Sigh 🙄 Microsoft Flight Simulator is the name of the franchise. The vast majority (all?) of them have each had their own name. FS2020 is a name coined by the forums. I could be wrong, but I don't think that either MS or Asobo have referred to it as that.

As they are doing all their marketing using that name and have claimed www.flightsimulator.com chances are that they will just call it Microsoft Flight Simulator. They didn't give any version number or additional name to Microsoft Flight either. This makes sense if they plan to keep updating this version for the upcoming decade just like they do with Windows 10 (which, if I remember correctly, would originally just be called Microsoft Windows). So there's a chance they might still give the release a name, but given the amount of marketing already done around "Microsoft Flight Simulator" I'd say the odds are low.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X = FSX, Microsfot Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight = FS9, or FS2004, there will be a short name, either by the MSFS Team, the community or press, or someone 🙂 Example, P3D, XP-11, FS2020, MSFS, etc... people are lazy and don't want to type long names 🙂 Me included!
