  1. For some reason, when you google this site, there are two links. One is the legitimate one; the other will spam you or even infect you with a virus. I don't remember if it's the link that ends with a .com or .net. One of these is not legitimate.
  2. The current b727 from FSS is a very good aircraft. Detailed and pretty high fidelity. It would not be very difficult for this developer to go to a 707 and also to a DC8. I do agree that Just Flight seems to have very good luck with excellent vintage planes such as the F27 and the B146.
  3. If Asobo continues with its "legends" models, like the b707, there's no reason why the DC8 should not be considered. Hopefully, a more reliable developers should be assigned to the task.
  4. One feature of FSHUD is its ability to generate a flight plan by simply typing a departure and destination ICAO. This is done from within the sim and with a pop up menu. Within minutes, it will let you go to a parking spot with all engines on. From here you interact with FSHUD atc to proceed with flying. One other great feature is that in the pop up menu, the program displays a small directional arrow that essentially enables you to follow the flight plan by simply following that directional arrow. It also allows you to use simbrief. I have two ATC programs: one that uses simbrief, but FSHUD allows either method, and in your case, it's something that will simplify your flight planning.
  5. Normally Normally, that would be true. The msfs 2020 and 2024, however, has increased the hardware market to very serious levels, thus encouraging many "niche" companies like Brunner to scale up and reduce the price for the same quality. As with all things, the competition in hardware will become increasing more fierce, forcing some companies to lower prices while others to close their doors.
  6. I just picked up the next gen emb-110 for a few dollars from the market place. Before people jump on the " this is junk" bandwagon, I must say that for the money, this aircraft is a wonderful--no stress-- twin turbo to fly short flights on a moment's notice. Everything seems to work, that is, the basic stuff such as autopilot and other main features, all seem to work fine. In a matter of minutes, I can fly a short run, even manually, and have a lot of fun taking off and landing. In manual mode, the aircraft stays level nicely and takeoff and landing behavior is somwhat realistic. Acceleration and deceleration appear to be pretty good. Sounds are not the best, but then I've come to accept less than perfect sounds in most msfs aircrafts. The cockpit all analog layout is a beauty--at least for those of us who still favor analog guages. Yes, I have the high fidelity aircrafts from PMDG and others, but at times I want to be a lazy pilot, that is, plan an easy gps flight that takes less than one hour so that I can then go to my other family obligations. This aircraft allows me to do that time and time again. A sign of a good aircraft is one that you don't mind loading the sim with after the first time. I am old sim veteran, so I give this aircraft a strong 4 for things just feeling right--- unlike a virtualcol aircraft, which never gets its flight model right. This aircraft is not perfect, but for the money it provides a lot of band. Even the beta reverse work well. Please be forewarned that if you're looking for a PMDG or Fenix at this price, you'll be disappointed. This is a much, much better aircraft than many of Asobo default aircrafts.
  7. Thank you for providing a clear, technical explanation regarding MIDI and A&O. A&O is one of the best utilities for button assignments.
  8. I've had this issue for many years. Sometimes, I have to totally delete the button assignment and start from scratch, which happens to erase(reset) whatever is making it misbehave. There's definitely an issue; it's just hard to record it and analyze it in order to seek a solution or provide evidence of the problem.
  9. I experience this behavior regularly, and it comes down to perhaps the first step that you're supposed to do when programming A&O. I am going by memory, so my apologies if I get this wrong. If I press a midi button before I declare what kind of button I am pressing, I think A&O behaves badly. I think you need to press the "rocker" radio button and then move the midi dial either left or right in order for the correct direction to stick.
  10. I see a $pc$ folder containing all the msfs store content. I have another folder with the same name but without the dollar signs. Any idea how this might have been created, and can it be deleted? Thanks.
  11. I use the msfs elevator trim with no issues.
  12. They've done such a great job with the 727 that making a 707 would be a natural evolution.
  13. Upon further examination, I suspect that the cause is due to conflicting controllers. I have a custom throttle quadrant with two controllers. One controls all the levers and buttons. The other controls only the reverse levers as analog axis. Axis and Oh's often confuses these axis despite using the isolate option. There are no visual cues other than one of the throttles become jittery and erratic. So far, a flight with the reverse axis deleted appears to keep the throttle very steady. We'll see.
  14. I've been using AO for many years. It's a great program. I have a question regarding the behavior of one of two throttle levers in msfs that occasionally fluctuates from 0 to 100 and back to O randomly. It simply appears to have a mind of its own, despite the axis behavior in AO looking normal and moving normally. I have tried all types of axis configurations in AO, checked for double mapping, etc, etc. Nothing seem to correct the issue. The only way to "fix" this issue is to map this one axis through the controls options in msfs. The axis don't appear to get crossed in AO; everything looks normal except for the erratic behavior in the aircraft. It's not just the animation of the lever, since the actual engine is affected. Can you provide some clue as what is the difference between that one axis mapped in the sim and the same on one mapped with AO. When it happens, it happens only with one throttle lever. I am stumped. I've calibrated the device and it all looks normal. I am happy to provide additional info, including a video if it helps. Thank you.
  15. Does it work in Windows game controller window? If not, try another usb port. If this does not work, try another computer. If this does not work, it's most likely a broken throttle.
  16. thanks, it was right there, but I had missed it.
  17. I notice that from time to time when I open A&O axis window to make a few changes to the assignments, the axis changes to either a different axis or even an axis belonging to a different USB device. Once an axis is recognized by A&O, is it possible to lock it? I have more than one usb controller and at times A&O gets confused. Perhaps there a more sure way method that I'm not familiar with so that an axis, once it's recognized, remains unchanged.
  18. With my 3060ti, I was happy running at 1440 res and averaging 30 fps with airliners and traffic addon. I recently upgraded to a 9070xt. Yet, I am frustrated by the fact the my fps have not changed. If anything, they are lower. As a fairly experienced simmer and pc nerd, I tried everything imaginable. One thing I notice is that the latency of the cpu is in high 20's, while the GPU is practically zero. Lod or TOD make no difference. Whatever changes I make in msfs graphics setting barely have any effect. At this point, I welcome any theories.
  19. Both sims are microsoft products, so it's not necessary a bad thing for the company.
  20. I am running msfs with a 3060ti. At 1440 res, at times the card runs out of vram, so I need to keep the res at 1024 or keep msfs graphic settings at medium. This, of course, depends on the type of aircraft that you fly. Some airliners have a tough time with 8 gig of video card Vram. I would not upgrade to a card having less than 12 gigs.
  21. Just received a notice from simmarket of an update. Where can I see the changelog before dowloading the file. Thank You
  22. Correct. The manual does describe a lever that changes the propeller pitch for flight and ground operation. I will test this feature and, if effective, I can disable the "beta". Currently, Axis and Oh's enables me to configure the throttle lever so that at some point in low end of the travel, it can trigger reverse. My custom homemade quadrant has a detent point for such operation.
  23. Interesting. In fact, the throttle image in the sim does not have a "beta" section. When I was calibrating the throttles, I noticed that both engines go into beta, thus slowing the aircraft. The spot view HUD also confirms this. Based on your information, therefore, I suspect that Inibuild applied a generic "turbo" solution to this aircraft. The low price tag is always a good indicator of fidelity or lack thereof. That said, most of my flying is in smallish airports, and the reversers sure help fly this aircraft into smaller fields.
  24. I just flew it, and so far, the plane is gentle and does not have any apparent quirks. I have not tested the autopilot, but the reverse thrusters appear to work well. Instruments, for an old guy like me, are a bit on the smallish side, but nothing that Chase Plane cannot fix. The choices of GPS are very nice. Nice place for nostalgia purposes and freight dogging.
