Active Sky Cloud Art for FSX & P3D - Released!
Why don't you just try it and see for yourself? It's not like you have to reinstall P3D...

P3D v3: The new Aerosoft Berlin Tegel looks amazing!
If only they had added moving jetways in P3D (be it SODE or at least CTRL+J) instead of beating that dead horse of AES...

Brighter terrain, darker cloud shadows - DONE!
I am very grateful for this thread and the work... Is it possible to single out the tweaks for the blue haze? I used the files in the pack, but it's way too dark for me (e.g. the photoreal ground at airports becomes al most pitch black and the terminals are barely visible when I turn on simobjects receive shadows), so I would like to start with the original files and gradually take it from there. Also, it would make things a lot easier if the first post was updated with findings from the posts that came afterwards. I am not too lazy to browse though them all, but I easily get confused.

Thanks guys... I will wait a tad longer then

Brighter terrain, darker cloud shadows - DONE!
Hey! I've been following this thread, but now I am kind of lost... Where can I get the latest files? The Dropbox link shows as being 9 days old, so what changes does it include that were talked about in the last 4 pages? Rich keeps saying the mod is not quite finalised, but what parts? Do the files provided in the dropbox link still require autogen shadows to be enabled? What I am interested in are scattering, darker cloud shadows, and the changed sky textures... Cheers

Anyone come back to FSX after trying P3D?
I am very pleased with 3.2, but was also very pleased with 3.1 already. VAS management is muuuuch improved compared to 2.4 or 2.5. I have not had to worry about it again, even when flying with heavy iron between major airports and with pretty high settings where I would always have the fear of an OOM in the back of my mind when flying with 2.5, I remember. It is also more fluid now, which really helps with immersing you when you don't have to think about performance or crashes when flying. But not all my settings are the highest and they don't have to. E.g. I run my P3D with water settings on low and I think it still looks stunning. Hope this helps.

Gregg, if you courageous enough to do the installation, you will be very pleased with 3.2 compared to 2.4...

Volumetric Fog in V3.2 in combo with REX TD
The one where you responded that you had a similar problem and the 2 that you created yourself (including this one). I think I will let look for them yourself

And why open a new thread? This is the 3rd one now about this issue...

Prepar3D v3.2 is out
So how are P3D 3.2 users supposed to use Simstarter at the moment when NG is not out yet? Cheers

Anyone come back to FSX after trying P3D?
Keep in mind that people tend to voice their problems more than when everything works well. The same applies to the FSX forum... Definitely not everybody using P3D has rocket ship hardware.

Anyone come back to FSX after trying P3D?
Never in a million years would I go back to FSX. :Shame On You: P3D has turned out to be the dream sim for me. Best performance I have ever had in my 15 years+ flight sim experience and visuals that I would never want to give up again. Some might say that visuals are not important only FPS count, well, for me, it's about how much immersion a simulation can give you and P3D does immerse me like never before. And... every time LM comes out with a new version, it's just the icing on the cake and I get to be excited like child again. That said, I understand that some people want to stick to their running system if they're happy with it. Cheers And P.S./BTW: I don't have a super dooper (reindeer pooper ) card. Just a 770 4GB and it does a very good job.

FSLabs Concorde Released
Well, Andrew, if you're basically admitting that you are not able, with this price to cover your fixed costs (let alone variable ones), then you should not say that Carlo is writing "complete nonsense". There is also a difference between value and cost. It is ultimately your business decisions, but don't take the high road here...

FSLabs Concorde Released
The price discussions about the A320 are actually a bit off topic, so no need to apologise, I think. As long as we are talking about a price range in the realm of "another Boeing", that's ok for me as long as the same level of quality is delivered. I just got a bit scared by the justifications (lawsuits etc). I would prefer a price range closer to a certain "Bombardier" though. So now I am leaving the people to discuss their Concorde. It deserves the attention after all.

FSLabs Concorde Released
What price range are we talking about here now that it should cover the eventuality of a lawsuit? I mean seriously...where is FSL going with this?

Guide to mipmapping and optimising textures
What I do is to apply the filter sharpen soft to the MIP maps. They look much sharper that way when seen from a distance.

Except P3D v3.2 soon...
You title is very misleading though.

P3D V3.1 - Dynamic Reflections - be careful with this setting.
Rob, that's a real picture! :Shame On You:

Aircraft that use the new dynamic reflections
Thanks for the screenshots, Paul. The AS Airbus do not show dynamic reflections as they use their own environment map. I asked in their forum if they were going to update it to remove the custom map for P3D users and their answer was vacuous (development costs, no interest, too soon to tell, but if others do it we will, we will see)...

P3D v.3.1 Mega FPS and water
This one made me laugh Shouldn't be WaitforV4FPS=1 though...? Merry Xmas

P3D V3.1 - Dynamic Reflections - be careful with this setting.
Thanks a bunch, Rob! What about fuselage? Not metallic, but normal reflection through an environment map. Does that mean that the reflections only appear when the fuselage uses the global map? As far as I know (the AS Airbus for sure) uses a custom environment map.

+1 I am hundreds of miles away from my PC and would love to see it an on existing 3PD airport. Cheers
