You can switch quite a few items on and off, for instance Raytracing. You can deselect a lot of options but in this case the simulation will be not as beautiful.

Wait. Ray tracing ?? Now that is news. They never confirmed it before.

The fact that even with the airports looking far more gorgeous than FSX and Neumann states that the airports are still "okay" gives me a lot of hope for all the airports in next year's Flight Sim.

And as for seasons, there are billions of species on Earth. Aquatic creatures also have their seasonal migration patterns in addition to the land creatures.

One of the best Interviews i read about FS2020, looks like they moving toward a real Earth Simulator 😃

inclusive Wildlife!

(Danke Jörg, Tip Top!)

The wildfire bit just amazes me!  How cool would it be to see the entire LA basin filled with smoke on descent?!?!  And trains & ships?  Cannot wait!

They even take winter hibernation of animals into account... That's crazy.

I wonder how bears in caves are being simulated. Will they snore?

Verbatim Translation via Google Translate regarding VR:

"STANDARD: You have already addressed VR. What is the topic on the priority list?

Neumann: Very high! Asobo and I have years of experience with VR. We know what a lazy and a good implementation look like. We want to bring a good solution, for example by cutting off the cockpit from the rest of the world. Then you can move freely in it, and the world in the background does not start to shimmer. We have started with VR, but we want to do it right."

I don't know what this means...

"cutting off the cockpit from the rest of the world"

Anyone know?

There’s something a little Sean Murray-ish about Jorg that I’m trying to ignore. I think it’s the live forest fires and bears in hibernation chat.

Six months from now is May. E3 is early June. Just sayin’ 😎 .

They said the SDK would be out at the end of 2019.

They would put the earliest date for the release to be July 2020.

I could wait until July. But August in a no-buy.

LOL

Personally I have no problem waiting a couple of years (if necessary) for this game/simulation.

After 70, you become more impatient to see things happen😏

I thought people were becoming more patient with age? Or is that a common misconception? 🙂

Sounds like the monster PC's that are common place in this community will be able to spit out 60fps with all the sliders to the right.😛
