Delayed rendering when switching views since SU4
.................but in another thread you said, effectively, this was God's gift to flight simulation. By any metric, this has been an abortion from the outset.

FRAME GEN HELP PLEASE
With a 5090 and 16gb VRAM you shouldn't have to back off anything. I'd suggest there's something in your machine that's causing the problem.

MSFS2020 Locked Frame Rate (not asked for!)
This event has only happened (to me) in the past 24-48 hrs (during which there's was a MSFS update last evening when I entered the sim). My FPS 'test' is the PMDG 737-800 on 27R at LHR, clear skies, no AI traffic etc in Full Screen and with my 4080 Super I get around 85 fps. At my home airport in the Cessna 172 this goes up to around 125 fps. Since yesterday evening, and I've not touched any graphics settings at all, in Full Screen no matter where I go or in what, I'm getting locked at 75 fps at LHR and ditto at home airport. However, if I go to Windowed mode the higher frame rates as described are restored. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what was the cause and cure? Many thanks.

MS2024, worth it at this time or wait?
After the MSFS2020 debacle I held off on buying it for probably 9 months until it settled down and I now have a rock-solid sim. 'If you don't learn from history you are forced to re-live it' goes the old saying (or something like it). I sat back and watched MSFS2024 arrive knowing full well it would be no better than 2020's. I wasn't disappointed. Upstairs I have a voucher ready to purchase MSFS2024 that my darling daughters bought me for Christmas. I have been sitting, waiting and might go for it pending the reviews and assessments of Sim Update 2. I still suggest that the streaming model is the Achilles heel of this sim for so many without a decent internet feed (which I don't have). If MS offered 'hard' data I would probably buy it tomorrow. Meanwhile, I sit and wait.

iniBuilds A350 update worst performance ever
Just put v1.06 in my 'test' position: LHR 27R around midday inibuilds LHR 75fps (on a 4080 super)- no better, no worst than the PMDG 737.

Mandatory 8.7 GB Update, MSFS 2024 won't even startup.
As a native English speaker for more decades than I care to think, what the hell is 'flighting'? It sounds like a nothing-term from a pretty nothing-less organisation as things stand. If asobo is involved in anything important to real life, run a mile.

Majestic Dash 8 for MSFS?
The Dash-8 100,200 and 300 would be very welcome. There are still a lot in service; more than many types recently added to MSFS.

"Checking for Updates"
I recall that this was a complaint in the early days of MSFS20 that Asobo addressed in one of their updates which did, in fact, cure it. It would seem to be back; a punishment to the '2024' heretics. My log-in through the 'Checking for Updates' page is at minimum 4-5 times longer (now up to 5 minutes) than it was pre '24'.

Overexposed Clouds is Doing my Head In!
if recall, this was a problem dating back a long, long time. It's a classic photography problem eg your subject is in the shade of a tree; you expose for that by opening up the aperture for the 'dark' area but this also overexposes the background. In this case substitute subject with flightdeck and background for external world. There is a happy medium somewhere but it would appear to have gone missing because this was pretty much resolved.

What is the reason behind streaming?
Now you're talking...........the unseen and unquestioned Asobo/MS agenda.

MSFS 2020 Connection lost and CTD
Stick with it - it is taking at least 5 mins to get through this section of the loading. Until this candy-floss 2024 came along it was (for me) 45 sec at most. MS and ASOBO are lying crooks - so much for 'backward' compatibility (or forward, depending upon how you look at) of the 2 versions. I'm amazed that developers haven't launched a law suit for breach of promise.

Petition for MS2024 to be offline as well
'If they start that cynical and utterly vile tactic, I'll be out of MSFS completely.' In my opinion the entire MS2024 project has been a cynical money-driven project that will cost MS and Asobo dear.
- I don't think MS is throttling 2020

Petition for MS2024 to be offline as well
Can we start one to get rid of the asobo 'not' top team, too. We've suffered 4 years of them and they don't seem to be getting any better.

Petition for MS2024 to be offline as well
What kind of hit show is MS running? I'm trying to download an update for 2020 via content manager and I'm not even getting 1 Mbit/s on a 50Mbit/s connection. Can these clowns be taken to court under false advertising and general fraud?

Is this MSFS2024 anything other than a MS Moneygrab?
You're making an absurd assumption and talking through your jet-pipe.

Is this MSFS2024 anything other than a MS Moneygrab?
..............none of which couldn't have been added to 2020? You're an unserious person.

Is this MSFS2024 anything other than a MS Moneygrab?
...........and what does that have to do with the sun coming up tomorrow morning? Mine's a legitimate question that I happen to believe valid to ask. Of course, the rational world might look differently in the Minneapolis troll world.

Is this MSFS2024 anything other than a MS Moneygrab?
I've followed the hype from Asobo and hopes and aspirations of the YouTube word not allowed since MSFS2024 was announced. After yesterday's debacle (for which heads should roll), aside from the gimmics and 'gameplay' that Asobo seems to think attracts Joe Public, it would be interesting to learn of anything in this release that would not have been possible to introduce via upgrading (as has happened over the past 4 years) various sections of the 2020 program. Cloud provision is not one of them so let's rule that out for starters.

MSFS 2024 has been released!
The servers are bound to be under at the moment - but in the future it will be the servers that will be this sim's Achilles heel: a great idea to have everything in the cloud but impractical for many, many people. Just my 2 cents worth, yo understand.

WU 17 Today (Now live already)
I posted a few days ago and perhaps didn't make clear my observation/problem hence the people kind enough to reply didn't answer the question. I spent a considerable amount of time clearing my local area of the amazonian scale forests that do not exist in real life by creating exclusions. Since the last update these exclusions appear to be no longer having any effect and the forests have returned even more densely. Has something changed in the SDK and/or am I going to go through the tree clearance programme again? On a related note, the rivers in my area are, in the main, wide enough to spit across but are represented in the Sim as substantial waterway; how do I correct this? Thanks

Too many trees in some places of UK
On the subject of trees, I spent several hours expunging my local area of the amazonian forests that don't exist in reality only to find that they've all returned with this update. Does this mean I have to do it all again?

A question to an AVRO (RJ) pilot.
The (realworld) landing technique is as follows: 1. The approach is flown at Vref + 5 kts. 2. The airbrake is opened fully at around 150-200' (normally this coincides with DA/DH). In the aircraft the airbrake lever is pulled rearward to a 'stop'. All 'normal' landing performance is predicated on landing with the airbrake deployed. 3. Deployment of the airbrake causes a slight nose up pitch which must be countered (anticipated) to avoid going above the glideslope. 4. Deployment of the airbrake will bleed speed back 5kts to cross the threshold at Vref. 5. At 30' retard the thrust levers and adopt a 'landing attitude'. 6. For the idyllic still air/wind down the runway scenario, do nothing! Just let the aircraft settle onto the runway. 7. Touchdown shold be at Vref - 7kts. If autospoilers have been armed, they will deploy when a combination of squat swtich operations are met and , theoretically, no action on the flightdeck is required. However, to assure that any last minute fault in the auto system is catered for, the airbrake lever is pulled past the rearward position (airbrake out) to the manual spoiler detent.

Fencebuilder Query
I've spent the evening trying to get a fence out of the freeware version. I've succeeded in getting the sections to appear and they are along the perimeter of the area I've described. The problem is that each section of fence is offset around 20 degrees to the overall heading of the required fence line. What am I missing? Thanks.
