I'd be interested to hear your thoughts (I won't be flying for a little while so can't check myself)

It offers some good features, but it would be even better if it could read my addons collection and populate the target aircraft list with what I have installed...  Even the default C172 is not offered as a target..

The "advanced" mode is very cumbersome and potentially fatal, re CTDs..

Hopefully, this will be enhanced over time.  😉

Yeah, looks like a good idea but I'd rather focus more on flying than fiddling with the sim. Maybe if it gets optimized and is much faster with setting up.

I just tried to match the French Flying Boat to the Grumman Goose, both options in the provided list...

But no luck... I see a Bonanza.. 😟

Must be doing something wrong..

Update:  It is working now.. not really sure what changed..  😉

I did set traffic variety to Ultra, per the Hints sheet.. maybe that was it.. do not know.

Either way, nice to have this option!

One thing to note, is that the targets include the XBox liveries which some of us have removed from our system..  If that applies to you, you may have to edit the aircraft.cfg file in the output file and remove those Flightsim sections.

Just a clarification... for multiple planes, multiple cfg files.. 😎

Slightly off topic but is there any way to use AI traffic to substitute multiplayer aircraft? Back when I used AIG, if a player was flying a 777, I would see them as an AIG 777, but when using other programs such as FSLTL I just see them as a Bonanza. I know you can create a VMR file that is used with Vatsim for model matching, but is there really no way of using the same type of file for model matching within the stock multiplayer?

Not sure if this is off topic at all... This utility is operational when flying stock multiplayer, and allows you to match airplanes so that you see a specific aircraft when the other player flies an aircraft/livery that you do not have installed.  You should no longer get a Bonanza when MSFS cannot match up the planes.

As an example I got airliners when others flew an F16 or F22 which I do not have.. now I get a default F18 instead.

 

I've given it a try and I'm quite liking it, pretty much all of the planes I used to see were bonanzas simply because the other player had a livery I didn't have so atleast I'm seeing mostly correct models now. The drawback is as i'm on premium deluxe, other players deluxe aircraft that I may have seen are now standard msfs aircraft, but I think I read that the creator is going to include premium aircraft later on. Being able to import aircraft you own I can see as being very good, although I haven't dabbled with the advanced features as I don't want to screw up the sim. Defintely has potential. Now I wonder if I can import AI aircraft as target aircraft?

Not sure I understand... the aircraft you have installed should match correctly, only the ones you do not have installed are replaced..  I just saw a Longitude show up... that is not a standard aircraft..
