The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

After several flights in and out of Idaho ranches during the day we're in to Mountain Home ID U76 for the night. Not that you can see much, but Orbx scenery, AS2012 and the Britten-Norman BN2 Islander.

Tonight I decided to dust off Instant Scenery a powerful little tool from Flight 1 that let's you quickly and painlessly insert scenery into FSX. Rather than enhance existing airfields, I literally slewed my aircraft to a random field near the small town of Harlowton (Wheatland County) in Montana (part of the Orbx CRM scenery), and just start building from scratch! After 1 hour, I had created by new home..... "Dave's Place" It has no icao code, but as long as the weather is good I can find it by flying 6.5nm due south from KHWQ, close to Baxters Airstrip (MT82). Anyway, here are the pics. All kinds of talk last night and today about this "Derecho" that supposed to smack us in the midwest and then move east. The radar started looking nasty near Chicago awhile ago, so what better way to see what the buzz is about than a flight from KGYY-KDSM (Gary/Chicago-Des Moines). It seems easy with lightning flashing all the time to get some cool snaps of a strike, but I guess I'm slow on the trigger lol. Oh well some neat looking skies anyways as I shot off on a heading of 300 degrees right into the "mess". The trusty JetBlue flight was a rough, but fun one. Did I mention I like cumulonimbus clouds

  10. So I was flying along at FL350 from KSLC headed to KATL and I saw it! I have discovered the Barad-dûr in FSX. Clearly Sauron is attempting to take over the FSX universe! I wonder if the dragon thing he rides will show up on TCAS? haha! Just in case it doesn't watch out guys.

This is a still captured from a youtube video of a Tileproxy flight in the Falcon UL over the Napa Valley If you're interested in seeing the whole video, it is found in the thread link below. It's not too fancy, and some textures are blurred a bit since FRAPS can bog down the cpu, and I slowed the fps to 22 in FRAPs. But it does show off Tileproxy in motion, and the Falcon Ultralight. Enjoy the screenshot and video! http://forum.avsim.net/topic/410564-short-video-falcon-ultralight-over-napa-valley/ John
