I find the XP forum to be a bit more tightly moderated compared to the MSFS one. Maybe that has something to do with it? Just a guess.

There are several XP users banned from this MSFS forum. You can go to the XP forum and look for the R1 tag under their name.

Gotta feel sorry for the devs; it’s not enough that they give up their free time at unsociable hours to face what they know will be (at least some) uncomfortable questions on a global platform in thei

Disagree. Working in global business comms I’ve heard it said many times by native English speakers that French colleagues are unenthusiastic. Also Japanese, Scandinavian, Indian etc. etc. etc. Sure,

  • What I have learned in life is that there are people you will never be able to satisfy. Whatever Joerg, Seb or Martial do or say, it's never enough because they forgot to mention this or that or they

That would be R1. Which was enforced earlier than "NoXP" AFAIK.

That's why readers of this subforum unfortunately can't enjoy legendary mSparks predictions anymore.

I was wondering where they went to

Jorg has already said that they're not going to get into adding features until the sim's bugs are put under control.

Im just factually responding to the question the forumer asked. If you feel the need to provide an explanation you can address him. I barely use MSFS2024 for it to be a concern of mine at the moment.

Do you own research and you'll see there's "lots" to improve.

Actually I'm one of the 3 that like the sim as is.

It was much worse in the XP forum for years. It was flooded with MSFS disciples practically every day (that's why some of them have the NoXP tag now).

Sounds like you missed the disciples playing in your sandbox, so come over here to throw sand back in their faces? How grown up we are.

Oh ... you know ... you can be glad that I only post something here every few days/weeks. It was much worse in the XP forum for years. It was flooded with MSFS disciples practically every day (that's why some of them have the NoXP tag now).

I can honestly say that I frequent the XP forum for years and the other forum not named MSFS and can say from IMO MSFS is bought up from the more hardcore users of their forum than MSFS users going over there and starting drama I certainly have not seen it. They bring it on themselves.

From what I can see, there are 2.  But I'll say 3, just in case.  That hardly counts as "several", but if you like using that word, so be it.  And I think there are the same number of people here, banned from the X-Plane forums.  You being one of them.

The drama has certainly slowed down by a huge factor.  It took a while, though.  There are still some people who can't help themselves, and keep the drama going.  Even as recently as within the last 24 hours.  But every forum has those types.  Debates are good.  It's when they get personal, is when they go too far.

Goran I sincerely respect you as a developer of one the best addons ever made for flight sim. But your comment is simply not true. MSFS folks usually don't just rush to the other forums to start problems. Heck  we to busy here debating about our own product MSFS (2020 vs. 2024), Do you not agree?

I can't think of many but I know of 2 individuals that used to frequent the XP forum (who were XP users in the past) that likes to go there and were starting nonsense. They do not go there anymore though (probably banned) now they are here starting stuff because they don't know better.

There's at least one who posts about clouds, and another one who posts about the default A330, in every single update thread.  About 1 or 2 years ago, it was worse.  Hence the "NoXP" tags on some people's names.  Prior to XP12's release, there were people going in there posting things like "XP12 won't be released because MSFS is far too popular."

I have the posts to prove it.

Years ago, it was far worse.  I, personally, was on the receiving end of some of the most vile comments I've ever read when I first went to XP and posted about it in the XP forums.  Another person, who I will name, as he is no longer here, because he was banned for the following stunt, decided it was funny to scour the internet for a photo of me taken at the Orlando expo, and use it as his avsim avatar.  His username was "devgrp".

There are some people I recognize in here, who were in my facebook groups who switched to MSFS, who are the nicest people I've seen when it comes to social interaction, just get demolished by hate when they post a criticism.  But I don't want to get into social media, because it gets so bad there, due to MSFS ONLY users, some from these forums, deliberately join X-Plane facebook groups, just to troll them.  As well as trolling x-plane.org.

So it does still happen, albeit rarely.  But the moderating has drastically improved.

And yes, I agree with you that MOST people here, argue amongst themselves about MSFS.  But as I said, there are a select few who wander outside these walls to stir the proverbial pot.

Goran I read and understand your post but I was merely talking about AVsim not the drama Reddit and all the other nonsense internet out there. But I see your point.

There are a lot of people with too much time on their hands I guess, there are also a few with hidden commercial interests those are the worst.

Criticism is good, it is what allows us to advance and improve and these are discussion forums but we should not take things personally.

PSA: I was one of a beta team hired by Microsoft to sow discord in any X-Plane thread. The pay isn't much right now, but there are promises of nice bonuses if I really manage to stir things up !
