  1. Maybe there is a little bit more to this. Lateral unbalance is (in real life) surely a factor that is taken into consideration when preparing loadsheets on cargo aircraft. Of course only when there is double row loading like e.g. the 747 or other WB aircraft. Apart from the cargo also a possible fuel unbalance between the L/R wings counts towards the lateral unbalance. But this is a factor but that would be up to the crew inflight. There are for sure loadsheet limitations for the lateral unbalance. I do not believe lateral unbalance is simulated in MSFS so no need to check. But in my former company where we made loadplanning and loadsheets for WB freighters it was definately part of the procedure B rdgd / Dick
  2. Well, thank you ! That solved it for me. I was always waiting for the APU door to open before trying (without luck) to start the APU. But indeed if you hit the Start/Stop button straight after pushing the APU fuel button the APU will start. Not sure if that is the procedure IRL but anyway.. I got it running now..
  3. well, it's not so simple for some of us. I have seen YT tutorials where indeed the apu door opens at the touch of that button.. but unfortunately not for me, I tried everything. Reinstalled and checked for rogue bindings that might prevent the door from opening. Tried with all hardware disconnected but never ever does that door open.
  4. After the runway designator change last year EDDM current runways designators are 08R/26L and 08L/26R. You write that you had runway 25 and expected 24 ? Seems either your scenery and/or yr database is outdated. If after updating you still have difficulty give us and example and we can check. I flew into EDDM and got the correct data populated. I have never had any problem with ILS frequencies not poupulating..
  5. I kept Aivlasoft running without problems with 2024 using the 2020 database. That worked fine until I updated FSUIPC from version 7.4.18 to the new beta version for 2024. Would a pity to loose Aivlasoft.
  6. well, they are included.. in the documents folder.
  7. I am not your personal flightinstructor. Go and Google.
  8. The setting of the trim wheel on the Fenix works very well. Did you have hydraulic power ? Were all the indications on the lower ECAM F/ctl page green ? Did you start the engines to get hydraulic power ? The Fenix is called a study level aircraft. And that is for a reason. Maybe you have intrest in watching some tutorials on youtube ?
  9. Please explain what you mean with " trim goes down" . Are we talking about elevator trim ? Is it the black and white wheel next to the throttles that moves ? and what do you mean with "all the way down". After having done your performance calculations you find a recommended flap/trimsetting ( look at " flaps/ths") and that is the value you should adjust the position of the flaps/trim wheel to. And by default MSFS has assigned a key or axis to do this ..so also for you. Go to "control options" , then to keyboard of joystick (if you have one) and search for elevator trim up or elevator trim down. Use the existing assigned key/axis or assign a key and adjust the elevator trim. Make sure you do not have the GSX key also assigned to elevator trim as this seems to trigger your condition. You may want to do a google search for a tutorial on how to set up the aircraft and/or MSFS.
  10. It would maybe help if you describe better what actually happens.. you request boarding (how?) and " pitch trim goes down" is that on the actual aircraft or the suggested trim pitch by the performance calculator ? if on the actual aircraft can you bring the trim back up to the required value and solve the problem ? have you checked if the key to request boarding is also assigned to also change trim ?
  11. I have the same issue as you describe here. All my UK2000 airports measure 6.47GB as per the list in the remove/deinstall page. When I use a program to visualize the disk ( like Spacesniffer) I can see that on the disc they have the correct size. So I take it as an administrive error and I do not worry about it. Happy flying / Dick
  12. You did not give any information as to what airport and to what gate but GSX normally only uses the information contained in the afcad. If GSX does something wrong or unexpected most of the times the cause lies with the afcad of the airport in question. However as explained there is a GSX menu that allows you to configure various options like e.g pushback directions.
  13. Fuel in the center tank makes the aircraft noseheavy. Fuel in the wings do not affect the center of gravity that much. When the center of gravity is forward because of fuel in the centertank you will need to use trim to get the center of gravity in the desired position. This increases the fuelburn. So you really want to fill the centertanks last ( and use first). Contrary to what you say the aircraft is better balanced when the tanks are used one after another in the correct sequence
  14. but he probably uses a keyboard to fly the drone apart from a stick and throttle
  15. Good story, thank you ! I will follow in your footsteps soon. brdgs / Dick =
  16. In my case ASN also did not want to network anymore. Fortunately my firewall came up automatically, saying ASN was blocked and offering to deblock which I accepted and ASN networked without problems afterwards. b rdsg Dick
  17. Thank you both for the good advice. Will proceed as suggested. kind regards / Dick =
  18. Have been an active sky user for a long period until I got caught in the Opus hype. Now with the new version It seemed all very good so I got your trial version yesterday . I did install ASN on a second computer and was very disappointed about your minimalistic instructions on setting up. Needed to go left and right on the various forums to get the ins and outs of the simconnect and sdk stuff. Got that behind me now. Next ASN kept compaining that it could not install a module and it needed access to my flightsim folder . Have been working on opening ports. Right after I think I succeeded in opening the requested port ASN wanted a new key. Just 10 mins ago it still stated I had 6 days left and now it wants a new key. Requesting a new key is not successful. What I am supposed to do now ? thx your help / Dick
  19. or just close it and and open it. When starting a session with doors open GSX does not always get the state of the opened door right as it has not seen the opening of the door. Dick
  20. Topic title is misleading. The article reads " Lufthansa Cargo plans to phase out two of its MD-11s next year" . Most other MD-11's in the fleet were the last ones to come of the production line ( last one in 2001 ) and will see more years of service. The ones that are being phased out ( converted and build for another carrier) are non standard to the LH build aircraft and are more expensive to operate/maintain. b rdgs Dick
  21. I got no performance issues with the Coolsky dc-9 whatsoever. As mentioned there were some initial issues. These have long been resolved. The aircraft is very responsive and a joy to (hand)fly. The NGX has been in my hanger a lot since I have the Coolsky dc-9 b rdgs Dick
  22. There are at the moment 37 liveries available here: http://library.flight1.net/?cat=30 One of them an Eastern Whisperjet b rdgs Dick
  23. If your last fix was at a different location compared to the airport it will take the GPS longer to get a fix. So while in the plane the closer you are to your last fix the faster and easier a new fix will be obtained. I use my Ipad all the time in trains and planes travel and it works very well... ( indeed : provided you get a fix before you start to move.)
  24. Strange, I also have a retina Ipad and tried the same. Had already a fix while still at the gate. Using an app called Galileo, I could follow the entire flight. I could even see/follow the movements on taxiways. I had downloaded maps so no need for internet connection. Did you make sure to get a fix before you got on the plane to speedup finding your location once on the plane ? . Also best to try to get a fix while not in motion. In motion it is way more difficult for the GPS tp get a fix. Regards Dick
  25. The 131.136 that FsBuild is giving is way to heavy. That looks more like the DOW for the passenger version. The 113.850 that Topcat is giving is closer. The PMDG loadmanager gives 113.849. As to the routing of the MP aircraft, I guess you could look at the EHAM airport site on their freighter actual arrival and departures times. Maybe MIA and EZE also give actual arrivals/departures of freighter aircraft. This site gives you the routings and whereabouts of the MP (or any other ) aircraft: http://www.acarsd.org/Fleetlist_MPH_Martinair.html and if you go there you see a complete rotation of a flight: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/PHMCS. You can also search for other aircraft/registrations. The reason why the EZE flights are going via MIA is not only fuel, in that case they could have gone via the Canary Islands which would make a shorter route. They go via MIA because they also carry cargo ams-mia and also cargo mia-eze and I would guess the two sectors together could give more revenue that ams to eze by itself. Not even sure if ams could generate enough cargo to fill all the frequencies. b rdgs Dick
