  1. Will be picking this up tomorrow to resume my milk runs and then that's it for the 737 line for me. I'm good with the 700-800. No need for the rest.
  2. Pros.. Beta access to fixes that may affect you or fixes you were waiting on. (current example being the night time fix of the jaggies on AMD 90XX series gpus in my personal case) Or early access to test and validate critical features ( VR users appear to benefit most in this current beta) and the opportunity to provide feedback. Cons. Potential for Bad builds pushed (windowless autogen buildings), multi monitor framegen broken, etc Potential for bad performing builds 1.7.15 & 16 comes to mind in this cycle. Personally in my opinion unless there is something that is a must have (Like that AMD GPU fix or VR fixes) and you want to test and validate it i would skip. This cycle of service update does not appear to be introducing any major new features and the last two builds were pretty terrible performance wise. I even saw the guy that coded the TLOD adjusting app post about how bad the performance was. The latest build corrected the performance a bit though so there's that.
  3. Comment of the week right there. Hats off to ya ! 🙂
  4. Agree to some respect. Since Toliss are are responsible for the systems work i cant lay my concerns at their feet as from what i have been seeing they have done a very good job. Aerosoft on the other hand has me questioning their texturing choices and wingflex behavior. (And a touch of engine wobble would have been nice) I probably will end up purchasing this still based on Toliss involvement.. but i'm not getting wowed by Aerosoft's part of it..... as yet
  5. Already had the 2020 version.. Was going to leave it in retirement.. Looks like that decision is going to be reversed this weekend.
  6. Use the original download link provided to your email. No "reaching out to the dev" required. That original link gets updated when a new version is released.
  7. I have no questions as yet but i definitely will be following your progress in hope that when i do decide to drop my windows 10 install i have an option to NOT go with windows 11. Congrats on getting it running and i hope this goes smoothly without too many issues.
  8. The thing about the first two devs is that Bluebird "Sherv" belonged to a very respected team that demonstrated competency. His project may be slow but i know his standards are high based on this past work and i get the impression that Bluebird presently is not a large group. So i'm willing to give some deference to them there. Fenix .. complete unknown ill give you that but when they showed up they quickly put their money where their mouth was with their video previews to indicate that what they were going to release was to be taken seriously. Synaptic ... I've personally soured on them... too many promises too many deadlines blown ..... with or without iniBuilds backing.
  9. The issue i have with FSElite statement is that there is no specific previous reference project or person to fall back on. Its essentially a "trust us, these guys are good". If they are that good then provide some material to fill in the blanks such as examples of previous work and the like. I cannot get excited over 1 exterior nose shot and the Dev "actively" withholding their identity even though they are declaring they are veterans within the industry. The other red flag for me is setting a "coming 2026" date.. If you are going to throw that date out at least make it appear credible with something more than 1 solitary image of a part of the exterior model in your press release. Just my opinion. I am 100% sure some will disagree and are excited but yeah ... this press release and first impression is not doing it for me. And hopefully the press can provide a little more substance to this project and who is developing it since they should be at fsWeekend.
  10. @btacon Your a lot more gracious than i am.. Anyways.. Thanks for the post. Good to see that they are bringing this bird up to the point where it would be a shame not to have it. I had no idea they had a model and texture update in the works. I did not like the way they initially brought it to market but they are really getting my attention with these systems and model updates. Cheers
  11. Hopefully they fixed the missing windows in the autogen scenery and introduced the temp fix for the AMD RX90XX GPUS. If they managed those two then time to jump in. Update. The temp fix is in for the AMD GPU according to the release notes. But it still looks like auto gen building windows are still amiss.
  12. Right up my very limited GA flying alley. Immediate purchase!
  13. I believe what Luis states is correct. However to me this isn't really an issue. The default sim textures for me needs to be at the highest quality for me to be happy and on top of that Asobo cannot really go overboard with the resolutions considering they have to work with a ride range of devices and they have to be cognizant of the fact that the majority of people are not running 4090's/5090's to absorb the requisite increase in texture size. What i do is pretty much strictly monitor everything that is ADDED to the sim. For example AI aircraft has to be 2k or less and the liveries for the addons i use must be at max 4k. I will not use anything made in 8k no matter how "good" it looks.
  14. Can someone with the product comment on how resource heavy the MD-11 is vs the PMDG 777 ? And on systems depth ? Is this product systems complete and is the flight model a good representation of the real MD 11 ? Especially with the somewhat unstable tendencies of the real thing on landing. All approach modes are present and working such as RNAV/RNP ? Any issues with VNAV and observing and respecting SID/STAR constraints ?
  15. For me it does look better in Ultra.. .not by alot but enough for me to leave it enabled and find other ways of managing my VRAM (It does have a hit on VRAM) You and i both operate at similar if not the exact same resolution so i don't think your seeing things. Its just a matter of tolerance and for me coming from msfs2020 where everything was pretty much sharp and detailed going from that to "high" texture resolution in msfs2024 was not doing it for me so i had to bump it back to ultra and find the VRAM savings elsewhere.
  16. There's an argument to be had why some people bios disable onboard audio completely and go with a drop in card or external usb (DAC) device. For me it is two fold with the primary reason certainly to sidestep any "potential" issues based on the design decisions or build quality of the MB audio components or how it was integrated with the rest of the Motherboard. Now for Noel's issue it may get fixed with a driver update or something else down the line but i guess my question is why mess with all that when you can streamline the entire experience with a decent DAC such as a Fosi K7 or sound blaster X5? and not have to worry about audio issues (Unless your system is really messed up of course) If you know .. you know. Also @Noel I know we do not see eye to eye on most things but sincerely hope you eventually find a fix. Cheers
  17. According to the FAQ at beyond ATC its pulling its information from the sim. https://www.beyondatc.net/faq Therefore if you want to standardize everything you probably want to ensure that you're using the latest airac cycle from navigraph in msfs2024 (replacing the default sim airac) so beyond ATC can pull the data. As it regards to the runway assignment.. I believe (guessing) that's a weather thing (and the time it was assessed) so you're going to be on your toes occasionally for that one. But if BATC gives you a runway and a SID to fly and you updated the sim database to navigraph and you're using simbrief with the same matching airac you should not have any issues. Unless of course the Citation is not reading the updated airac from the sim and has no way of being updated.
  18. Yeah.. ive been around. Some are a little too eager with the pile on. Their "opinion has been seen and understood far and wide.. and yet every opportunity that opens up they "speak" regardless of whether the subject matter has no relevance to their grouse they insert themselves into the conversation. I'm no PMDG apologist by any means and Robert Randazzo does himself no favors with his unique personality and his method of conversation but at some point when the same usernames show up over and over and threads get locked you start to take note to who is actually providing their opinion and who has an axe to grind. Sure.. You may have a showstopping issue that they have not addressed or something is not up to your standard (Price, quality, cost, personalities). Your going to moan about it in every single thread? Or are you simply not going to purchase the product going forward? I know most reasonable people are going to do option two and check in to see if there is any progress/improvement to fix their issue.. but to grandstand about it every opportunity ? Yeah .. that's a bit much. You already decided you aren't going to support the product and its certainly ok to state why a couple of times .. Every time even when the topic at hand has nothing to do with your issue ? Eventually its an ignore for me.
  19. Had a chuckle with that response 🙂
  20. Simbrief You can create the plan anywhere simbrief is available (Web, Tablet app, In the sim using dispatch itself) and then click on the sim brief dispatch app in the efb to view the plan and then import into the sim. https://navigraph.com/blog/simbrief-msfs Simbrief pretty much only wants the Origin/Destination and aircraft type (select from the full range of aircraft types in the drop down list) and it does pretty much everything else with a decent amount of accuracy with options to edit parameters based on how advanced you want to go.
  21. Well if AMD had a look at it and there's not much done then one would hope Asobo has fixed this in the upcoming SU. We will see. I'm going to have to switch cards if this issue persists though. I fly mostly at night and its starting to grate.
  22. New drivers released this morning. https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-26-1-1.html There is a fix documented that looks like it may take care of the artifacts showing up at night for MSFS2024. Im not home so anyone with a 90XX series GPU want to give it a try ?
  23. The sound is great as expected lol But That landing arrival.. Oh my God. !!😬 Literally clenched everywhere on that dive bomb ..
  24. The Sim itself Fenix will run as expected if necessary AIG I run Simbrief/Navigraph/ Web browsing on my IPad when simming.
  25. Server isnt serving in the correct amounts usually. Or the network traffic is high or compromised. Normally its nothing to do with your own internet. Especially when it can be proven that everything else is working as expected
