March 2, 20206 yr A bad AI plane (usually a corrupt texture file) is a very common cause of CTDs...have you tried running the sim with absolutely NO traffic, IOW all traffic sliders set to zero? You had said you'd gotten down to nothing but your custom AI and MT6...it could well be that your custom AI is the issue. Another problem is that I'm literally unable to install any of the debugging programs I've seen like AdPlus.vbs or Microsoft Visual Studio because it ether says installation failed or just loads forever...Honestly, my whole computer is outdated.
March 2, 20206 yr Sometimes just hitting the big reset button and rebuilding Rome from the ground on up is the fastest way out of the hole. Troubleshooting a problem that might be as innocuous as a single corrupted system file buried deep in the mix can take longer than a full rebuild. I probably end up doing it once every couple of years on average. March 3, 20206 yr Author Okay so my first test was to do a flight without FSPassengers. Surprsingly, I got pretty far into the flight, was able to increase sim speed multiple times with no problem until 3/4 of the way through. (KBOS to LIRF) When the game froze on me and said not responding. It didn't CTD but I ended up having to force-close the app as it wasn't going to budge. An Application Error actually showed up in Event Viewer this time, but unlike other times, the faulting module is something ENTIRELY different. Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.62615.0, time stamp: 0x559f9a9a Faulting module name: acontain.dll, version: 10.0.62615.0, time stamp: 0x559f9ab3 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00008fe6 Faulting process id: 0x15a4 Faulting application start time: 0x01d5f114f6876355 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\acontain.dll Report Id: 31217c80-5d0f-11ea-9c03-60a44ccb96c6 I'm might try to fly again tomorrow with AI traffic disabled. If it's the AI causing these crashes, then it's either there's something wrong with my MT6 install or my computer sucks. If CTD still happen afterwards, I'm completely uninstalling the game and trying my luck with my Dell laptop. Edited March 3, 20206 yr by Fraroc
March 3, 20206 yr Author I tried with AI at 50% and no FSpassengers. I was able to get pretty far into the flight before it did another crash. This time it froze for two seconds and the sound skipped a bit before CTD. This time however, it left no explination or anything on either EventViewer or Appcrashview. All it left was an mdmp file and I can't open them because the program used to open them literally is not able to install on my computer. Can somebody help me? Would I be able to send the MDMP file to someone so they can help me decipher it? Edited March 3, 20206 yr by Fraroc

March 3, 20206 yr Are you running out of memory? FSUIPC will let you tract usable memory in real time. My machine is slightly more powerful that yours but when I added a bunch of add-ons, I started having problems from lack of virtual (?) memory, ie, that memory that's available for a 32 bit process. I had to dump ORBX and the high definition airports before I could successfully complete a flight. I understand that AI is a real hog. Jim Driskell James M Driskell, Maj USMC (Ret)
