  1. They really nailed the feeling of inertia somehow. The plane feels really nice both on the ground and in the air.
  2. Rwc makes transitions into weather further out smooth. Fsgrw is like asn. Really 2 different products fsgrw and rwc. Fsgrw feeds weather and can do so static or dynamic. Not sure if you can set certain weather (not at pc atm) but that can be done in xp menu also.
  3. Ssssshhhhh! They're watching!
  4. Not at this time as I understand. Same with IVAO on X plane. A far cry from what we get in fsx/p3d, big immersion killer along with taxiing planes that hover. X-csl models don't help. Edit: pilot edge seems to have pretty good models, but paid and small region...
  5. side note: ') you might want to change/ check some of the privacy settings unless you don't mind MS receiving a full keylog among other things from you. Google anti spybot -there is no spoon
  6. Ever since i started flying pitch / power combinations (specially on manual landing) the whole ride became much smoother. (For the 733 mind! But differs not much) takeoff with v2 in mcp set. Vr lift to 15 then on to ca.18 degs nose up. With toga speeds stays around v2 that way. 400ft agl lnav or other roll mode. At accel height dial up 220 ias in mcp or other >flap up spd. Pitch down to 10deg and check mcp speed mode / vnav active. Raise flaps per schedule. I use 3000ft as accel alti so can do my contacting atc in the bit where i only have to focus on pitch. Only after reaching the mcp speed at 10deg pitch i start to follow the vnav part of the fd, as smoothly as possible. (Irl large pitch movements tend to increase vomit tendencies ) Hth
  7. Not too many good reviews of this product. Lots of negative ones though. Probably better to stay away from it. /2ct
  8. If you start normally with a non idiotic pitch up. (Specially the first 150 ft/50m), a cable break is usually a non event. Above 300ft/100m you can make a 360 and land, below you land straight. During winch launch you ought to have normal / high flying speed. You just need to nose down quickly after cable break/ winch failure. Accidents mostly occur in combination with a too steep start and cable break below 300ft/100m. Compounded sometimes by slow reaction.
  9. Complaints can be useful for prospective buyers imho, as is praise.
  10. If you do short to medium hops a 737 would make more sense imho.
  11. Indeed, party pooper! With this beta I've noticed molten gold seeping out of my usb port, booyah!
  12. spot the ixeg rest is static AC. Really nice!
  13. works like a charm. only atm i seem to be getting a lot more consistent weather with the default stuff instead of smp + rwc. Smooth as baby's bottom also
  14. Doesnt work with hdr. It is a know issue that no one seems to care about.
  15. i just use r click and move then let r click go, maybe that works better?
  16. Also exclude xplane from active virus scanning. (I fly with av off)
  17. And suppose you updated to a beta, but want to go back to the latest non beta. Just run the installer again, untick beta and voila. Nothing like the complete reinstall horror of some other sims.
  18. IMHO xplane is the only civillian sim to date where you can mistake screenshots for real photo's . I wonder what lays ahead now the user base is growing.
  19. Pilottube hd on youtube has some nice ones
  20. Frames for me on that flight between 30 and 60. At 4k res with a 980ti and 4790k. It is very easy on the frames
  21. Vnav is for pussies . Raw data 4 evah.
