The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Bone stock with no addons. Just random grabs for a quick flight out over the water and back with the 172. I was getting about 40FPS steady here ([email protected] + 970GTX) if anyone is wondering.

SteveFX has made a FSX cloud shadow add-on for his excellent DX10 Fixer which breaths in a little new life into this 10 year old sim. In case you've been wondering what its all about, here's a few shots of its effect. Sure, other sims can do this (possibly better), but for us die-hards... (please click in each to review its full glory) Well, not exactly cloud shadows, but definitely a beauty queen: Thanks for viewing!

Coming to an iFly store near you soon. And a PMDG store as soon as they give us the plane (or the paintkit). She's been in service a while working very hard! ...and it shows thru the extra dirt and wear I painted on her. Some dirt on the tail....(may out a little more on under the stabilizer and near the APU exhaust)

Howdy! Yesterday, I flew from LOWL to EDDN, and I had some very nice (rather nasty) weather, with low overcast layers and gusting winds, on this route. Because of that, and the good ATC coverage, I decided, to not shut the a/c down after arriving at EDDN, but to fly another short leg to EDDK. I did these flights in the morning hours of Dec, 21st (sim time), with xEnviro 1.5 and in X-Plane 10.51. A/C is the IXEG B733, scenery is ortho photo, JustSim LOWL, Freeware EDDN and EDDK:

Hi there! Here are a few pics, taken from the same base pattern (flown @ 9000ft with sim time set to 14:30 local on the 19th of December) at EDDK in a B738. Sims are XP 10.51 (with SMPv4, RWC 1.1, FSGRW & xEnviro 1.04) and P3Dv3 (with AS16 and ASCA SP1 open beta) The METAR for the flight (real weather in all three cases) was: EDDK 191920Z 15013KT 9999 BKN020 03/M01 Q1027 NOSIG SMPv4 with RWC 1.1 and FSGRW: xEnviro 1.04: AS16 & ASCA (SP1 open beta in P3Dv3):

From LOWI to EDDS in the IXEG B733. Although the weather at the departure and arrival airport has been CAVOK, I had some interesting weather along the route, and xEnviro also took care of the realtistc look of the skies and the atmosphere. And with v 1.05 f xEnviro, the ground shadows are working, and the sharp and flickering edges of haze and coulds on hills and mountains are gone! And the result is absolutely beautiful!
