January 8Jan 8 So, after purchasing the DCS World C130J I decided to give the FS 2024 closest addon a chance too... Well, I confess I haven't had much time to test it, and I know it's early access, but heck ! failling all 3 engines in a row: #1 #2 #3 and practically not having to use any rudder to counter the prop and deal with the loss of power even with #4 at max continuous is... hmmm, well... Wonder if it's an MSFS limitation, which I honestly tend to believe it is, because in all other multi prop aircraft in FS 2020 and now FS 2024, engine out scenarios causing asymmetry are way to faint compared to RL, and I guess some are using their CFD already. I asked a few questions at their support forum, but, yet another deception, they're rather "absent" (maybe they relay more on Discord(?), but that's not my beach, no no...). As I wanted to be able to compare both versions, I tried the same scenarios with the DCS C130J and got the "response" that was expected, according to the real aircraft Flight Manual 🙂 DCS is a winner 🙂 Edited January 8Jan 8 by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 8Jan 8 I bought it but as a long term investment. It's not ready yet. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

The link I received by email, and the only I get from their Support Forum is still for 0.8.9, but I see 0.8.11 already being tested by some simmers? January 8Jan 8 It would be 0.8.11 if I had it installed. I've tried it a few times over the last few months but I'm going to wait until it is out of beta now before trying again. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
January 8Jan 8 I tend towards a different view, at the beginning I really had trouble with it, but the latest versions are good enough to fly, if not perfect yet. There is some considerable engagement by the lead dev on discord at times, with insights. Kevin Firth - AMD 9800X3D; Asus Prime X670E; 64Gb Cas30 6000 DDR5; RTX5090; AutoFPS
January 8Jan 8 Oh don't get me wrong, it's very good but there were just too many annoying little issues the last time I tried it. I'm happy to wait for v1.0. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
