The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

This area, just to the east of Albany, NY, is a wonderful area of farmland, rolling hills, and country roads. I chose to cruise above it in Carenado's 337 flying between 3500 and 4500 feet. Hope you enjoy! John

Hi folks, this is the 2nd of my "series" of visual diaries of my flights in the PMDG NGX, flying real world routes. For this thread, I am flying a 737-700 as UAL1057 for a short hop between KBOS and KEWR, a 1 hour flight. Chocks off time was 12:58PM, and Chocks on at KEWR was 02:41PM. SID is PATSS, using runway 22R, cruise altitude was only 14000ft, and the STAR was FLOSI2. At Gate A5, loading baggage and passengers Taxi out after push back, notice the Air Canada Express CRJ (Formerly Air Canada Jazz livery) Progressing down the taxiway on my way to runway 22R, with a US Airways EMB-190 on climb out Holding to allow a Japan Airlines 787 to ge…

I love to play with the cloud settings in FSX. For these shots I laid down a layer of stratus just above ground level, with some cumulus above, and some cirrus around FL350. It makes for a beautiful flight, just before sunset. Enjoy! John

Video Captains: Please see PC comp specs at right... Why is it that I get incredible frame rates and smoothness while flying but when using "instant reply," every view but "tower" is jerky.. and I mean seriously jerky with digitized sound tearing and a back and forth swaying? Desperate to fix... what do you think? More info: Framerates set to unlimited At Altitude frame rates at very high settings: 150+ at altitude and 40 to 60 near the ground at harsh airports On the ground FPS 30 plus at all airports Any ideas? Jeff PS... I use Vegas 12 HD for editing and FRAPS not that that matters at the moment. This began when I went to the power…

Haven't flown this one in a while. Actually, I STILL haven't flown it yet, as I only installed it onto this computer just now and don't have time to fly it around right now. So here's a quick one.

I've moved to England. Awesome place. (My sincere apologies to everyone whom I offended when I said it was BORING...!). I also switched to summer: in PNW spring was the best looking season but in England spring has some awful trees and I get a bit tired of all those yellow fields... so summer it is from now on. BTW Since England is rather flat, I am looking forward to doing some VOR flying again, something that was a bit hard to do in the mountains of NA... Anyone knows a site where I can find information for triangulation for every airport in England? Liverpool after take off. On the opposite side of the river. Happily cruising along. I just dow…
