The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. Here's a few initial shots around Omaha NE/Offutt AFB with some of the new night lighting. Also using ASN16/ASCA, Spotlight for cockpit lighting, and Manfred Jahn's C-47 beta.

  3. I'm not much of a screenshot taker so forgive me for any ugliness, but I thought some would want to see the night lighting difference. These are from P3D just north of KOJC. Using Vector and openLC NA. I didn't change a thing between shots other than installing openLC NA.

ORBX payware airports such as Telluride mix actually quite well with other photo-scenery, as long as you place the other photo-scenery below the ORBX entries Leaving Telluride Here one can see the transition from the Telluride scenery to a similarly detailed photo-scenery (this one is from Vero FS) Thanks for viewing

I got some good flights in the weekend. I flew both of my FSE aircraft back to the PilotEdge network area. I'm going to start conducting all of my FSE flight on PE, or at least most. I got surprised a few times by low lying haze and unexpected IMC conditions. Made for a few exciting approaches down to minimums, one actually a bit below.

  7. Well, finally I have the time to fly again! At least for the next few weeks... So I took the PMDG's 777 for a spin. Weather was provided by ASN -- and it was kind of bad at EDDS. As you can see, I arrived... well... full of energy... and had to go around. Second approach was successful. Hope you guys like it. Taxi... Right after take-off. LGAV right there... The sun begins to set... People must be having a really nice day down there... Sky is almost clear. Not for long... Descent. ...and rain. …

  12. Short hop in the PC12 at sunset into Jackson Hole. Climbing out of Salt Lake. Sun starting to fall behind the horizon. Getting into the mountains, sun continuing to set. Last little bits of sun setting behind the mountains. The stealth PC12 almost overhead KJAC for the ILS outbound. Decending into the valley for the ILS inbound. And lined up on the ILS inbound to KJAC just after sunset.
