The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Hi friends, after a rather lengthy absence due to FSX burnout, I am starting to get back into my old routine of replicating real world NG flights, and sharing the details of the flight experience with you all via screenshots. You may remember some earlier entries by me, with the United NG's. I have now changed things up, going with Alaska Airlines operations for a change of scenery. A little backstory here, I was working in my yard a few weeks back, and watched an Alaska 737-800 pass over my house in a tight turn to downwind on it's approach to my local airport, KPHL Philadelphia International Airport. Alaska Airlines is a fairly new operator here, so it was qui…

There have been a couple threads I've participated in lately and I wanted to post these screen shots to show my position on these subjects. Used is Fsx with sim savvy photoscenery, xplane with generic. The first one was "do you use a gps when conducting vfr flight"? In my neck of the woods I would answer yes... The airspace in San Diego is very complex-even in the outskirts where todays sim flight is. But beyond that-there are those pesky tfr's that pop up all the time-and for me that means an xm feed or adds b also required. Luckily in my plane we had all covered-an ifr certified panel mounted gps, a portable mounted garmin with xm weather, and an ipad with wingx (…

Been a loooong time since I've posted up in the SS forum. Testing my new Nvidia GTX660. Had been using an AMD R6670 Core Edition. No contest as the AMD was the bottleneck in my system... This computer is based on a Gateway DX 4860 that BestBuy was practically giving away last fall. Quad Core I5-2320 CPU @ 3.00 ghz EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Super Clocked w/ 2 gigs DDR5 8 gigs RAM Corsair GS700 PS 33' Vizio flat screen HD TV Even though this was a budget build I thought it should perform better and I knew the AMD was probably the cause. The AMD also struggled badly with clouds. BestBuy has the GTX 660 for $209.00 so I grabbed one. Best upgrade I've ever mad…
