able to add a little cabin window around this view!) The weather is clear most of the way south with Lanzarote reporting a 17kts win…

I've had CHPRO for a long time and never really got into it - it is full of gaps and I could never find the time to look for suitable airport sceneries to add to it. Now Beat Schaffner has released a number of military bases (http://www.isra.ch/ and some even go inside the mountain!) Thought I'd see what I could see, on a little "Inner Swiss" tour. Distances are short, so a rotorwing is fine - in fact it's a wonderful opportunity to try some of the great freeware helos available. Flying slow also gives the photoreal a chance to load completely. The files are big, but I don't know if they affect loading until you click them, so here goes. There will be 2 batc…

Well Raglan looks OK on the charts and the fuels OK. Just hope we're not too early for breakfast? Well you can't miss it on that headland.. Even without any markings. Looking good and no wind to speak of. Well we made breakfast but damaged the tailwheel in the taxi back to the bridge. I see on Google Earth there's some home grown machinery operating out of here. Maybe I can cadge a lift?
