Years ago, I proposed to Mathijs at Aerosoft the possibility of them creating Spaceship one for FSX.

Even wrote to Mr Branson about it, though I lost the reply letter years ago.

Was decided that the licensing would be too expensive. 🙁

Bleah.

Some nice footage.

Notice the piece of debris float away at 1:59

While impressive, I'm not sure I would want to fly on this (assuming someone else was paying for it as I certainly don't have the money). At least with New Shepard and Dragon there are escape options if something goes wrong, like the engine blowing up for any reason.

Fun fact, and somewhat off topic.

The Moon has enough oxygen bound up in its regolith to support every man women and child on the planet for 100,000 years. 😲

I do know what you mean.

What would happen if the "feather" mechanism failed and you therefore couldn't generate enough drag for re-entry? Yikes! 😞

Hey!  Everyone was wearing parachutes on their backs!  On the count of 3,  yell GERONIMO and bail out!
