FTSim Aircraft Sounds

Featured Replies

Has any of you had any experience buying from this dev?

I've sent several emails and have received no responses.

While I'm here, has anyone purchased this sound package?

Thanks in advance.

Jose

Don't, the dev has a lot of different sound packages for a lot of planes but often they're somehow one dimensional. Not a complete rich sounds packages like Boris or Echo. He has a Patreon page. Try it and decide 🙂

I've tried a few. The packages for the default Longitude, CJ4 and Kingair are very good and a must have in my opinion. The set for the PMDG 777 wasn't great. The good thing is you can just take out a one month subscription on Patreon, download the ones you want, and then just cancel it again.

I thought that you have to pay for 3 months before you are eligible to download full packages.

OR

Pay $18 for the package that I want to try.

I'm sure I've simply just started a subscription before, downloaded the ones I wanted, and just canceled it again only having to pay just the one month. Admittedly, it's been a while since I did that. $18 is probably a little steep for what they are.

It's not bad. $18 for the three that I want.

Longitude, CJ4, and C510.

If I only have to pay for a month, I'll give it a try.

a) I'm personally not a fan of how he presents and mixes his sound packs

b) Installation tends to be a living nightmare. Very few packs are "drop into the Community folder", instead needing sometimes multiple mods to text files.

c) Even when following those complex installation instructions, in around 30% of cases, the sound packs just don't work (for me).   Many repeated comments in his Patreon back this up.

d). As noted, replies to posts on Patreon or other communication doesn't tend to elicit a response from him.

In short, I'm not a fan.

For some reason, when you google this site, there are two links. One is the legitimate one; the other will spam you or even infect you with a virus. I don't remember if it's the link that ends with a .com or .net. One of these is not legitimate.

I managed to download the c510 soound pack and after following the install instructions, I hear no difference. Oh well. Back to the H-Jet or Vision Jet. I took advantage of their 7 day trial, so no harm done. 😀

See point (C) in my notes above 😄

Don't feel bad, there are at least 10 of his sound packs that I could never get to work,

I have been supporting him for years, good solid stuff, and now everything is drop and go into community folder... the longitude finally is complete now!!!
