You are right that politics, especially in the US, divide people. 2 races, 2 parties, bla bla. But COVID is a disease. Scientifically proven. There are millions of deaths and a lot of statistics about it. I don’t get how one can say that this is all just made up political stuff. They are using Covid to divide people into groups as well, the vax vs the unvaxxed. It's the same word not allowed. Same with gender, race, now it's this. And obviously those that are vax'd can blame the unvaxed for getting sick, etc. Look at where this thread is headed. It's not hard to see that. I never had the classic symptoms, I had a headache which lasted for two weeks, massive fatigue which lasted for three months and brain fog. just coming out of a recent infection (positive PCR) with added man flu for desert and it’s not as bad this time but I can feel I’m not right still. I’m a very active person, I cycle to a high standard and train 8-10hrs per week, my VO2 max is in the superb level which gives me a fitness level of a very fit 20yo (I’m 50) - but it absolutely smashed me last year. my advice is if you catch it rest rest rest - don’t force the issue as you will end up with complications like I did with my heart. Secondly if you aren’t fit do something about it! There are many people, that have recovered from covid that have still have symptoms that last for months afterwards.

People without understanding often erroneously believe all vaccines should prevent infection, but that is not how mRNA nor conventional vaccines, nor natural immunity work. It's true but that will not prevent you from having it anyway despite the vaccination. Whereas a vaccine is designed not to have it. I have friends who have been vaccinated but that didn't prevent having the covid 2 times.

December 11, 20214 yr I know several people that have had it. Some got it really bad, other had a mild cold. I don't know anyone that died from it, but have friends who say that they do. I don't distrust vaccines in general, I do however prefer to take them after they've been on the market for 3-4 years, I don't like 'new' anything when it comes to medicines. I just got vaxed on 12-7 because I'm a federal contractor and I was told to get it or lose my job. I'm just too darn old to start a new career. Literally minutes after I got it, a judge blocked the mandate, and I didn't really need to get it. That fellow who chose not to get it and died, died happy knowing that he lived his life free.
