The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I thought it was a cute and interesting name for a title, hehe. Anyway....brushes down for a bit...I'm gonna take this beauty on a real flight across the pond! Pulled the actual GTI flight off Flightaware, going from Hahn to Fort Bliss as GTI14979 Finished the preflight walk-around....getting ready to climb the stairs and say goodbye to German soil. Looking down that long fuse, checking the tops of the wings and generally just admiring the beautiful Queen. That's my seat way up there in the cockpit! You can see some of the details I put into the paint (Dirt on the doors, esp. on the upper door...where you see those streaks on practically every 747! …

It's been a long time since I did a review for Avsim, but that is about to change. I'm currently in the process of doing an Avsim review of the latest shiny new jet fighter from Just Flight - their very pretty Hawker Hunter - so look out for that soon, but in the meantime, here's a few pics of it:

Spent it beating up the North Atlantic in my new Sea Harrier - guests of USS Nimitz. Plenty of VTOL's and non Cat T/O's. Lots of shots. I'll post in the Screenshot section soon. This is as much fun as I've ever had in FSX - in 15 years or so! - I was whooping out loud. The Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 are going to gather dust. This one sums it up. Thank you Microsoft. Thank you this community - and thank you Jarvier for the Carrier Fleet, Steve for your beautiful DX10 Fixer, and Nick for your FSX_Bible and Razbam for the wonderful Sea Harrier and countless others who all go to help make our hobby satisfy our passion for flight.

Flying the QOTSII and happen to get a nice visit from a BA 744 (AI) for parallel approach. Doesn't happen often for me, so it was nice to see, even though the BA was way too fast on final, lol

This is why I am making the switch from P3D! Other than $40 for the A350 all the scenery is free. The Ortho package can be downloaded here... http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/36327-us-orthophotos/ The US West "Real Life" autogen can be downloaded here... http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/36109-us-west-real-life/ *** I know the wheels are down etc... I was in slew mode and couldn't get them to go up. I didn't have much time to redo it all.

I hope you enjoy these shots. I've seen these views in real life too, and I really think XP11 and Ortho4XP is a match made in heaven. I'm trying some new art controls presets too. I still think things are a little too blue but maybe I'm just used to MSFS from all the years hehe. I've just departed KDLH NNW towards Hibbing, MN KHIB in the recently completed Cirrus Vision Jet. I've climbed to 10,500 ft as it makes a really nice point to do some picture taking from. You can see the taconite ore mining (it's a low grade iron ore product) in progress around Hibbing and Eveleth, MN KEVM. After that I head back to Duluth and climb VFR to 17,500 ft and you can see the S…
