Each utility will contain documentation. Read it to learn how they are used. I am wondering if anyone kept a copy of Asrux Gtopo30 converter. a little program that transformed .Dem files to .Ras files I am not having any luck with bin2ras for reasons I cannot fully understand and I want to be able to produce a good working copy of a .ras for the area I am working on. I have yet another question: Does anyone know where the aircraft options (trim step and exponential) are stored? I'm thinking they have to be stored in the aircraft pod file. I cannot for the life of me find them though. I understand that HST files store this info, but they are only generated after the settings are changed. The inital settings have to be stored somewhere.... Robert W

Hello, I have been using ROTW's excellent TB-10. My only pet peave is that the spinning propeller as seen from inside the cockpit. It is too noticeable IMHO. From my real life experience, the propeller in flight is barely noticeable, yet with this TB10 it can really block the view sometimes. Does anyone know of a way to remove the spinning propeller as soon from inside the cockpit? I don't of course, want to remove it as viewed from outside. Robert W

G'day all,I've been sitting on the release of a model for about 2 months. :-( I've completely rebuilt the files 3 times but I can't resolve the repair to 80,000 ft issue. The easiest solution to this is a reboot of Fly! II ; it may also be possible to go into slew mode and get back to earth quickly. Trying to fly back down and it's a 20 minute flight !!!! This only follows a repair after a crash into the earth.I suspect it may have something to do with the conversion of a tricycle undercarriage aircraft into a tail dragger, but I've done extensive fiddling with the *.whl file, all to no avail. :-mad Crash into the water, hangar, aircraft, tree or any other model and t…

G'day all, This aircraft doesn't have a gram/or ounce (whichever unit appeals) of cabon graphite/Kevlar/epoxy in it's construction. All formed plywood fuselage/wings with the empenage ply structure/fabric covered. Tandem high performance sailplane.I was wondering if anyone would be interested in making a very simple panel for the aircraft. G'day all,Im all my work for Fly! II I have always used *.bmp files as the working file and then converted to either *.pbm or *.pbg files as needed by Fly! II.My question is that sometimes I see that other people use *.raw files and I am wondering what is the advantage of using raw files???Any graphic guru's able to shed light as to why?Cheers,Roger

Could direct me to a source(s) for a complete FLY II program that includes corrected maps, aircraft, etc. I have Fly II Version 2.5.240 and have attempted updates and corrections for the AVSIM library with only modest success. I wish I could find a CD that has all the corrections, updates, bug-fixes, and a complete manual, etc. that I could install on my computer (XP OS).Yes, I have seen the latest version of MSFS - which in my opinion- lacks the realism of FLY II, and requires very stringent hardware and graphics processing capabilities.Perhaps someday, someone with deep pockets will acquire the FLY franchise, and give as FLY III? I am trying to substitute the electronic HSI from the Peregrine/F16 in place of the existing HSI in the Sahara. I believe I have inserted the appropriate lines of code in the MALI0.PNL and TRI1.amp files, but the elec.HSI display is not appearing. Can someone who has worked with this sort of thing tell me if there is another file I should be amending, or could check my code to see if I am missing a line?Thanks,Brian.

Hello everybody,I try to make a flyable heli usebable for AI.Therefore, i was told, you have to take an aircraft.cfg file from a helicopter wich flys, remove the light and the contact points entries and repace them with the entries of the heli you want to change into an AI heli. You also have to change the sim file. It worked with one of the helis but an other one apaered half in and hald obove the ground.Does anyone know witch parameter in wicht file (air or aircraft) i have to change?Regards,Frans Fransen,Rotterdam, The Netherlands

I downloaded the newest Squawkbox from simvol. I logged on to VATSIM and parked at KORD. I set the multiplayer level to 5 miles and when the first aircraft loads, the program and computer freeze. I have to reboot the computer. When I fly with multiplayer at none, all works fine, except no voice but I can't see other aircraft which makes being at busy airports impossible. I use Fly 2 off a USB 2G drive since I use several computers. The main one now is an HP laptop.Any thoughts about what I may be doing wrong or have set up incorrectly?Tom PetersonFargo, ND

I have been using Fly 2 for about 6 years on an iMac Blue slot loader. But since many of the computers I use at school are Windows, I got a copy about a year ago. I have it on a USB flash drive so I can use it on any computer that is avaiable when I have time for a flight. When I was flying in the 70's, I had a kneeboard that I wrote out my plan with all the navaids and traffic patterns so I was prepared for all possible situations. I like to do that now, but I don't like taking all the papers around and sometimes if I pause the flight and go back to the text file, the flight locks up and I have to end. G'day all,Can anyone please tell me if the sounds in Fly! II are mono or stereo, - or do either formats work?I've just purchased a camera that also has a video mode and records sound in stereo. It can also work discretely as a sound recorder only and can record continuously as long as I like. (within memory limits)The sound is saved as a WAVE format file.Can this be used for Fly!
