The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. All I can type, is WOW..and wow.... P3D v3.2.3 -------------------------------------------------------------------- You pilot....no A.I. Dawn departure.... The: Norwegian Pearl I guess it is pretty obvious to all fellow AVSIM friends, that I totally enjoy P3D's water features, as well as the primary usage for flight simulation. The aquatic aspect of both P3D and FSX DX10 is so well done, that pretty much, you will find me easily cruising ON the water, as well as flying over it... Cheers, and good flights, as well as the occasional cruise below the wings....

These are some raw shots saved by X-Plane 10.50b6 in 900p. Focus is on improved HDR lighting, new autogen, standard airports, new optional static aircraft and the quality of the standard scenery (no add-ons except for HD Mesh V3). Please note that all shots were taken during locked 30FPS output. Clouds and atmosphere rendering by SkyMaxx 3.2.1 (incl. RWC) and Maxx FX 1.0 (custom settings). No RTH. Real world traffic by World Traffic 2.1 and FlightTable. Cheers! San Diego, CA. Scattered cumulus around Atlanta. More fluff here. Misty twilight over Brooklyn, NY. Leaving Frankfurt…

Shots of the Carenado Navajo around NYC area and Landing at LaGuardia. Plus a few older bonus shots, but forgot where I took them. I had a tough time keeping the camera straight while trying to take these shots. It kept turning to the left and was driving me crazy! Turned out to be a lone rice krispy wedged between the arrow keys on my keyboard! Serves my right for eating breakfast in front of the computer. (These are in X-plane 10 beta 6 with Drzewiecki Design Manhattan Scenery and some G2XPl generated satellite scenery and a few other misc addons.) Rob

  13. howdy here are some shots of experimenting with some of the settings in ASCA and AS2016. this is an air hauler2 flight from CYSQ to my airline base at PAJN. the settings are 1024DXT, cirrus and cloud structures enabled only.. rex soft cloud for the clouds . sky texture is gabriel roduigez enb texture from avism library (it is my favorite at sunset, it's a little too blue in these shots because i do not ahve enb setup or enabled on here, i was mainly testing if ASCA would leave the sky textures as is..) cheers, -andy crosby

As usual, engine is Outerra. It's been a while since I haven't posted here. A few days ago, user Langdon posted a plugin in Outerra's forums. Using the engine API, this little tool downloads METAR data from the NOAA for the entire world as the engine loads. Then, it grabs the three closest stations from player position and interpolates values to change weather and clouds properties. It's important to note a few things: first, it's not REX. It's a very basic plugin. Second, Outerra's clouds are still in a very early state, and most importantly there could be only one layer of clouds currently. Yet, it's a really interesting thing, providing a lot more variety in the worl…

  17. Hey guys So, I've been moving some sliders and trying more shaders and I feel quite satisfied with the new PC  After that I decided to try with another flight, this time with Avianca Peru Flight 132 from Lima to Bogota. Hope you guys like them! So, this time we'll use an Avianca Peru A320 disguised as Taca (With so many Airline Holdings in South America is really quite confusing at the moment ) Taxiing to Runway 15 Up and away! To FL330 Approaching El Dorado's Runway 13R After touchdown. Quite a busy airport today And that's it! Thanks for watching guys!

North Wales using AS2016 real time weather in combination with REX4 cloud textures and PTA. It looked very good (and even better in motion) with some nice variations and layering (with some oddness at times) in the skyscape. Sadly at around £60 GBP I don't think I'll be using it once my seven days are up. Way - way - way too expensive Hi-Fi
