Qas Just to throw another one into the mix, What about the 43" Asus ROG 4K with G-sync & Free-sync?? Maybe out of your budget, but ticks all the boxes. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/asus-rog-swift-pg43uq-4k-gaming-monitor-review-jumbo-screen-extra-bright Based on my personal experience, the jump from my previous 32" non G-sync monitor (2560x1440) to a 34" curve monitor (3440x1440) at 2K made a significant difference from two aspects: The fluidity in P3Dv5 is the best I have ever had. Cant speak for MSFS since I have not purchased that. I believe some contribution for smoothness came from G-sync. The wide screen makes viewing the cockpit of modern airliners much more enjoyable and I adjusted my in cockpit display settings so that I am viewing at 100% zoom with the eyepoint adjusted based on forwards/backwards positioning of where the pilot sits. Note: I did not opt for 4K wide screen as my GPU would probably not be able to handle 4K, so I compromised on the resolution a little, but with a RTX 3090, a 4K monitor like the one above or the others mentioned above should have no major issues. Good luck on your decision making and purchase.😉 Spoiler System specs: MFG Crosswind pedals| ACE B747 yoke |Honeycomb Bravo throttle Now built: P3Dv5.3HF2: Intel i5-12600K @4.8Ghz | MSI Z690-A PRO | Asus Dual RTX 4070 Super OC 12Gb| 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200Mhz |Samsung 980Evo Pro PCIe 500Gb | WD Black SN850 PCIe 2Tb | WD SA510 4Tb |beQuiet 802 Tower Case|Corsair RM850 PSU | Acer Predator X34P 3440x1440p Mark Aldridge MSFS 2024 SU2 & P3D v5.3 HF2

If you had a 21:9 4K display the resolution would be 5120*2160 which is over 11 million pixels to control. Performance would suffer. Ray (Cheshire, England). February 24, 20215 yr Hi Ray, Sorry you lost me there. Maybe you can explain further? The example I gave of the 43" Asus monitor is a good example. It is 4K since it has a max native resolution of 3840x2160, which is one of the standards quoted in many sources as being Ultra HD 4K for resolution and also has a 16:9 aspect ratio. The vendor does advertise this monitor as being 4K. I would certainly think that 43" classifies as a widescreen monitor given its dimensions (974.58 x 570.62 x 74.6 mm) hence the comment above that I stated this is a "4K widescreen monitor". Note, I did not mention any aspect ratios in my post above. Sorry, it may be down to how we define widescreen. 3840*2160 is 16:9 which technically may be widescreen but I consider that to the the standard format these days since 4:3 are no longer available. Others talk about widescreen when they are referring to ultra-wide screen such as 3440*1440 which is 21:9 and definitely ultra-wide. What I was saying is 4K monitors only come in 16:9 (3840*2160). Hope that clears things up. 👍 Ray (Cheshire, England). February 24, 20215 yr OK. I can see where you are coming from now. I was thinking more along the lines of physical size of the monitor when I wrote that post. Thanks for the clarification. 😉 Cheers Mark.
