September 12, 20241 yr As you might know sayintentions is an AI-based ATC solution and more (co-pilot and a few more). The biggest disadvantage is that it only controls your own aircraft; it can't manage any AI-traffic. That's what I've understood about it. It supports vfr, ifr, GA. It already supports v6 and soon also v5. I think it's not for me because of the disadvantage I mentioned. I think FSHUD can do a better job in this regard. FSHUD will come with v2 and that will also support speech recognition. I'm waiting for that. What are your thoughts about sayintentions? Rein Edited September 12, 20241 yr by Rein2
September 12, 20241 yr I appreciate they did offer a P3D version (even if v4 wasn't included). I wasn't counting on them. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9. XP11 and 12 installed, just for curiosity. Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there for airliner ops. FSX-SE also installed, just in case. Lossless Scaling in al my rigs. What a godsend... VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.
September 12, 20241 yr Subscriptions irk me. And that it's $200 a year is beyond me. A Navigraph subscription is half that and to me, far more useful.

Because I don't want you telling me off for something wrong I did inflight? 😝 Just kidding hahaha. I had already got PF3 when RC was still payware; that's why I never gave it a try until recently. And I think I did something wrong during setup, because I'm getting lots of pauses with RC and P3Dv5. September 13, 20241 yr I'll give another try today. One question, Ray: I understand RC4 displays the in-sim menu using AdvDisplay. PF3 uses the same window for displaying close captioning. In FS9, FSX and P3Dv4, the Adv display works beautifully, but not so in v5. How do you do for making the RC4 menus appear in v5? Do you have a second PC? Even a laptop is fine. I’ve haven’t used AdvDisp in ages. Ray (Cheshire, England). September 13, 20241 yr I don't know why you would have a problem. Rc4 displays in a resizeable window with Simconnect, which I shrink and move to the bottom left. The shift +z messages appear at the top. There is no need to do anything about it. It just happens! I have no idea why you would want to use the ancient AdvDisp. There is no need to do anything about it. It just happens! That's exactly what I do: shrink the window and move it to the bottom left, leaving enough room at the top of the screen for other P3D messages. As you mentioned, no user intervention is necessary; the RC4 read-out is automatically displayed. As for AdvDisp, if I recall correctly, AdvDisp was necessary a long time ago (FS9 or FSX?) for RC4, but that's certainly not the case now. Now I see why you all ask that: I was confusing the ancient AdvDisplay with the more modern FSUIPC/SimConnect display. My apologies! Let me rephrase my comment: in FS9 and FSX, the FSUIPC display works beautifully, and I can hide and show it at will. Not so with P3D, at least not with PF3. But at least RC4 looks like a very good option for my laptop (while keeping PF3 in my main rig). September 14, 20241 yr This went off-topic quickly... Up until now I haven't used SAI much, but I've just started a subscription and am very much looking forward to using it. Primarily with MSFS, as the type of flights will better match that sim, but I'm very pleased I will be able to use it with P3D as well.
