I will try this when I am at home after holiday. But surely if I want to select an Arrival, especially with an aircraft of PMDG quality... it should work? No? And not freeze up... And I import the route into the CDU/FMC before inputting SIDS/STARS into the system. I just find it really odd that other people have found the same issue, but PMDG can't seem to find the issue.

Hi Guys, Has anyone found a solution for this at all?? I've experienced this ages ago and now switching from FSX to FSX: Steam Edition.. It's happened again. I've used PFPX to export the route to the PMDG folder and using AIRAC 1604 but as soon as I select the VCN8 arrival into KPHL from EGLL, the FMC Freezes up. Would really appreciate some help. am happy to submit a support ticket if needed. Tristan

Hey Guys, I finally finished my 14 ATPL Exams today and passed them all so I want to start getting back into the T7 after quite a while away from it due to studying. So I did some normal SID Departures today out of LGW and I couldn't help but notice that once the aircraft rotates, it will keep it's pitch for a while and then the aircraft seems to automatically pitch up slightly more say at 100-200 feet? My question is, why does this do that? I then struggled to hold a speed as in V2+15 > V2+25 it was more like V2+35, I was using a normal load with a ZFW of 177,600kgs and 71,900kgs of fuel giving a TOW of 249.5kgs. Using Flap 5 off 08R I had a VR at around 150 kts. I just can't get my head around the Trim Ref Speed and I WANT to get my head around it, it just seems that I am flying it probably a little out of control at the moment :( It's mainly the pitch up just after takeoff though. Hello everyone, I very rarely post in this forum these days due to all my ATPL studies, but I've just finished watching the Hour long Flight Sim discussion at Flightsim Con and the amazing, excellent, exciting presentation/keynote by PMDG! Literally insane, once that place is open up, I think a trip to the States is in order in a few years time! I just want to briefly say something very important and personal to me towards PMDG, which kind of echoes what Robert said. I just want to thank YOU, the community, PMDG, the developers, fans, support staff, youtubers, forum posters etc for bringing me into the world of flight sim. I started off with FS2002 years ago, and found a love with it to then start training for my PPL and now onwards into my ATPL Studies. It's been an insane journey and it's only beginning.. It's totally right what Robert said, Flightsim is a major factor for some people, like myself, which makes that person want to get into aviation as a career. So, what I am trying to say is, PMDG and everyone, thank you so much. I probably wouldn't be here today without that first flight on my Flightsim! Hi Guys, I've just moved to the 'DX10 Preview' and using Steve's DX10 Fixer.. It seems that my 777 effects are no longer working, I've reinstalled the effects and everything but nothing is working and my effects have gone :( Is there any issues with DX10 and this effect package at all? Hi guys, I don't normally if at all post in the Avsim forums, I do mainly come onto to just read that's all. But I am that annoyed at my system today that I deem it necessary to come on here, post and try and get to the bottom of the problem I am, now, seeing more of. Today, day off from work, I planned I would fly Emirates 19 in full real time, from Dubai (Fly Tampa Scenery) to Manchester (UK2000) using the fantastic PMDG 777-300ER. Flight went absolutely fantastic, flying online using IVAO at the crowded skies event (Which was unusually quiet over the UK..) and just before descent, FSX froze and produced a Windows 7 fatal error message asking me that I could/should restart FSX. You can I am sure appreciate my frustration after 7:15 hours of flying in perfect conditions, everything monitored and enjoyed, looking forward to bringing a heavy 777-300ER into Manchester at night. What really is causing this? I had no error codes, nothing.. So what add-ons was I using? Fly Tampa Dubai Orbx Global and Orbx England UK 2000 manchester VFR London X London Heathrow Xtreme UK2000 Birmingham Active Sky Next - REX Textures PMDG 777-300ER IVAO Run on one single monitor. Now, looking at that it does seem a little silly having VFR London X on and London Heathrow Xtreme, yes I could've turned that straight off before I even started the flight. Earlier this week I had TWO BSOD's. One when not using FSX and the other, same situation flying from Dubai to Manila in the middle cruise portion of idle flight. On one of my BSOD occurrences, I noticed it said memory_management to which I researched and this pointed to the RAM needing to be changed? Not sure what error message was produced on the other BSOD occurrence, as I turned it off straight away. So my computer is under my desk in my room and is now coming up to 5 years old, yes I was surprised myself. And the system is as follows: Case: ATX Tower with Corsair 750w PSU Motherboard: MSI X58 PRO-E CPU: Intel i7 940 Quad Core @ 2.93Ghz Hard Disk: Samsung 1TB 32Mb Cache Graphics Card: NVidia 285 GTX 1Gb DDR3 Memory: Corsair 12Gb Tri Channel 1600Mhz DVD Drive: 22x DVD Re-Writer Dual Layer SATA Sound: Creative Audigy Extreme Audio X-Fi O/S: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit I'd really love some advice as to why, the flight performs excellently throughout, until the last portion of the flight, as is the case today! To put it in perspective over a month ago I flew EGLL-RKSI and that was flawless, great flight same kind of scenery. I would really appreciate your advice! Maybe, it's time to change the computer as a whole! I know FSX, My FSX is highly tuned to run at as high as performance as possible and I do make sacrifices.. Chad, I took the 77W up for a spin over Zurich today doing two approaches both on the ILS 16. Regardless of the airport and approach from today, I too HAVE Noticed the pitch up on A/P Disconnect. When I am hand-flying the approach and fully take my hands off the controls or put controls back to centre when I've trimmed it all out and it's stable, it will pitch down. Is this due to the Trim Reference Speed at all?? Definitely following this topic... Thanks for bringing this up

Thankyou for that Paul, only just getting round to it this evening. I have come across one little snag, with nVidia Inspector. It won't accept my -0.500 input for the LOD bias..I am putting it in the right section Just when I put it in and press apply changes it goes back to 0..

Hi Paul, I do wonder if you can help me out I've been playing around with your guide and Steve's DX10 Fixer this evening and have had both positive and some 'ok/negative' results. The sim is great however some performance is not great, as much as down to 9-7FPS.. Now this is happening mainly with the PMDG 777 testing at UK2000 Heathrow. I am using Orbx Scenery too. I was hoping for some more FPS than this... Here is my FSX.cfg and some Nvidia Inspector screenshots. I am using 2x AA on Steve's DX10 Fixer. I do appreciate your help... It's ok how it is but if I can just eek out a few more FPS I will be more than happy! Yep, saw it flying back to LHR from Shannon on Flightradar24 yesterday as I was flying the 744 from LHR-MIA and also heard it on Shanwick radio.
